99% of Singapore's durians come from Malaysia. Orchards sell to Singapore the better breeds as it fetches much higher price in Singapore than elsewhere. Also growing good durian depends on the soil, temperature, humidity as well, only certain area yields tastier fruits.

There are no durians plantations in Singapore. Only shops selling durians imported from Malaysia. Even those friendly workers in those shops are foreigners.
I do find Thailand durians tasteless and crunchy. Not what I like. But I guess everyone has different preference. Malaysian durian is the best in my humble opinion
I remember watching a Japanese show where there was a celebrity working at a food stall and this guys was her biggest fan and bought almost everything in the food stall. LOL. I might do the same If i come across GG working LOL.
