I'm considering an ee-5 for my 7-y/o, though we race AMRA enduro series here in AZ. They're 30-minute x-country races typically, though we do run a couple of tracks in the series. How's the battery endurance? I'm concerned it won't last for a full race. My son's currently on an 50SX, though he started on a GasGas e12 electric, with which we were able to just make it through a race, but it got to the point that the GG didn't have the top speed to compete as he got older. We raced a 20 min moto at Lorettas and the battery lasted the entire race but was at the end of its life by the end of the race. I am not sure how the battery would compare to a x-country race but if he isn’t full throttle I think it would last but it may be cutting it close. Good luck!
@@larryriddle505 @Larry Riddle We just received our EE 5 for my 5 year old. @motokid208 has been helping me out a lot with my questions. Before my son uses his EE 5, I bought a used Oset MX 10 which is known to have a long battery. It isn't as fast as a cobra but is faster than a PW50. My son just got cleared to use his Oset in the Tyke 4 to 6 age group up here in Canada as the 50 cc bikes are only allowed in a separate category and we aren't permitted to race in both categories for the season. For the Oset, I believe the battery is larger but also takes much longer to charge from 0. Other dads have told me it lasts 2 to 3 hours and about 1 hour of full power settings maxed racing.
Where are you guys from?? My son is going to try and qualify this year in that same class he is 5 now but rides really good.. he has an uncle who used to be a factory rider that he looks up to and has his mind set he is going to win a title at Lorettas just like his uncle did 😂 I just tell him keep practicing and one day you just might

@@MotoKid208 does he race in mode 6? I think x-country mode 5 would be sufficient. that may make the difference. Thanks for your quick reply!
Yes he races in mode 6, I think if you are in mode 5 it should last the whole race. Liam loved his EE-5 😀

He has a 2021 cobra FWE now!
