This has chilling similarities to that one Watch Dogs Legion story line In all seriousness, moving on is the healthiest option, even if its the toughest. Clinging onto something that cant truly be brought back with what we have just delays the inevitable, and talking with an AI designed to adapt to you and appear as someone else just keeps a mental scar open, especially when you know the actual persob is dead. It can even make you rely on that bot for mental stability, which can be dangerous if something makes it impossible to access that bot later on, whether its a powerful solar storm, computer or servers getting bricked maybe even a cyber attack. Its just so much to put on something thats not really alive and fragile as it is I dont know what his wife would think, but if i died and knew someone were simulating me on a computer to cope, i wouldn't like it at all, especially because i never want people to 100% rely on me to stay healthy. They gotta take care of themselves when no one else can

Having fake conversation with someone you’ve lost, as long as you’re aware it’s not 100% real, is a health way to deal with loss and is sometimes encouraged by professionals. However, this story is a little different and I believe he does need professional help. He is obviously still struggling with the trauma even after 8 years. That being said, I don’t like this video and some of the things said in it. This video comes across as ignorant, even though I know there was no ill intent by Optimus, and I’m worried it could negatively affect someone watching this video who is still in the grieving process. I can understand and kinda relate to how this guy is trying to cope with the lose but there are healthier ways to overcome this trauma. Obviously therapy is an option and helps overtime.
