hi, is it possible to get libre 3 to india
This gives me a glimpse into the year 2033 when this gets released in Australia
Haha. Hope it doesn't take this long!
2033? Tell ‘em they’re dreaming. I can’t imagine we’ll ever get to see this here 😉
We barely got Libre 1 in Croatia a year or two ago 🤣 after putting pressure on the common health insurance.
@@ina7084 that is crazy they should do world wide releases of this stuff. This rubbish about being approved by country regulators is rubbish, it’s a damn glucose sensor to read sugar not a medicine. It should be the latest for everyone not just specific countries. I am sorry you have to go through this. We have the Libre 2 in Australia now after a long wait. So I think we are 4 to 5 years away from Libre 3
@@TypeOneTalks bro I want to talk you personally about diabetes
The best ecological impact would be if they extended life of sensor to 30 days...
It is pretty hard to produce something that has to be so reliable over such a long duration.
Buying new technology such as new smartphones every two years at the same time as using these still uses more resources. Support right to repair :)
What the challenge? The battery or the actual part that senses your glucose
@@kevinperry8837 Probably none of the above. Profit will most likely be the reason not to extend sensor life
They would lose money doing that. Dumba##.
The not having to scan sounds great. My Clinician was sort of negative at the amount I was scanning. Why wouldn't I scan all the time? But all this tech has changed everything and I'm grateful for it. Decades of being lost and feeling I can't control this and wasn't. Now I'm bossing it.
exciting!!!
considering the extra functionality given with Libre 3 without added cost, especially compared to dexcom, i’ll happily spring for cost of the alcohol wipe. Can’t wait for it to be available here in Canada!!
Thanks Tom, your help to diabetics is significant, good on you. Waiting for Freestyle Libre 3 sensor to be released in Australia.
Thank you so much!
We should get it in Australia in 2033

@@TypeOneTalks hi tq very much
Lucky you! A game changer indeed! Less scanning amazing! Right now only FREESTYLE LIBRE2 is soon to be readily available in Canada yet covered for only private insured so enjoying my original LIFESTYLE LIBRE for now and sure the 2 and 3 will be readily available eventually for all T1D in Canada👍
I've heard that they don't include the wipes because of some strange rules in the EU. And one WARNING for all who will use their own disinfectant: don't use the regular one from the pharmacy. Most of them have oils in it to protect the skin from drying out. But oil will destroy the glue in the sensor and it will fall off after a few hours. You need to buy pure propanol without any additional ingredients.
Good point. I was not aware of the EU regulation. Thank you for sharing. You are correct. The US likes to regulate everything:)
@@TypeOneTalks I live in the US and I have the libre one and it comes with two alcohol wipes.
@@Christensen1970 Thank you for sharing!
@@TypeOneTalks thank you, i've learned so much.
This really looks like a sweet piece of gear. Love the minute by minute read. The size looks great too. With it’s closed loop application with tandem t slim this is a real winner
Thank you for sharing Charles!
And you Tom. I'm really enjoying the comments, opinions and I'm taking from everyone's imput on the channel. Helpful and informative so keep putting your stuff out there. And thanks to everyone who contributes.
I live in the United States and just started using my FSL2 . Looks like I've got a long time before I can get my hands on the FSL3.
Trust me they don’t have the 2 or it’s app working well yet forget the 3
Same with me, I live in Canada.
It doesn’t even show you the graph on the Apple Watch. WTF that’s bullshit dude . That’s the main reason Im waiting for the FSL3
Hopefully the Libre 3 and app are minor enough changes that approval and data from Europe will accelerate the process?
I use surgical spirit to clean my arm before applying the sensor
Great news ! Can’t wait to try it
I wish it was in the USA because the 5 min wait times when your low on a dexcom really sucks, I really want Dexcom G7 to launch and i really hope they do a minute by minute. it would make life easier
Looking forward to an update/ follow up video on how the 1-2weeks after wearing the FSL3 went for you.
Hi Erika. Thank you. It is coming soon!
