If younger Laura could see the last shot of that video, standing beside her new pond with a Hartley in the background, I wonder what she would say. From a fan who's been watching for nearly a decade and has just bought her first house and ordered bulbs before she even ordered a fridge, a huge congratulations. I've loved seeing every step of your journey, well done on all your hard work. What a dream!!! 🌷

Let each child pick a tree. Make a big ceremony when planting "their" tree. Have them name their tree. Every year they will watch over their tree and compare with their sibling's tree. That tree will become so important to them for their entire lives. My grandparents did this for my brother and I. Over 65 years ago and we still visit "our" trees and protect them. Great memories.

I just finished watching the pond construction videos today, the first two yesterday and the last two today. I decided not to watch them at the time of release so I could see them close together. I was reminded when the walkway was finished it was time to see it all. It has all come together beautifully!

Have you thought about creating a hill in the new property? It would add interest to the landscape and allow the kids to sleigh down in the winter. Also, you can make a meadow full of wild flowers there too.

Laura, that pond area is absolutely amazing I can just imagine what it is like to sit out there in the evenings. And this winter it will look so magical with a layer of snow all around it. The new tree area wow so many beautiful trees what a difference it's making already in that area. You all have made so many changes this year. The landscaping is magnificent 😊❤. Thanks for sharing this video loved it as always.
    God's blessings 😊❤

Nice looking paths! Kudos to the team. You and Aaron made a wise choice with the color of that sand for the path.

That was a good call on the sand color. It makes the rocks stand out, but the pond really shines now.

How exciting to be laying a foundation of trees for the future. I was thinking this should be deemed your "Native Garden" area by incorporating trees and shrubs that are native to your area along with the other beautiful specimens. A Garden of Natural seems like it would be the next challenging and interesting evolution to your Eden.

You have inspired me! I found a Deodore Cedar (they actually grow in zone 8?!?! I'll take it!!) at the local garden center yesterday - the LAST ONE! - and grabbed it (poor thing's root-bound like crazy!)!! It's going to replace a beautiful magnolia that's seen better days...time for a change - and a Christmas tree!!🥰🌲

Aaron......just saw a post where the person took the same picture, same time 1 a month for a year........it was neat to see the sun move.......but on your property....WOW to see the bulbs, the TREES, the grass so much.... just thought I would pass that on. Trees all look fantastic. Paul and Bethany are great. Thank you , Laura for explaining about planting the trees higher....I was sitting here asking "why". Nice to have an answer. Have a great day and Thank you all for sharing.
