Servant of God, you are not dividing the word of God rightly. You are reading into the text, and stretching the text more, beyond what it says. I wish you'd help your flock see the whole idea by taking them through what the Greek words mean, and consider the historical interpretation of such texts. For example: How did our church fathers in the 2nd, 3rd, 5th centuries interpret such texts. For example again, if the Holy Spirit grants the gifts as He pleases and does so fir the edification of the whole church in 1st Corinthians chapter 12 and chapter 14, why then are you interpreting Mark 16 by generalizing the gift to every believer? That's inconsistent. Why are you not clarifying the text, that in 1 Cor 14, its a sign to unbelievers, and yet still interpret the whole issue of tongues as a regular lifestyle to all believers throughout the ages of the Church? In 1 Cor 14, it is clear that if there's no interpreter, then the one speaking does so in vain, and does not profit anyone in that fellowship. Why then should believers practice use of tongues in public worship and fellowship? I hope you consider this with humility. A brother in the faith.
I'm so happy I can speak in tongues I remember going to Nakuru to pray for things that were disturbing me God gave me tongues..it's a good gift