What an improvement Tom. Shame about android users having to wait. But hopefully it will be worth the wait. Great vlog as usual.
Thank you so much Kevin. Great to hear from you!
Thank you for these videos. They are really helpful.
You're very welcome!
Excellent review Tom. I like the way you include all the pros and cons to a product. I have the freestyle 2, will I need to get a new prescription for the freestyle Libre 3? BTW, I agree with you about the alcohol wipes; they're being so picky and cheap. Think, how much money are they saving themselves by not having to send us a Libre2 reader/glucometer---Millions! Thanks so much for your help and God Bless You. Fr. Lenny
Great video, looking forward to using the libre3 when it becomes available in the UK 🇬🇧.
Fully agree about the alcohol wipes.
Thank you my friend!
Great video. Big advantage for those who live here in Germany is that sensor cost is covered by most of health insurance companies. We pay only 30 Euros for package that contains 7 Sensors.
I can not wait to try LFS 3 next year. I have Android Phone and App for Android is still not ready.
Thank you for sharing my friend! Much appreciated.
The Libre 2 was recently approved in the U.S. and we're still waiting for the Android app to be approved. I don't think we'll see the Libre 3 approved anytime soon in the U.S. Thanks to your video I know what I can look forward to.
You are most welcome my friend!
I would switch from DG6 to FL3 in a heartbeat but I’m U.K. and only now is FL2 is available which I won’t switch for. U.K. is eons behind unfortunately but unless Dexcom come up with something really special with the DG7 I will definitely try the FL3 when it is released here. Excellent vid as always… thanks Tom!
Thank you so much! Let's hope Abbott will hurry up with the Libre 3 in the UK:)
Thank you Tom for this vid.We can expect to receive this Freestyle 3 in Canada in.... 2 years.
You are most welcome my friend!
I can't wait for Libre 3 in the USA. I love seeing what's coming!
Me too!
I just would like to say that, in Brazil, we are still at the 1st version.
Can’t wait for it to be available here in HK!!

Any way to set targets BG alerts like Tomato app; A low alert above 5.5 mmol/l? During sport it is nice to have a lower than 7.0 mmol/l alert.
i use FL3 since 9/2021 and over all i love it. Please note that when you sleep on the side where the sensor is it could happen false alarm low bloodsugar. it happened to me 2 times in the night. gladly i double checked with my teststripes. 53 Alarm from FL3 was 120 on Teststripes. Other problem actually i can not start a new sensor. I tried 4 different pieces and after initial scanning it turned back and wanted to scan a new one. i reprted this to Abbott and they send me 4 new ones. Before it worked flawless.
That is exciting news and I look forward to your full review! I've been using Dexcom CGMs for 10 years now and it has been a real leap forward in my Diabetic care but surprisingly but there has only been minor changes from the G4 to G6 in those years. Meanwhile the competition has caught up and could even surpass them. The G7 sounds like it could be their first big improvement since the original G4 but there are rumors it won't have a 14 day sensor life and no direct to iWatch feature at the release to match the Libre 3. This to me is a show stopper and they could loose out big to the Libre 3. However the real CGM killer device to watch is the strong rumor of a iWatch with a built-in non-evasive optical blood glucose sensor, which sounds like it could be available next year?!
Hopefully we will see this at some point!
Hi Mike. Could I ask if you know if you heard if this would be from Apple when you say iwatch or from a different company
@@brothatwasepic Apple they make the iWatch. Google is also rumored to be looking into it for a future Galaxy watch.
Thanks Tom, great to see it, so much smaller! It is a problem for those that don't have a good mobile though. My charge runs down so fast.
Thanks Tom,for all the great information. 10/11/21 and just got introduced to libre 2. Had to buy scanner because there is no app in USA for the libre 2.I was loving the alarms but i noticed it kept telling me im low and the scanner was wat off (66 on scanner and 226 on finger prix next one scanner). Any suggestions how to fix?
Nice video and really nice to see the size compared to Libre 1/2.
