In this clip, U-God spoke about Wu Tang knowing they made it after dropping "C.R.E.A.M" and recounted the process of making their second album. U-God talked about having a lot to say around that time and was constantly gathering his rhymes. When asked why Wu Tang dropped a double album for their sophomore output U-God sarcastically told Vlad, "Ask Steve Rifkin."
U God spoke to VladTV about the budget for Wu-Tang's "Triumph" being set at $1 million and not realizing how big the song would blow up despite knowing that it was a powerful song. He went on to speak about touring around the world, but U God said that he still has hopes that Wu-Tang will be able to perform in Africa. To hear more, including differences he's seen at UK shows versus the U.S., hit the above clip.

U-God had one of the best flows and voice of the Wu-Tang. He was underrated and underutilized.

This dude need some anger management counseling 😁😂😂 GEEESH😁
He's been through alot but he's calmed down alot.
Fhomie1 mane stfu he’s just being himself.
Fhomie1 is that you Vlad cruising the comment section? Lol
Son this how ny niggas is silly
Fhomie1 , he gets his anger management issues from his momma. She was a single mother and she went out of her way to not show him affection. He said that messed him up emotionally. In her eyes, she thought she was doing a good thing for him, because he didn't have a father to raise him and she didn't want to make him soft by loving on him.
From 1992 - 2019. Still my favourite of all time.
@Panshi Pants I could never really pick out 1. (If u r a true fan u know how it goes) but definitely up there would be
Built for Cuban links
Iron man
Liquid swords
The pillage
Not wu tang themselves but still under the flag
Killaarmy: love hell or right
Sunz of man: the last shall be first.
To add further, prodigal sunn & hell razah TWO OF MY FAVOURITES OF ALL TIME, they shoulda been in the clan.
Again can't really pick out 1 definitive album. Yep 36 chambers was the start. Wu tang forever cemented that status but just in terms of music (beats & rhymes) there's just too many & some classics that weren't even from an album.
A great example of that & most recent too (UA-cam it if u haven't already) ghostface & rza from that new ep, of mics & men. Think it called that's my shit. Check it out.
Sorry 4 the rambling on. See what 1 simple question did? I could go on 4ever but I'll leave at that 4 now. Peace
'Reunited', 'For Heavens Sake', 'Older Gods', 'Triumph' and 'Bells of Wars' are 5 favorite songs off that joint.
Greatest double disc album ever 🐐
life after death has something to say about that
“Triumphant”, you mean ‘triumph’? Yea, that’s 1 of my favorites on the album, too, along with ‘a better tomorrow’, ‘impossible’, ‘hellz wind staff’ & ‘HEATERZ’.

I actually enjoy these U-God interviews. He seem like one of the unsung heroes of the group💯
All these years later, U God still sounds disgruntled.
Smile blood.

Whats up with the audio? Sounds like the battery packs died on the lav mics and they just had to wing it.

Vlad probably said the interview would start at 1pm, but had an opening and called U-God to start at 10 instead and didn't realize he woke him up - so the whole time U was getting dressed he was thinking "Man, fuck this mothafucka!"
I'll never forget u-God snapping on tha whole Wu on tha train in Tokyo. That shit was in 95' and this nigga still mad 😂

Wu-Tang: Forever & Krayzie Bone: Thug Mentality my top 2 albums
Deck also had a solo song on Forever (The City) so U Gods song was the other one but Deck and DIRTY (Dog SHIT) also had solo joints on that album.
All Eyes On Me was the first solo double Album. Life After Death was the second solo double Album. Forever was the first Crew Double Album.
Yup...💯💯
ODB also had a solo song called Dog Shit
The wu-tang documentary on Showtime is dope if your a fan of hip-hop check it out. He'll check out the Teddy Pendergrass on Showtime as while.
I think a double album counted as two on billboard or something, basically made it easier to go platinum.
I didn't realise Black Shampoo was a U God solo! That beat blew my mind! I used to bang that joint! 'strong lovin for your oven' Yea
Wow, the label sure didn't want Africa to catch that Wu Tang vibe through live concert. Crazy... The God said the fees were too high... Smdh.

Vlod keeps asking all these questions he already knows the answer to😂😂😂
He's asking on behalf of the viewers. He researches all this before hand and kinda asks for verification during the interviews is my guess. Every1 talks shit bout vlod but u gotta rate his work ethic.
