911 owner here, i like the sound of the flat 4, i really hate the self proclaimed Porsche “purists” who try and talk crap about it.
F4 has been and always will be heritage to Porsche.
I loved the base 718, small mods made it decently quick. I’m in a 992 c2 now.

@@youtubeprofile7 wish I was able to keep both, but 992 at msrp and 718 at the height of pandemic trade in pricing changed my plans. I love my 992 c2, it’s currently pretty modded with m engineering tune, pdk tune, GTS turbos, do88 intercooler, etc..
The F4T gets a lot of hate, but honestly I quite like the sound. Especially on the earlier models with particulate filters. It's deep and throaty, and this exhaust enhances it even more. Nice car.
I'd love for my turbo 4 to sound like this, currently at 400 hp, sounding ok.
Color, exhaust note, wing and those tips are just 100%
Thinking of getting a 718 as my next car this setup definitely nudged me in the right direction. Awesome wheels love them

I never dynoed the car. I think cobb reported somewhere around there.
As an owner of a GT4 and previous 911 owner, in my opinion, the Cayman platform is superior. Your car is beautiful. I just can't understand the need for aftermarket exhausts on the Cayman - and I am not picking on you specifically. My '07 911 needed it. The newer Caymans don't need it - IMHO.

Matt - It appears that you first installed the AWE Track edition exhaust back in 2017 and then added the Soul Performance Catted downpipe here in 2019.
Did the addition of the downpipe meet or surpass your expectations? Was it worth the extra $ and effort. It sounds amazing and seems to have really improved the exhaust note. Did it also increase the volume significantly?
I am thinking of copying you with one slight mod; I will use the AWE Track (ie straight pipe) exhaust on one side and the AWE Touring (ie small muffler) exhaust on the other side to reduce the volume slightly. Do you ever find you setup to be too loud?
Regarding the Techart rear diffusor - did installing that disable the reversing camera? If I install an exhaust system like yours, can I easily install the rear diffusor afterwards or would you recommend installing both at the same time?
Hey Jeffrey!
The downpipes was just the next available performance modification on the market. It made the exhaust deeper, volume wasn't anything more significant than the track exhaust by itself. The great thing about the AWE setup is that you can change as necessary to suit your volume wants. The techart rear piece doesn't disable the rear sensors or camera, everything works as factory and can be installed at anytime.

I'm planning to get a similar set of upgrades for my 718 Boxster, particularly:
Techart front lip - was this easy to install? i.e. a DIY job
Techart rear diffusor - was this easy to install?
TWL Carbon Rear Ducktail Spoiler - I have a GT metallic silver boxster so I'll try going for a silver colour on this wing.
Pushkar Shirali I had a body shop fit and paint the techart bits.
I have a few questions regarding your suspension setup? Does it rub on hard bumps and does it under steer or make the handling worse than stock?
No rubbing, offset of the flow forms wasn’t too aggressive. Handling was great.
Did you get a custom Cobb tune since you have downpipes or are you running a OTS tune?

Did you notice any performance difference after installing the ducktail? Or did you install the diffusor and front lip to help balance it all out
I doubt I go fast enough to notice a difference. I did install the Techart front lip though.

So I suppose installing a downpipe makes quite a bit of difference, especially in terms of volume.
The exhaust itself is like 3k and the downpipe is like 2k and I always wondered why need to spend to extra 2k and now I know. Thanks for the clip.
May I ask why you went with the AWE exhaust and then a SOUL downpipe? Why not SOUL full system
rainzoro I got the AWE Track setup nearly two years ago. Soul just released their downpipe and there wasn’t anyone else with them yet.
do you still have functional valves? Can you still control the volume?
Kian Memarzadeh they make one that you can control the valves, I didn’t have that feature stock.
Are the AWE Track Exhaust are catless straight pipe ?
The track exhaust is after the cats, no mufflers.

duck tail is from TWL Carbon. car was in sport mode, I haven't talked to Cobb about possible tuning for the downpipe yet.
Techart springs gives best confort?? Or there are better springs for most comfort
Romas Pasukonis it was what was available when the car first came out. That said, the springs are super comfortable. If I were to do the suspension upgrade today, I’d probably opt for kw v3.

I’d go dyno if I still had the car.
Yeah it’s pricey upgrade, want to be sure it worth it or go for something like a third intercooler.
@@narshadda im sure you mean radiator, but if you live in a hot environment, the tune and downpipe will give you more power immediately. you can always add the 3rd radiator down the line.

Hi Matt - I love the sound of your car. I would love it if you could make a video of how it sounds whilst driving it.
I have a 2017 718-S with PSE and manual transmission and I want to modify the exhaust note.
I see that Soul Performance now offers both a catted and a decatted downpipe plus various exhaust systems including a straight through 'track edition'. Based on the comments that you made on your video, the exhaust systems had not yet been created which is why you went with AWE.
I am wondering how your car sounds compared to:

This system does not seem to sound as good as yours while revving at idle. Your's sounds much better. Do you agree?

I will say this does sound a bit more refined in person, but I can totally see that. I don’t find it to be a bad thing, however. You can make them sound a little like a V8 with the right setup.
