Disintegrator makes me happy single shot rifles have a really good option again, and an energy one at that. Alien Blaster on the other hand is soooo good for supporting during boss events because of cryo. I agree I love them both.
The alien blaster needs an automatic mod if you realistically want to take advantage of the fire rate. It would be really nice if they put one in. This game needs more automatic pistols. Would be really nice if the crusader pistol could get one top while we're at it. And some aligned mods.
I think both are great because they offer you an option for a category that is historically neglected. What isn't mentioned here is that I think in order to get the mods for the Blaster you need to do the absolutely crazy quest line to unlock its plan so you can scrap them to get the barrel and the scope. This is minor in the long run as its available all year, its just a miserable questline to do.
I'm going to try out the Disintegrator with the HP Receiver, I've got a quad roll on it with a bugged 115 ammo. the problem comes to where a lot of enemies I've come across have such a high energy resistance going full auto is a waste of ammo since AB is pretty expensive to craft even with SuperDuper. Poison is a joke in this game and Cryo only seems to work after you dump a full clip into them, with buggy servers dropping damage it gets especially annoying. It kind of sucks that the Blaster gets the better deal with the ability to fire as fast as you can click your mouse and more modifications that the Disintegrator is sorely lacking. Personally, I'd place my 3 Star Quad-AP-Vats Disintegrator at the same level as the Stock Fixer. It has the ability to be so much more, but it's just so mid.
Still missing two particular mods I believe the automatic receiver for the disintegrator because I didn't make one as well as the the scope for the alien blaster
I think alien blaster is better as bloodied or anti-armor now rather than 2 shot. 2 shot lost all the perks that made it good for AB (aka lost 25% multiplicative damage as well as no longer doubling the cryo explosion damage). It's basically worse accuracy and damage for no reason.
Pistol build actually has as much variation as the heavy weapon build, enclave plasma pistol with flamer barrel is essentially pistol flamer. Then you get revolvers which can do over 1200 DMG with crits, perfect for regular mobs. You get laser pistols which are really good fun maybe not as damage intensive but the two shot ultracite pistol with short barrel and splitter is amazing for crippling legs, this is pistol that acts like a shotgun. Then alien blaster is your machine gun and number one boss fighting weapon after plasma flamer pistol. But even better, you can still benefit from using explosive weapons since you probably already use grenadier and demolition expert. With upcoming perks to boost energy weapons, the plasma and laser pistol will be even better, already very low AP cost makes them hilariously useful in power armour VATS build.
10 MM pistol with a suppressor is equal to Stealth Commando just with a smaller magazine and less range. Reloading after every single kill is all that makes the build worse... well that and stealth perks are in agility with pistol perks because Bethesad are idiots and think agility is useful for using a pistol when you can be clumsy AF and be good with one...
@@JETWTF 10mm pistol can be decent, but its hardly a match for a Bloodied Explosive Fixer, even with the same legendary rolls on the pistol, I do not think I ever gotten a 10mm pistol to do over a thousand damage on crit headshots but the Fixer will pull those numbers happily.
