You were in a public place and, as you know, they absolutely can't stop you filming there. That PCSO demonstrated just how poorly trained they are compared to proper police officers. I don't think going into ranty mode so quickly helped the situation though, Charlie. But at least you and the PC de-escalated the situation and it turned into quite an interesting discussion in the end. Good video.
His should be upholding the law and Human Rights that his swore on when joining the police. His has clearly broke Article 7 Human Rights Act: No punishment without law and Article 10: Freedom of expression.
I did find you to be unjustifiably antagonistic towards the female officer in the beginning. But at 3:13, you became respectful which allowed you to defend your rationale successfully. I agreed with much of your rationale. And I believe that turning the camera on yourself was actually quite brilliant. More so, in assessing the 'likes' and 'dislikes' for your special feature, I'd like to draw attention to the polarizing effect it is having on the viewers and their opinions. What I find most interesting is the tally is nearly 50/50! And THAT, is the hallmark of great artwork. Well done!

An idea for the future: keep a few cheap memory cards with you, and if they need it for evidence, just give them the card, put a new one in, and carry on filming. You can get cheap low capacity cards for like £3 these days

NO they were not. Stupid, they were just flexing their muscles, trying to stop a member of the public from filming, which is a lawful pastime in this instance.
No the police need to be accountable for overstepping their lawful authority and maintaining legal rights to citizens. Whether they like something or not is irrelevant, the police opinion doesn't matter, only the law that they should uphold matters in their interactions with the public..
Hey Charles Veitch this officer was right. PaCE section 19. 3a. Yeah, I agree , that's waste police's time and impact the process of officer.
but why he mentioned North Korea here?
Real Copper did a good job explaining and the plastic copper was doing what she was told. A bit of public relations training wouldn`t go amiss, Madam!
I think there were both plastic pigs even the one trying to talk sensible was still ignorant and arrogant there are no good cops because they won't arrest the bad cops
I cannot ever understand how reflected light rays being captured interfere with a police investigation.
In America they teach you ASK, TELL, MAKE! Basically escalate until comply.
If you ever wanted to know what a knob was, just watch 3 minutes of this video.
I know how the Hell did he get in police force
The male officer was nice
Sorry this is just vile. My parents were involved in an RTA, and there were people filming my Mum being taken out of the car on a stretcher. It might be a "free country" but have some respect and leave families to deal with this kind of thing in their own way. I'm sure this prat would be the first to complain if filming was taking place while his family was suffering some trauma, or rather the aftermath of.
Vile maybe an extream term ....while i appreciate your saddness . But allow me to point out a fact ... a friend filmed an accident scean about an hour after investigati police left the scean ...days latter he noticed something on the video that he presented to the families solicitor and indoing proved a third party was the cause of the incident ...again while filming of the desd injured is wrong it can work both ways
He filmed nothing that would upset anyone, other than a cop. The fact that he had a camera in his hand was their problem. If he had a TV news crew they wouldn't say a word.
Nearly half a million views great video mate, wish you all the best, what a small minded witch. And you switched that round with the male officer very nicely.
Embarrassing some people class this as "Good work". You absolutely went out of your way to make a scene, you tried to come off as superior and overall an absolute upper class ******** of the highest order. Substitute ********** with whatever you feel appropriate.
The photographer did not at all go out of his way to antagonize anybody.
There is a way to deal with this situation. He took the route to agitate and try and make a scene of the situation.
zCmacZzz Good call..Could be his intentions all along for the purpose of the video.
erniemenard he clearly did try to antagonise, he was aggressive in nature with the male cop for no reason.
zCmacZzz How so? the middle of a closed down road, he is camera and most people want the best shot.
Power to the People :D
The copper is probably a Liverpool fan
thank you, Charles x.
He spoke to the other officer who informed him of the law and pointed out he was making a fool of himself so backed down.
Well done Charles,i watched this when you posted it but it's been brought back to life again.kerrching.
I'm not impressed how you sucked up to him at the end.
It’s better than getting arrested.
@@TheJustbristol27 I love when they kidnap and falsely imprison me. Took 150 thousand dollars from the last fucking traitor with a badge that falsely imprisoned me......
@@TheJustbristol27 feck off! he had no reason to arrest him - but saying that he did run off at the mouth which helped the cop get evidence of him being a twat
'You can bring the SAS' i lost it there
PACE s19 3)The constable may seize anything which is on the premises if he has reasonable grounds for believing-
(a)that it is evidence in relation to an offence which he is investigating or any other offence;
He wasn’t “on the premises” as defined by law. And this is AFTER the event.
So... The officer is lying. It’s all they do these days...
its legal to film anything in public.
im more amazed that both sides actually toned it down to a much more civil discussion instead of continuing to create a bigger and bigger scene. i wish it would be more like that in the US...