In your review I’d really like to know how the alarns function. Do I get alarns every minute untill the glucose levels rise above the limit you set in the app or only once.
Did I hear you correctly that you can’t get your Libre readings on the Apple Watch? Only alarms?
You get the alarms every minute until you open the app and view the graph. You have the option to set a time (let's say 30/60/90 minutes) to get another alarm if you don't get back in range in the meantime.
Hello Tom
Thanks for the great review and thorough details you provided. Where can I find this online? It’s not in Amazon or other online shopping platform
My issue with Libre product is I've always had issues with the glue on the sensors... at least 50% of censors only stick on my skin for a week, instead of staying there for two weeks. I can't use extra skin glue or those extra bandaids/bandages that wrap around the sensor. I get skin rash from those. I do make sure to clean the skin, use an alcohol swab, let it dry, etc. I also do not use skin moisturizers. I spoke to my diabetic instructor and they do not understand why it does that.
I am now doing a trial for Dexcom 6. I like it so far because of the continuous reading... my only issue is the options for alarms... the sounds are quite loud and not many options for configuration... so I always feel like I am going to have a heart attack at night when it wakes me in the middle of the night for a low or a high reading.
it might me your skin type , for me it works so well that after the 14 days i have to use warm water or its litterally imposible to remove the sensor
Thank you for sharing your experience my friend! Much appreciated!
We only just got the Libre 2 in Australia!
It will be years before we get the 3 😅
Great video, very interesting. We haven't had any alcohol wipes since using Libre 2, is that same for everyone?
I don’t know. I get four wipes per order of two sensors and skin grips.
lol, the Libre 2 Just hit shops this week in Australia.
@typeone how long you have to put that device on the arm? I mean when should I change it? And what about the niddle?
What is the durability of the libre 3 with water.
The biggest problem with me was sweat. When I was working in hot climates.
I am glad it is very low profile as I have had many times the G7 got knocked off while working.
Damn, I just learned about the 2, a month ago, and received the first one this past week and now there's a 3 on the market?! haha
This is going to give me even more control now - every minute - amazing.
Be careful..as it can drive you crazy too..lol.

Hi
Thank you so much
I would ask you from where can I get libre 3??
Hello, in libra freestyle 3 app have GMI, is it equivalent to HbA1c?
We still do not have approval for the Libre 2. It’s been here for at least a year in Ontario, but I was informed by the pharmacist there hasn’t been a clearance for the two and probably won’t be. Unbelievable!
That is weird. I thought it was already available in the US and Canada. But I might be wrong.. Good luck my friend!
Libre 2 just became available in alberta so should be really soon
Hi Tom, great to see the Libre 3 video. I am down to just one question at this point. I had more, and thankfully you answered them. So, how far can I get from the cell phone and still have the app and sensor integrate? On the Libre 2, the limit was 20 feet, which I do not feel is far enough. So I have to carry my Libre 2 reader almost everywhere I go. Fortunately, the reader holds 8 hours of data for the 2, and I can scan later and get all the data. I really like the control this will give. Thank you for everything.
It was extended to 10 meters! Please check my latest video where I discuss this!
how does the sensor bridge through your skin? why doesn't it heal up or become infected?
Exciting!
I live in the USA I don’t have any insurance and would like to try this product but it’s so hard to get my hands on the product. I will call them back again on Monday. Their website say they are open 7 days a week from 8am-8pm but on their voicemail it only open from Monday through Friday. I called them yesterday on Saturday..
I applied for the free trial and was denied. I didn’t mind paying for this item but I didn’t get the opportunity.
Also one of their questions is how did you hear from us UA-cam is not an option I would have love to even put other and an option to type your name.
Thanks for your review they are awesome😊
Don’t trust anything Abbott tells you
All you need is a prescription from your doctor for the version of Libre you want to use (US 14-day or US Libre 2). You can then purchase it at your pharmacy of choice. I had to do this very thing because my insurance wouldn't cover any of the cost.
For the US 14-day, you can use either the dedicated reader to scan the sensor, your phone (with the correct version of the Libre app), or both (some people benefit from being able to use both).
