I wasn’t religious, at marine corps bootcamp I needed a push. Went to church one Sunday and they played this song. It changed my entire viewpoint on life and religion. This song got me through.

I have been battling with depression for 4 years now, was suicidal, cut. But recently God has broken my chains and set me free from all of that. He speaks to me a lot and writes me letters. He uses my best friend to do so. He told me to look up this song and listen to it. I have never heard of it before, but I obeyed and it is literally everything he has been telling me in the form of a song. I cried so much listening to this and this song has broken me and has really made me feel like God is not just saying he loves us, but that he actually does. I just want to say, to anybody who has a similar story to mine, anybody who is dealing with depression, or anything similar, please don't give up. There is always hope. There is so much God wants to do, to move in your life. Please don't give up. Don't let Satan have that victory. Keep your eyes focused on God, He will move for you. Even if it doesn't seem like He is at that moment, He will if you just be patient and trust Him.

I listened to this song nonstop during my seven long months of treatment at Mercy Ministries in Nashville, Tennessee and it had a huge impact on my return to God. Since my graduation, I've strayed away and I'm scared. But everytime I listen to this song, I get that warm sensation that no matter what I've done, He still loves me, He's still there for me, and he's still holding out his arms for me to come back home. I don't know why the last few lines of this song hit me so hard every single time, even after years of listening to this on and off. It just brings me to ugly tears every time. Maybe I feel as if there's so much left of life that I have left to live, but I know it's going to be hard, and part of me just wants to skip all the trouble and the heartbreak and the difficulty and God will just take me home to heaven to be with Him in eternity, but that's not how life works. God wants us to live our lives to the fullest, not to throw them away to pointless endeavors, to give our lives to Him as a pleasing sacrifice. And what we give to Him, He will use for His glory, and we will one day be called good and faithful servants. That is the one thing I want to hear one day, nothing else. Absolutely nothing else will make me more satisfied. So to anyone who reads this, do not give up. Do not be overwhelmed by the difficulties of life. Listen brothers and sisters! Something is happening within Christ's body, the Church. And I don't mean the building you sit in on a Sunday, I mean the Church, the people. Christ called to us from all walks of life and all backgrounds and it has become apparent to me over the past four months that the Church is waking up. We've been asleep for awhile, in the sense that the Church has grown complacent and accepting of a lot. I don't mean every Christian, but if you were to ask an atheist what they thought of a Christian, it wouldn't be a positive message they give. So I believe it's time. A pastor who's full of the faith and the spirit gave a prophesy saying that we of the millennial generation will awake in our faith and then lead the older generation back to Christ so that they can guide us. The Church has almost become like the pharisees in their hypocrisy, getting caught up in the church. And so, like Christ in the temple, the time has come to flip over the tables of the money lenders, and shatter the image the Church has taken on. Become like a bull in the Church's china shop. Show the world what it really means to be a Christian. It's time to wake up you body of Christ. I'm sick of the state of this world and more importantly the state of the Church. I pray that you will heed these words because the world is in a sorry state and we are supposed to be its light. It's time to stop hiding in the pews and go out into the world. God called us to be forgiving, not accepting. He called us to break down walls and show the world the light we've found.

I'm really struggling with my dad's death. He died when I was five (I'm 14 now) but I recently found out that he committed suicide. It really hit me hard tonight when I went to put the grave blanket on his grave. I was in a dark place and the devil had a hold of my thoughts (I was shivering and crying and I couldn't climb out of it)

i recently went to a retreat for conformatiom and this was one of the songs we sang during addiration. when i sang these words “baby, you’re almost home please don’t quit now” you’re almost home to me ” it just reminded me that He is right there beside me. His undying love is something nothing can compare too and i’m ever so grateful to have been raised in a catholic household and i never not love Him.

I was actually crying a second ago, I listened to this song many times before it spoke different to me now bc I know I have done (sometimes still) terrible even borderline unforgivable things to man, depressed, and I have suicidal thoughts but this song showed me now that God has got me no matter what

I just found this song today. I cannot express how it has spoken to my heart. I’ve lived with hidden trauma for over fifty years. I’m finally becoming free. This will be on repeat for a while.
This made me realize the drifting relationship I had with God, but at the same time I realized His calling to not give up on Him. I felt very down these days that I have left God and He wouldn't accept me again. I feel Him again after a very long time! I really pray that this song becomes a message to everyone out there who are feeling just like me.
I never heard this until now. I was never able to say the words of all i suffered last year. But man this makes me realize Jesus understands our brokeness and He always has the perfrct words to help open and heal our hearts again. This is beautiful. What hendered love will become part of the story 😢
