How to make Monte Cristo Sandwich
Ingredients needed: (for making 2 sandwiches)
Bread - 6 slices
Mayonnaise - 8 tsp (preferably homemade)
Cheese slice - 8 slices
Ham slice - 6 slices
Eggs - 2
Milk - 1 tbsp
Butter - 2 tbsp
Method:
Cut all the brown sides of bread. Take first bread and spread 1 tsp mayonnaise on it. Place a slice of cheese over it. Above that 2 ham slices. Again a slice of cheese over it. Take another bread and spread mayonnaise both of the sides. Again repeat the process, a cheese slice, 2 hams, then cheese, then cover with the third bread with mayonnaise inside.
Make one more sandwich with that and then we are gonna toast them. For toasting, in a bowl take 2 eggs, add 1 tbsp milk then whisk well. For toasting I am using salted butter, if you are using unsalted butter you should add a pinch of salt to egg mix. ( I am skipping that ) Dip the sandwich to the egg mix carefully, dip all sides. Toast it on a pan in low flame by adding 1 tbsp butter. Toast the sides also very carefully till it becomes golden brown in colour.
