    I also hate it when the "computer expert" can zoom into a picture and it's all pixelated... then "Ok, enhance that." and the picture de-pixels and it's totally clear enough to get the evidence they need to solve the crime. The only camera I know of that can refocus a picture is a Lytro Camera.

    • @melkiorwiseman5234
      @melkiorwiseman5234 4 роки тому +70

      Well, it's not even a camera. It's just a picture, and you can't "enhance" a picture to get a clear image where you didn't have one before, so your complaint is even more valid than you might have known.
      Yes, there is a way to "interpolate" pixels when you enlarge an image, but all that does is "guess" at the correct colour to fill in by using the colour of the surrounding pixels as a guide, so all you end up with is a large, blurry image which becomes more and more blurry and indistinct the more you enlarge it.

Maybe they give up hiding and try to rush me, at least I didn't walk around a dark corner and get strangled. Maybe they just want to steal and get out, so they leave as soon as possible because I heard them. Maybe it's just an animal, and it will come look at me or run away. I have zero chance of overpowering someone, so I'm not going to sneak into the dark to catch them, and I don't hide and call the cops every time I hear a noise.

    Suppressor/silencer that turns gunshot into whisper. Most commercially available suppressors reduce the noise level to somewhere in the range of 130-150-ish dB for a supersonic cartridge and 117-130-ish dB for a subsonic cartridge. For reference on just how loud that is, an ambulance or police siren is typically between 100-140 dB. So this isn’t exactly the “whoosh” sound Hollywood depicts.

Then the villain could shame and mock the hero who is absolutely devastated and not in the right state of mind bcuz ya know, hero literally just did the deed of the evil plan amd having a mental breakdown especially if the thing is very important to the hero. Then the villain could either finish off the hero, or mind break them to be the villain's assistant. Idk thought it'd be cool for the villain to win and the hero to lose for that one moment. - That stupid "shing" noise whenever someone unsheathes a knife or sword.
    - Male protagonist can take a knife wound, a punch in the jaw, get thrown around like a ragdoll and beaten with a baseball bat but can still get up and fight - and win. Female protagonist gets pushed hard into a wall and falls and hits her head and can't get back up (or at most struggles for a solid thirty seconds before she does).
    - They always portray humans with wings flying wrong; the studio likes to show the wings broadside to the camera and flapping toward and away from the audience because it looks impressive, but this would only stall the flight and they should be falling. You never see this kind of wing beats from birds unless they are going to land - because they are stalling on purpose.
    - Adults trying to play teenagers, especially males. Teenage boys and fully grown men have different facial structures. You can see this phenomenon with Haley Joel Osment. As a young kid, he had a round baby-face. As a teen, it was much more angular. Now as an adult it has a squarish look.
    - Adding sound effects when they are not needed, especially the stock ones you hear all the time. I am currently watching a survival show. The person says it is very windy; you can hear the real wind, but post has added that "loud wind" sound effect for good measure. Or the Wilhelm scream. They were very worried that he wouldn't make it and warned his wife that it was a life threatening injury. Fortunately, he made a full recovery but the entire sport was shaken up by the incident. And worse, only two years later, a French driver, Olivier Panis had a massive crash in Canada. Several drivers, including Michael Schumacher and Damon Hill stopped their cars and refused to continue. The officials agreed the drivers had enough for the day and red flagged the race, ending it.

    No one said about when someone is forging a sword they always dip the hot metal into water before the actual forging is done, which is stupid because that is what actually hardens the steel. Not to mention that they usually only quench the tip rather than the whole thing. Or when they cast a weapon but then say that it was forged. Or even worse than that is when they cast a weapon then you see them beating on it with a hammer... that would never happen.

      Then again I think that modern grenades typically have something to stop the repinning bit from giving the user a sudden traumatic event.

      You can actually do it, it’s basic military training. The pin is just a safety that prevents the ejection of the spoon, that would trigger the grenade. As long as you hold the spoon in place, you’re fine.

If you are holding a grenade and pull the pin, aslong as you DONT let the spoon pop off (that piece that flies 50 ft away in every movie) you can 100% of the time put that pin back in and everything is fine. A scorpion placed on the ground 12 feet away from you isnt gonna leap for your jugular. Something being scary doesn't mean its murderous and evil and out to kill you.

    Star wars: The last jedi. Why, in the name of god is fuel such a concern. If we use the laws of physics there should be no resistance in space. No one ever "stop drop and roll" when they catch on fire. CPR patients never puke unless they were saved from drowning and then it's only a small mouthful of water. And this applies to TV shows too: The characters talk about a great work of literature that the script writer(s) has obviously never read. Technobabble that is more babble than techno. Female characters with no personality beyond love interest. (Bugs me with male characters too, but it's much rarer.)
    Incidentally, an episode of Star Wars Rebels revealed that it's not that Stormtroopers have bad aim. Jedi are just very good at ducking. Yeah, "The Force" explains everything.
