i've been shooting xe4 for a month now and so far i'm loving it. this is my first XE camera or rangefinder style fuji.... i'm coming from XT20. I feel like the XE4 forces the users to customize the camera for their specific needs... i think it is more geared to street photographers, photo documentaries, casual photographers or as a secondary camera. The XT4 has more bells and whistles ... it is a Pro camera. I was torn between the X100V and the XE4..... the price point and the versatility of the XE4 were deciding factors for me. Thanks for your videos! Cheers!
Hello! Good points! I agree with you that you have to work a bit more to get the best out of the XE4. Its so much more compact and portable too! Were you the one who followed me on instagram just now? Very nice photos! I followed you back. Cheers!
Hey Andreo, I find X-E4 a perfect cute little 📸 for vlogging(mounted on Ulanzi MT-16 + Falcom F38). I almost always shot landscape with Fuji 16mm f/2.8 and night portrait with 7Artisans 35mm f/1.2 MII on X-E4. I end up buying a 256GB Sandisk Extreme SD card coz most of the time I shot 4K video with Etherna film simulation. This camera is a gem!!! 1/2 price of X-T4, NO COMPLAINT!
Hi Chen! The X-E4 is perfect for vlogging in my opinion. We have the same lens in the Fuji 16mm f2.8. I really like that lens. I have never tried a 7Artisans 35mm f1.2 though. How do you find it? Regarding the SD cards, yes we really need high speed SD cards with lots of memory to record 4k video at 30 fps or more!
Another informative video, Andreo! The missing IBIS for the XE4 is a dealbreaker for the videos I create. Totally agree that the XT4 does it all in a light form factor. Just liked the video!
I have an xpro2 and xs10 and the new autofocus is noticeable with shutter lag being slightly reduced. The biggest difference is in subject tracking with the new system being very good and the xpro2 being unusable. Honestly, while there is a difference, I can’t. Say that it is enough to justify the extra cost. I’m interested in the xe4 because of the size and flip screen. If you aren’t interested in those, keep your xpro2 and be happy with the gear you have. The xpro2 has the best build quality of any Fuji camera and I still use it often.
hello! sorry for the late reply, i haven't done technical testing yet but the sensor and processor of the XE-4 is definitely a big leap in terms of autofocus and processing power for the X-E4 if you compare it to the much older X-Pro2. The X-Pro2 was released in 2016 and has a X Trans CMOS III sensor while the X-E4 was released just this year (2021) with an X-Trans CMOS IV sensor
agree with the build quality of the X-Pro2. It is just very different in terms of heft (good) and ergonomics. The X-E4 was built (in my opinion) with portability in mind
Hmm in the short time that i had the xe4 i didnt notice heating during picture taking. But the xt4 drfinitely heats up while taking videos. Ive has it overheat a xouple of times
Why do you compare XT4 which is a flagship model, to the XE4? You should find out Fujifilm Japan’s actual target market for the XE4 It is not targeting the XE4 to users of XT4 and XE3. After you find out which is the actual target market as defined by Fujifilm Japan, you will realize many of your views and comparisons are wrong or irrelevant. If the XE4 has all the things that cry babies want (IBIS, weather sealing, dual card slots, huge EVF) then WHO is going to buy XT4 and other models?😂😂 Think about it. Many cameras have cannibalized the sales of other camera models, and that is a silly marketing mistake.
Thanks for your comment JK. It is definitely a different perspective on the XT4 vs the XE4. We simply did this video for fun because we wanted to compare the XE4 to the XT4. Im well aware that the XT4 is the flagship model of Fujifilm. And I know the XE4 is targeted to a new generation of users who want a no frills and compact body for photography. Took a look at your video on your channel. You definitely have interesting points. Again, this video was done just for fun and comparison since fujifilm philippines sent my friend the xe4 to review. The xt4 is my own personal camera. As i said in the video id love to have an xe4 and pair it with the 27mm f2.8 wr v2 one of these days for discreet street photography. Cheers

Thank you very much Darren! I wonder if they'll put IBIS in the X-E5. Now that would be something! 🤣
@@AndreoPhoto I’m still waiting on that Go Pro stabilization built into the Fuji cameras lol. Is that asking for too much?
@@calumetdarren hahaha now THAT would be amazing. Im pretty sure they can make it happen... one of these days 🤣

Good review Andreo. Kakamiss ang Baguio.
Thank you Luke! Hopefully you can visit after all of this is over!
How does the "old" X-Pro2 compare to the XE-4? Is the autofocus and processing power a big jump or small? Thank you 😊

Is it normal for xe4 to slightly heat at the bottom while taking pictures? Coz my xe4 slightly feels warm at the bottom while taking pictures

di din papahuli yung xe4 ah. napakasolid lang talaga ng xt4.
Solid talaga bai! Very small and portable. Pang ninja moves hehe
Pero pag merong gimbal the best
Tama bro. Pero as of the moment OIS, IBIS and DIS muna hehe
