The first pink hair girl was just a girl with pink hair that jinx thought was Vi, that's why she got a little break down in that scene. And yes she has shown signs of mental health issues since she was young and now it seems to have gone worse after all that happened.
Rewatch the section at the beginning with "VI" - I think you'll notice what happened with her face that caused the confusion, and gives some more insight into Jinx's metal state. I think VI beat up the inmate because he was one of the guys on the bridge last episode when everything went to crap. Thank you for a nice distraction Jenny

If you missed it, Heimerdinger is a portmanteau of Heisenberg + Schrodinger, a little nod to their work in quantum mechanics. Might help you remember it.
Many of the animal looking people are Vastaya, they are the decedents of people that merged with animal spirits from the spirit realm. I'll say more in the Discord
Silco doesn't take shimmer through his eye. He was lancing his eye before shimmer came about (you can see him carrying the lancing device in the first episode). Silco lances his eye regularly, presumably to treat the damage it suffered from the river toxins when Vander drowned him.
When Silco uses the eye device in episode 1, he is in the same room as Singed and a whole lab setup for testing the early version of the addictive temporary monster variant of shimmer. It is entirely possible that, if the device is an injector (which I lean toward, based on the shimmer purple of the drip on Silco’s eye), the eye treatment variant of shimmer came before the other variants, and was maybe even how Silco met Singed.

I think Jinx might be past therapy and in need of serious meds.
Meds are useless without therapy.