One thing I've noticed about the the alien disintegrator is that projectile ceases to exist after a certain range; I was tryin to snipe a super mutant from the control tower at centrally located airport where it was only 0% to hit because of that and I could observe the projectile blinking out of existence; I could hit the super mutant with a laser rifle. I've been rolling for a quad+faster-fire disintegrator; ~60 times and likely 340+ times more to go.
Back after a 2 month break from 76 and picked up an auto mod from event. Now really enjoy my quad disintergrater. Brought a two shot blaster months ago from a trap vender😂 cost me an arm and a leg. Both are fun but the noise from the rifle is cool. Are they better than other weapons?. All I can say is they break up the burn out from being a day one player.
The blaster is better than all other pistols with the exception of the plasma flamer potentially. The cryo projectiles being treated like the snowballs from the cryolator means that 2 shot is double damage plus the 50% from demo expert. The other option is the crusader pistol with the same setup.
I have an ant tie armor critical damage and a quad, faster fire. It didn't know the quad faster fire. It would be so good as a semi. Can't wait to try it later.
I have a quad FFR auto disintegrator, its meh and chews through ammo... I have an AA FFR rifleman version and its good, two shots kills most things and the reload doesn't bug me that much. I also have a 2 shot alien blaster WITHOUT the demo perk card and i have to say i like that better than both. It might take an extra shot or two but it fires very quickly. My vote is for the alien blaster, which had a guaranteed spawn. Youre not missing out on much with the disintegrator although it can be fun.
Turtle I've been using a two shot cryo alien blaster since you posted your review months ago. It is the only viable pistol build and the 100 speed makes it as fast as you can mash the button and find that I can outdraw nearly everything else. Even tagging mobs in say Radrumble is incredibly effective from trigger speed. Totally recommend the blaster. I rolled a 2 star 50 crit and it's my fave.
I recently made a stealth Disintegrator build and have been having a ball with it. Of course I use a Gauss rifle with AA and Critical damage for bosses but it's a really nice build.
I rolled a quad, faster fire rate 90% reduced weapon rate. With the hardened receiver I love that it retains the 81 ammo capacity! I love the gun myself, it’s the only time since I started playing fallout back in 2008 that I’ve used an energy weapon
Before the nerf I had a 2 shot, fire rate disentagrator and it was good. Unfortunately the vats cost is too high so -25% vats cost is also a must if you want to get the most of this weapon.
Most things are poison resistant to them, or they have simply illuminated the usefulness of things like strangler heart, because most things are poison resistant. The only time that gun would be good with poison is, if you were fighting players who did not have poison resistance, then it would then it would be amazing actually, but they could have poison resistance, but very easily with a legendary perk card, but no Creo resistance that way
I need to make a disintegrator to compliment my plasma flamer. Right now my long range options are a two shot explosive hunting rifle and an instigating explosive dragon. Good, but only for single/small groups of enemies.
Alien Disintegrator has a neat sound, fun for a change, but unless I can roll a Quad FFR I won't use it much. Better option for an energy rifle build is an Enclave Plasma rifle with Aligned sniper barrel. VATS cost is higher but the fire rate and capacity of the Enclave Sniper make it much easier to use, and a bit more dps.
I use a Two shot with vats accuracy and I think its fun to use for my rifleman. I might try and use it for commando and see if theres a big difference. I want to get some better roles on one with reduced vats cost. 😅