Charlie, I absolutely agree with your right to film in a public place (I do a lot of it myself) but you HAVE to try to remain calm and not create heightened tension.
He does it on purpose to make a better video with more views
@@RK-rf8rc Probably. But you don't need to create an opportunity for the police to invoke one of their bullshit, vague public order offences.
@@Gryffster oh, I agree with you
You were in a public place and, as you know, they absolutely can't stop you filming there. That PCSO demonstrated just how poorly trained they are compared to proper police officers. I don't think going into ranty mode so quickly helped the situation though, Charlie. But at least you and the PC de-escalated the situation and it turned into quite an interesting discussion in the end. Good video.
3 Bob police woman
1:10 "can I help you" no 😂😂
Charles you are a unique guy. Most people run from trouble. You on the other hand go looking for it.
Nope, he goes starting it
His should be upholding the law and Human Rights that his swore on when joining the police. His has clearly broke Article 7 Human Rights Act: No punishment without law and Article 10: Freedom of expression.
it's funny how things have changed. It's good looking back about how clueless the police were about photography laws.
You can bring the sas 😂😂😂 QUALITY!!!
Good Lord, your police are so polite compared to ours in the US. Meanwhile you kinda engage in silly political polemics.
Police officers are almost politicians these days in the UK
I did find you to be unjustifiably antagonistic towards the female officer in the beginning. But at 3:13, you became respectful which allowed you to defend your rationale successfully. I agreed with much of your rationale. And I believe that turning the camera on yourself was actually quite brilliant. More so, in assessing the 'likes' and 'dislikes' for your special feature, I'd like to draw attention to the polarizing effect it is having on the viewers and their opinions. What I find most interesting is the tally is nearly 50/50! And THAT, is the hallmark of great artwork. Well done!
PCO your opinion over "morality" doesn't have preeminence over people's rights.
Charles: I am part of the press.
Cop: Have you got nothing better to do?
All I can do is facepalm
Wasn't Chris a nice guy? Shame Charlie didn't get to give him a hug!
"Chris" was over excited and desperately trying to force forth that he had the upper hand, he has clearly been trained to ALWAYS be the one in control.
''You're here just to cause trouble. It's quite sad actually''. Says it all..
OMFG< are you the voice actor for Brian Griffin?
I actually get so awkwardly British when watching these encounters/confrontations I have to pause it and cringe a bit.
"Freest countries in the world"? It may well be, but they are trying to curtail those freedoms. It's down to activists like this who push back against them and for that we should be eternally thankful.
If England is "The Most Free Country In The World" im the bloody P.M ...
This is why Charlie’s videos need to exist. I thought this video was looked good for both Charlie and the police.
They are up there as being the top worst representations of the Police
"You can bring the SAS" lmfao!
Charlie you are incredibly patient. The cops are so full of crap.
He threatens you with s19 of PACE. I would try quoting s14 of PACE to see what he says to that.
Looking back at this interaction six years back and the comments that were made by the officer that 'we are the most free country on this planet', how things have changed with speech laws.
Bottle crashed after he was threatened with arrest. Went from righteous indignation to pitiful crawling in 2 mins. Lol
An idea for the future: keep a few cheap memory cards with you, and if they need it for evidence, just give them the card, put a new one in, and carry on filming. You can get cheap low capacity cards for like £3 these days
Charles,
You don't seem to be making many friends.
I would suggest seeing your GP in the first instance.
Psychotherapy under hypnosis can be very effective.
Your public advertising on a social media site showing how much police time and public money you waste is rather disturbing.
Hypnosis my uncover your underlying problem.
CJ
CJ, why don't I utterly ignore your advice and tell you to stick your passive aggressive thoughts up your proverbial arse. Get attention by making your own videos, not trying and failing to be a smart-arse on mine, bitch
Charles Veitch What a child.
"The most free country in the world" Wasn't true then and a million miles away from that now.
Right! All I was thinking was "compared to what?"
Just like a trotter with it's blinders on.
It's pointless talking to a programmed robot
The police officer is right.

Morally yes but law wise no.
NO they were not. Stupid, they were just flexing their muscles, trying to stop a member of the public from filming, which is a lawful pastime in this instance.
Law wise no. ACPO guidelines states s.19 pace cannot he used for this circumstance.
You "don't film things on an amateur basis for the internet", you are a troublemaker, pure and simple.
No the police need to be accountable for overstepping their lawful authority and maintaining legal rights to citizens. Whether they like something or not is irrelevant, the police opinion doesn't matter, only the law that they should uphold matters in their interactions with the public..
Hey Charles Veitch this officer was right. PaCE section 19. 3a. 'The constable may seize anything which is on the premises if he has reasonable grounds for believing-that it is evidence in relation to an offence which he is investigating or any other offence'
So yes, he could do it, and your shocked little time where you stumbled clearly says that YOU KNEW nothing about that Act and he had outsmarted you. Shame you probably won't read this, and if you will, you will not admit that you're wrong.
Mattios oops forgot to link it www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/1984/60/section/19
