Well done ! Working on that saw today..and looked now on the muffler. Mine has a different construct..and a long exit opening. But looks small though. I changed carb on it and fuel line now..and going to test more. Seems to be running good with brand new after marked..china carburetor. If I have trouble...I check my muffler too... But it is not choked that much I think..as we do not have extremists here...in that much amount...here in where Newsom or what his name is...not reach...no juristiction ha ha ha. Need to live..and not choke off everything...i recone. Have a nice day ! .-)
My Husqvarana 261 (EPA) has a black cap. They were a tuned down 262xp with a concave piston, restricted muffler, and 2 shoe rather than 3 shoe clutch. The muffler is a dual port but the front opening behind the deflector was under 3/8". On the 262xp that opening is a huge rectangle.
Hi sir from here in the Uk , I’ve been given the 141 model and have today done some basic maintenance . But all though I can get it to run it has been the same as your friends and will not tick over as we say , I did notice that the exhorts is different to your model but it is missing the wire mesh that goes inside the muffler . I was wondering has it been removed to allow the gases to escape , more easily as in your case . So do I need to bother replacing it . If not I suppose my next option is to look at the carburettor . Anyway thanks to your video I can go forward , and at the end of the day i have not lost anything other than time . Best wishes and kind regards to your good self. 😀👍👍👍
Thanks so much Michael! The screen is basically a spark arrestor as far as I can tell, Not sure what the laws are like over there but they require a spark arrestor here in the states to cut out in the woods, but would be less restricted without it for sure! Good luck with it Buddy!😉
@@KainKustomGarage thank you for your kind reply , I always say knowledge is king and you seem to poses such in great abundance . Best wishes and kind regards to you and your family. . 😀👍👍👍
Another great way to open up that muffler is use your dremel to cut a few slots in a row..then take a screwdriver to bend them out..facing down..like a loover..so water and such cant get in.. But I have three holes drilled in one of mine and never had a problem..lol. Grest fix
Yeah, A guy could do that as well, The front holes were quick and easy, and I wasn't sure if opening up the back hole would bypass the clogged screen, you'd have to cut one open to see🤔
@@KainKustomGarage i thought id ask i bought one that was a mess for 10 bucks that had that carb on it thank you for your quick response btw the tat is cool as hell
@@KainKustomGarage i just found out some information on the husqvarna 136 that may interest you sir. i ordered one last month and finally received it with the older huskys that had other carbs on the 136 and other models like it. the replacement carb that husqvarna offers is the zama carb its a direct fit sir. i just replaced mine. when i noticed it the parts shop informed me that they no longer support walbro carbs. which is what mine had.
You know what, I didn't think to look at the muffler. Got a pile of them cheap plastic saws laying around. Lots of em seem to do the same thing, start and die.

Interesting, yeah I couldn't believe that Muffler! That was the first saw I found that was plugged up like that....
@@KainKustomGarage That tiny outlet is trouble!
Great fix!! Nothing like letting a saw breathe!
I took the mask off!
I got 1, but it's locked up!❤
Aww man!

Thanks Jamie, yeah I thought about the slot thing too...probably would have looked more factory, lol
Have one on the bench just gathered the missing parts hope I done need to replace bearings because if I do its getting hit with a grinder lol
Nice Chippy!🤣🤣
Complimenti! La 136 va a benzina o a miscela? Grazie
😁
Same to my 136 problem..
What of "severely" opening that singular port? Maybe make it twice the size? I have a 142 that bogs for likely similar reasons.

Salut toba care ati puso la 137 de la ce model de drujba este?
Not sure on the drum size, Thanks for watching man!
So did you end up using the repop carb?
No, went back to the original, figured it would be better since the muffler was the real issue...😉
if you have a spare carb that is a zuma carb vs the walbro carb that is on it will that carb switch work sir ?
Hey Jim, boy, not sure theoretically if it bolts on and the linkage works you would think so! Give it a try!🤞🏻
