- We are cooking two 1" NY strip steaks on our indoor grill. We heated the grill up on high for about 3 minutes. Cooked one side about 4 minutes, flipped the steaks and cooked for 3 minutes. We finished the steaks by cooking with the cover on for about a minute.

Yumm...... Just like cooking it outdoors. If we wanted less smoke, we would have trimmed off the fat.
In Venezuela we use a Girasador (for decades) which is very similar to this product except better 'cause the Girasador has a rotating diffuser ( diffuser is the metal plate full of holes at the bottom of the pot). Gira in spanish means "it turns" and Asador means griller. A rotating diffuser? Yes! the diffuser in a Venezuelan Girasador looks like a turbine or a fan with about 24 small blades and heat makes it turn slowly. The result is a uniformly distributed heat. Minden should learn from this.
Great presentation. I will soon be ordering one.
It's 12/2023, and I still use mine. Yeah, it's smokey, but the flavor it gives the food you grill on it makes it worth it. Works excellent when using it on the high heat level.
How is it with smoke? If I don't have good ventilation in my kitchen, will it smoke up the place?
The smoke from these grills is RIDICULOUS! I researched indoor grills to death and finally purchased this one. I will admit, the taste of food cooked using this grill is excellent. It tastes like a real gas grill. However, the smoke that pours out of this thing, makes the entire grill unusable. I only used it a few times before I sold it on eBay. I would open ALL windows in my house AND use exhaust fans and the entire house would fill with smoke.
I REALLY wish they were smokeless :(
That one is green? Why do they advertise only 3 colors? Red, Blue & Black? I don't get it unless this one is very old or something.
I don't understand. What do you put inside of the pot that makes flames of fire? Charcoal? Can somebody explain me? Thanks!
@chalaca82 Buy a lean cut, not with too much fat otherwise it will smoke. Don't use oil either or it too will smoke up.
I got one for xmas, you can just put it right on the stove and use it. My only complaint is that they didnt use non-stick grills... even with oil, pam, webber grill spray, or olive oil meat sticks to the grill. I'm actually afraid to try and BBQ chicken because of this.
you dont use a fork to turn steaks
my sister has a grill similar to this but it is a cheaper vercion. she bought it in Manzanillo, Colima in Mexico and it only cost 200 pesos which is around$ 20dollars. she asked me if I wanted one ...I said no .... I now regret that.
@jsach15 My Minden grill arrived with a defective cover. Doesn't sit right and a small section of the ceramic layer is chipped just at the rim of the cover. Any suggestions on what to do now? Hate to have to return the whole thing just for the defective cover.
@WagesofSin309 that's what I was wondering. The hood over the stove in our apartment sucks ass. Its one of the one that just cycles the air back out instead of funneling it out of the house.
Thoguh its a great alternative to electric indoor, It seems a bit pricey. It's listed on amazon for $99.99.
How much did you pay it? And is it durable? Easy to clean?!
I wanna know if it really works, seen it on TV nd I'm just curious I'm a college student nd looking for something to use in an apartment; on TV u can just put it on the stove nd use it
Thanks for posting this video. You may have convinced me to purchase one of these! I So much better than electric!
Never mind: I looked at the website, and an extension product will take care of it (as well as lid clearance). Sorry to trouble you.
So the flame actually comes up and touches the meat?
Intriguing product, but if I may ask, is it only suitable for direct grilling?
Man... I got hungry watching this video... :)
What about flareups?
