I love how everyone was surprised about the Princesses being aggressive when they met Vanellope as if multiple of them hadn’t been almost killed their whole lives.
They're not aggressive because they had harsh lives. They're aggressive because Disney f*cking retconned the living sh*t out of the princesses' famous, integral and essential 'true love' concept, and replaced it with the ugly PC-reeking 'girl don't need no man' philosophy. And that's just one of the many problems of this movie. It's ironic that Wreck-it Ralph is my #1 favorite movie of the Disney's modern renaissance.

Rapunzel (2009) showed Rapunzel's vulnerability and dependence on Flynn for so much of the movie, plus she wasn't rude or conceited just because she had magical hair, not to mention her story wasn't about being strong and independent, but about escaping her obsessive 'mother'. As for Merida, it'sbeen so long since I watched that movie so I can't remember the details. But as far as I remember, she likes being independent and doing boyish stuff rather than being a princess married off to someone. To me, that's close to a 'feministic' character, yes, but then the story changed to that of replenishing her relationship with her mother. I don't see it really reeking with 'feminism' though there are smidges of it. Maybe I should rewatch Brave to be sure...

Vanillope quitting Sugar Rush and game hopping to that online game not only completely contradicts the conflict in the first Wreck It Ralph movie; but it will also cause a lot of problems in the real world. For starters, Vanillope is the most popular playable character in her game, if she leaves, people will notice, be upset, and probably quit playing the game in the arcade. The repercussions will be even worse for the online game. When people find out that this Sugar Rush character is roaming around in this game, either the game developers are going to assume that someone hacked the game and delete her, or the company behind Sugar Rush is going to have an issue with their licensed character in another game without their knowledge nor permission, which would probably resort in lawsuits, media backlash, and quite possibly people getting fired. So yeah, not a good ending

You know what, i'm just happy you guys liked the movie. The main thing people have with the movie is that this essentially reversing the plot and now technically saying "Going Turbo is a good thing". Granted, in this scenario there's more consent than how Turbo did things, but that's kind of where people just give up on the movie. But as i have stated in previous reactions to movies with negative reception, it's still good to see you guys enjoying stuff.
The reason why I don't like this movie a lot is that it always seemed like the plot was going somewhere and ended up somewhere else, mostly because of things that don't line up in it My prime example is the whole "getting a bug" part where Ralph states that the videogame that had a bug in it made the motorcycles slow but it just crashed the game, which didn't make sense to me There are other examples like this but this is the one that's the most obvious to point out It didn't make the experience bad it just made me question something while I was trying to enjoy it
I actually don’t have a problem with Vanellope going Turbo as a plot point. Movies can have themes that are different to the original. Imagine if Ralph was trying to stop her not out of his obsession but out of fear that she’s going Turbo and he has to learn that you have to look at each situation individually and it’s okay under the right circumstances and Vanellope has to learn to think more before she makes a big decision like that. But the movie never once comments on this despite her whole arc relating so much to the villain of the last one. There’s so much you could say to make this be something that expands on what the original did but because they don’t do anything with it, it just seems like backtracking

It’s a side thing, but I hate how Disney made a reference to Colleen Ballinger’s character “Amanda Sings” in this movie, but they canned Dana Terrace’s “The Owl House”. I know those two things couldn’t be further removed from each other, but it’s the idea they caved to conservatorship about giving the show with queer representation a full final season, but no one batted an eye to the inclusion of Ballinger with all of the gross stuff she repeatedly said and did in-and-out of character, y’know? It just really irritates me.

If they do a third Wreck-It-Ralph, I would love to see it take the track that Donkey Kong did. Originally he was the bad guy in his game against Mario. Then he got his own games. So, next there should be a new, online, game where they remake Ralph as a good guy, and old Ralph has to deal with there being a version of him that is the good guy, and it isn't him. With all the quick videos he made in this movie, it makes sense that company that owns the IP on him would revive his game.
