Synth Jam #6 - Deep (Spooky) House - Keep poking and the bubbles will come

- Just another synth jam/practice session, having fun and recording some ideas.
Dawless jam on the jdxi and pss480 - The nanoKontrol is connected to the jdxi via a python script running on a raspberry pi. This let me control stuff in the JDXi like volume for individual drum parts and envelopes for the analog voice.

This is awesome when the beat drops, really good progression, "left-right" feel.
I love your track :) I also have a JD-Xi and am looking for a way to control the hidden parameters. How hard was it to program the nanoKontrol?
I actually had a little python program running in the background (I am a developer so this might sound like black magic to you lol). The JDXi needs sysex messages, which are like MIDI messages on steroids, and the nanoKontrol only does MIDI. So I wrote a script to read MIDI from the little nanoKontrol and send sysex to the JDXi. Now if you are a developer I can probably organize the code and put it on github if you want to try. Let me know.
@@btraxproject Thanks for the offer but I don't think I can program it. Been trying to find a solution to the JD-Xi's menu diving because I love this little synth so much.
@@vivienkotler6652 cool no problem, have fun with it. One thing you can do is look for a MIDI controller that has sysex support, this way you assign faders and knobs custom sysex messages. I know roland have some. Also BCR 2000 from behringer I know can do that.
