As a Filipina, I want to emphasize that the Philippines is generally a safe country, but natural disasters like this can occur. Growing up, I experienced similar situations annually. Very sad to see. I'm so sorry for all of the people and animals--both wild and domestic that went through this. It was nice to see people trying to help each other and also the people who were ensuring that their pets got to safety. Most animals can't take care of themselves and need our love and help, and many people are in the same category.
@@JessaKChannel Hi Jessa. Thank you for your reply. It was a pleasant surprise since I didn't expect one since it had been two months since you posted this video, and thus I was just making a general comment about the terrible situation...now made even more poignant with the news reports we are seeing here in the US from the devastation in several states because of Hurricane Helene. It's sad to see for all of the animals, people, and environmental damage, particularly in a country like the US with ample resources and where you would think that we would be much better with both disaster prevention and response. We seem to have learned nothing from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. Also, I wanted to say that I found your channel because of your and John's interview on the Filipina Pea's channel, and I really enjoyed that interview--one of my favorites from her channel--and thought that you both made a very cute couple who seemed to love and respect each other and have fun with your relationship and with life. Then, I just happened to notice one of the other comments from a poster, and I was saddened to learn that John had passed a few months after your interview. I wanted to offer my condolences because you both truly seemed happy, and he seemed like a very nice fellow. He also seemed to have a very good sense of humor--which I think is very important in life and a good relationship--and I also enjoyed his accent. 🙂 On a separate note...I am thinking of trying to start my own UA-cam channel in the next several months, and though I plan on it being very diverse with all sorts of people, I think there are some interesting UA-camrs that, for different reasons, would make good guests. If you think you might be interested, please let me know, and hopefully we can chat soon via the phone or Zoom or Skype just to get to know each other and so I can also tell you my idea for an interview. I'm don't know where you are in Canada, and thus I'm not sure--with me on the East Coast of the US--how far apart we are, but I figured if I can get my channel launched that I'd do most of my interviews remotely (with split screen) anyway. I'd leave my direct contact info, but I obviously don't want everyone else to see it, and since I'm not very technologically inclined, I'm not sure how to get such a message just to you with my contact info. So, I'll just leave this message for you here and hope that you see it just as you did my first general posting a few days ago. I hope that this finds you doing well.
