2 questions : - Availability in EU , when en especially where ( very few wholesalers carry Fieldpiece over here unfortunately) - Is there gonna be a rebuild kit for all those gaskets when they eventually wear off ? Cheers .
I read about these in the indoor comfort magazine. I think the siteglass is pretty cool, but I know site glasses on gauges are a prone to leaks so a nitro or vacuum test could bite you.
Ok, the comfort spinner is what got me interested, 100%. I've been wistful of a comfort spinner on the Appion core removal tools since getting cores put back in can be such a pain. Sightglass is an interesting idea, and I can definitely see that saving a few moments removing the removal tool and putting it back on when you find it didn't grab the core. Edit: Are the tools going to come with both 1/4" and 5/16" attachments, or just one, with the other sold separately?
@@HVACR559 I've actually broken the new appion VCRT by squeezing the tips. They're made from hardened steel i think, and they are not very ductile. The new appion stem (since a few years back now) all seem to have a little o-ring in them that grips nicely. The absolute biggest thing i've noticed about the appions is that if you go too tight on any of female fittings, the o-rings get chewed up quickly. You really do not need a ton of force to make them seal nicely. This actually goes for the appion evacuation hoses as well. If you go Hercules on them, the gaskets squish, which impedes the speed AND you get a leak the next time you use it. The vast majority of people who complain about the appions are being too rough on them. That said, when I replace them I'm considering trying the fieldpiece double ballvalve one. That design has given me a half chub. If fieldpiece has replaceable seals for them, then I'll for sure give them a try. If you can't get replacement seals. ..I'm sticking with appion.
YOU ARE THE BEST 🎉, LIKE ALWAYS.

i believe its sold seperately the 5/16 adaptor
"when did we start calling it VCRTs" lol like it was a disease or something.
Just get an appion, back it out till it clicks. If it doesn't come out then youve got the VCRT on too tight. Just finger tight.
YES! Squeeze the tip to grab the core and it will come out every time.

Nah I’ve heard it click a million times only to have it come off in the tool. The sight glass is awesome especially for only 25 more bucks
