Thanks for sharing, I broke down and got this set too. I missed some of the earlier sets that share the same components as these thetles.
These guys have an uncanny resemblance to the "Coming out of their shells" turtles.
Still waiting for them to arrive but showed them off to everyone. My youngest kid was like "dad do they bite?"

It's a great set, really. I love that the line is strong enough that we can get joke figures like this. Reminds me of MOTU Classics where they would do things like Mo-Larr. Obviously this is a very niche release for people that grew up with that Christmas vid.
Think I’d just find some Santa hats and put them on the OG Movie turtles if I want Xmas turtles for 1 month out of the year.

I was able to find both the Mutagen tour pack and the extra goodies box on Mercari for $135 last week. brand new. It was a glorious find. They’re definitely still attainable.

tbh these are perfect as "exclusives," in that they are not absolutely necessary to have in your collection. Wish NECA would go this direction more often rather than make key pieces difficult to track down.

It makes sense this nightmare would come out in time for Halloween. They're really scraping the bottom of the barrel here. And the barrel is rusted out and sitting on top a pile of manure.
Yep! I wouldn't take these if they were free. That box would take up too much space. Someone would have to pay me to store these. I mean I don't even want my musical turtle set anymore, they're still in the box. Less buying, more selling, and more appreciation for what I've got is my ongoing goal.
*Plus going from middle class to poor class in the last four years has pushed me towards that.

They needed to reuse the mold fin the musical mutagen tour figures and I think the Christmas special used the same costumes anyway. So it makes sense they’d make this to get another run with that mold

This is the first turtle 4-pack I have passed on that wasn’t a convention exclusive. I just couldn’t bring myself to buy due to lack of accessories and bizarre design. Many people like this 4-pack though, so that’s cool, just isn’t for me.

Yeah, the STUMP Turtles is the first 4-pack I passed on. But like you said, at least those were all new. Now when they come out with the normal versions, absolutely I'll be getting those.
I actually really like these and wish i could get them but i dont have the money or the space and it doesn't help that i quit collecting but i think they are cool

Hatter, I'm normally right there with you - but I think you're being a little too hard on these. They're an obvious re-use of the Music Turtles sculpts as the Christmas special "variant." It's not a must have, but it's nostalgic for a lot of us. Sorry you regret your purchase, my man.

I have them sitting in my Walmart cart and I’m on the fence about buying them but after watching this review, you’ve confirmed to me that I do want Christmas ninja Turtles but I think I might use some of my tomb turtles and go to the hobby lobby shop and get some Christmas hatsand cut cloth scarf
Everything from TMNT 3 to this Christmas special were all ugly. Because Jim Henson wasn't making the costumes anymore. I got these for collectible purposes. I like them even though they're awkward and creepy looking. 😅
I want it...just not sure if it's worth it right now. They should of waited a month or so to put them out. With the wrestling & black & white monster turtles that is now 3 4 packs all out at the same time at 150 not to mention all the recent single/ultimate & 2pack releases from toon/movie/ronin/mirage/Archie/ 1st turtles. Just way to much flooding the market all at once, unfortunately

Now... idk if it's just me... but the body of these figures look just like the KO movie figures from aliexpress/ebay. The color of the heads doesn't match the color of the bodies... also they're missing the texture on the heads right? look... they look awful. Your video pretty much sums up my opinion on them as well. Thanks for taking one for the team!
Who knew the day would come when the MadHatter is not impressed by a NECA TMNT offering. I personally passed on these. Not enough bang for my bucks.
I don't have the nostalgia for these like I do the Coming Out Of Their Shells Tour ones... but that set should be $85-$90 at the most. Toys are too much, man...

Why should I listen to you on how I should be financially irresponsible...? They're not as bad as every lazy repaint they've dropped halfway through a line's lifecycle. Im getting a set. And if you're that indifferent on the set you bought, Hatter, you can send them to me. I will happily take them off your hands. They will look nice with the Super7 ReAction Christmas Turtles I have.
