I will forever be a little bummed that this didn't get included during the underworld saga with an additional verse about Ody lamenting Polites' death and asking his soul to be their guiding light to the prophet.

Like I got it before, but now it hits even harder and I didn't think that was possible 😭 To put on the writer's cap though, I have a feeling Jorge felt enough of Polites's characterization was shown off in Open Arms. Thus this song, while lovely, wasn't necessarily pushing the story forward as much as the others that made the cut. While this song solidifies the closeness of their friendship, it and Open Arms both display Polites's compassionate nature and worldview as well as his status as a symbol of goodwill, healing, and hope.