Honestly it is simple to answer, they are worth the same amount of scrip so they are equally valuable. There are better non legendary weapons for both the alien weapons roles making the alien weapons scrip material. If you have a non legendary one.. it's not worth the caps or carry weight.
I won’t argue the disintegrator but tell me what weapon is better in the gunslinger class than a two shot blaster? Because mine is easily just as good, if not better in some cases, than my commando build with quad FFR fixer or hand made.

Auto disintegrator will be better than a fixer or elders mark, if you already run exclusively energy weapons and want to run batteries included but not bandolier
If you guys have a cronus zen, you can download fire mods for other games and use them to make the alien blaster way easier to use. I just hold the fire button down and it fires as fast as possible. Save your finger while you can.

would love an informational video for the m79 grenade launcher although most people would go for the auto launcher. i personally really enjoy my two shot crit boost one and find it does solid enough damage and I can manage to keep it at a very high ammo reserve as compared to the auto. i use my auto for events but heavily prefer the m79 for solo activities. great video tho turtle 👍
i also love my m79 launcher. it's vats accuracy unreal, its almost always over 90 percent no matter the range. reload speed is so important, i always run the perk that increases heavy weapon reload spead. what i would love to know is how the 25% increased aiming damage works with it.
My only rolled disintegrater is a AA25ffr15rl and does great. Got a bunch of alien blaster and they are fun to use. My favorite is my TS5015. I would say the alien blaster is better imo.
The blaster hands down... the insane rate of fire is amazing for such a small weapon... the asthetics is also better than the desintegrator... I wish they provided more skins for it and improve it to make it viable. At the moment, I use a TS Desintegrator with High Powered mods with FFR and even then... a TS enclave plasma rifle without the FFR defeats the desintegrator... which is a shame considering that it is an alien weapon and when the alien invaders use it against us... it packs a punch.
Man make me wanna grind for that rifle… I have the alien blaster but never was able to get rifle to drop!. 😮 cuz definitely my most sawed after. Also waited for the cryo nerf.
I've tried to like these weapons, but they just don't stack up in major events or boss fights vs more conventional and newly bamed weapons. Cool for a novelty change of pace, but nothing more than that for me personally
My biggest hang up with the disintegrator is the fact that it’s not tradable. Makes me sick spending all those modules and getting god rolls for builds I don’t use, and I can’t even trade them. At least the alien blaster is still decent with anti armor or bloodied, so you can sell those for a couple thousand caps.
@@geraltgrey-mane695 if you’re on Xbox, I can give you a fully upgraded AB. Sadly the AD isn’t tradable. Bethesda might bring it back next year for Independence Day again, hopefully earlier. However the roadmap we have goes until September, so it’ll definitely be a while.

What do you mean? Are you trying to get the scope for the alien blaster, if yes and if you have the alien blaster plan make a few alien blasters and scrap you will get it that way. Hope that helps if that is what you need

The alien blaster is also a char locked plan. Just like anything else you get in the game worlds . It's atom store that's account bound. Get your facts straight please.

I just finished grinding it out and been doing the event every year, took me like 20+ runs on this current event to finally get it after every single drop in the entire pool including all the mods for the rifle. The rates are nuts and it was definitely not worth the time.

Finally got an automatic receiver plan after like 150+ invaders, feels amazing with AA50c

Disintegrator for every day rifle man use, gauss rifle for sniping, enclave flamer for bosses. All energy weapons, I greatly enjoy.

Cryo is incredibly useful against the Queen. Practicly freezing her in place while everyone unloading on her face gets her down quick.

Bethesda might bring it back next year for Independence Day again, hopefully earlier. However the roadmap we have goes until September, so it’ll definitely be a while.

What do you mean? Are you trying to get the scope for the alien blaster, if yes and if you have the alien blaster plan make a few alien blasters and scrap you will get it that way. Hope that helps if that is what you need
@@crazycrane4608 Thanks I had to type that message fast while I was doing something else and made a mistake. I meant will they ever add a scope to the Alien Disintegrator? I already have an alien blaster with a scope on it, probably does not make much of a difference, but it looks really cool.

Alien blaster for me because I love the gunslinger coolness factor.
It feels cumbersome to use the disintegrator, even with faster fire rate. Found it underwhelming against tankier/boss type enemies.

blaster is the only option. Disintegrator is character locked, so thats a big no.
The alien blaster is also a char locked plan. Just like anything else you get in the game worlds . It's atom store that's account bound. Get your facts straight please.
But yes the alien blaster without a shadow is much better.

No it will be harder to get because you need to roll compared to dupes
@@TortillaChip521 true but that's not the same as having the plans to craft so hate to reign on your parade but that does not count. And there's only one spot I believe you can find which may already been taken .
I am level 664 and I never got the plan 4 that stuped alien rifle blaster 😒 Angry Tortuga please tell Bethesda F76 to increase the plan to drop
I just finished grinding it out and been doing the event every year, took me like 20+ runs on this current event to finally get it after every single drop in the entire pool including all the mods for the rifle. The rates are nuts and it was definitely not worth the time.

I suppose that Bethesda has raised the drop rate...

I've switched to Bloodied. After the nerfs 2 shot was preforming worse in comparison.

High power disintegrator was decent when two shot was not nerfed😭
Angry turtle you should make a break down video of all enclave plasma rifle/pistol mods and legendary effects and see what's best. And then make a video of the alien weapons versus enclave weapons. Keep up the great videos 👍

They need to quit nerfing everything and fix the non filling/stalling Vats meter! Bugthesda really earning that name in the past couple of weeks.