If you choose the US Libre 2, the phone app is an option *only* if you have an iPhone. If you have an Android phone, then your only option for now is the Libre 2 dedicated reader. If you ask for a prescription for the Libre 2 sensor, *and* you have an Android phone, make certain that your doctor writes a prescription for the *Libre 2* reader. The LIbre 14-day reader and the Libre 2 reader ARE NOT interchangeable.
@@threegirldad at this point because it doesn’t appear that Abbott has the proper people or willingness to keep up with the phone apps, that you will need to buy their reader. Their reader doesn’t allow you to do anywhere near as much as the app. Apple iOS was updated last week and that killed my ability to use the sensor and I had to throw it out because you can’t use the phone app and reader on the same sensor. That was $65 I had to put in the garbage. So you see how little they care. Plus the fact that iOS 15 will be released very soon and it doesn’t appear that Abbott will be ready for that either. In my opinion at this time your crazy to buy this product
@@stoshkaras9779 I bought a new phone right before i started using libre, and made sure not to get an iphone becuase i know they suck for the abbott software. android is better for this app.

@@TypeOneTalks thanks. It's really good so far. Definitely reduced some major anxiety I had about random lows
Thanks for this great video. I am in the UK, using L2, and really looking forward to the L3 - so much smaller!! I have tried a G6 but they are just too big for me. I would love it to show levels on an Apple Watch and have been holding off buying one until the App can do this. Although it is great that it can show the alarms on the watch, it would be so much better if it could show current levels like the phone app. Do you think this will be possible in the future, or are there any 'bridge' apps that could make it work fully on an Apple watch.
It should be possible with Dexcom G7 when launched. With Libre 3 currently not possible.
LOL just watching that video when here in Australia we just only received our first Libre's 2. Oh well, maybe in 2 years...
Where can I buy? I want to try the Libre 3 but they are not available in my country. I do have an office in Spain. They can re route it to me if I can somehow get it in europe. I also need to sign up for a new Apple ID and claim I am in europe.
from what iphone does it work, 7, or SE 2020 or newer iphones?
So excited to see no more scanning! Think it might cause problems with people who get obsessed with watching it. As like in your video watching it go up might make people worry and make rash decisions on taking insulin. Hope Canada gets it soon. So small too.
Great improvement on the libre 3.
How long does the adhesive hold? Does it need to be changed over time?
If yes, how much does the adhesive tape cost?
Or do we have to change the entire sensor from time to time? How often?
I read that it shuts off automatically after 14 days. Do I have to buy a new sensor every 14 days?
Thank you dear I just want to ask you about
Can you please talk about the researchers and the cure as well ?
How can I get the figures on my samsung smart watch 4?
how do we get these in Canada?

Hi how can I get it in the uk?
I have always being between 3 and 10 higher then blood glucose. Since I started OMAD my caboose is ahead of my engine.
Hiiii! Great to hear you got the libre 3! Can you please help with some info about libre 3 and iwatch? My kid has Down syndrome and it s difficult for him to remember to carry his phone with him always. Does iwatch connect directly to the sensor(without the need to have the phone nearby)? And send the info to librelinkup? Thank you so much for your videos! And with what apple watches is the app compatible?
Hi! The Apple watch does not connect directly to the sensor. There is still a need to have the phone close by. I use Apple Watch 4 and this is compatible as well as any newer version. But to use the watch and LubreLinkUp he needs to have the phone on him... Hope this helps. Wishing you and you son all the best!
Can you calibrate on Libre 3? I am also very interested weather you have compared the data from G6 and Libre3. Which one of them is the more accurate in the long run?
Libre 3 doesnt need calibration
Hi, I’m in the Usa is this available? I’m confused with the models freestyle has. I’d like to monitor with my cell only. Do I need the 1,2 or 3?
Only Libre 1 and 2 is available in the US right now. Good luck!
does is have the feature to follow someone? so you can monitor his glucose level remotely?
Yes. You can use the LibreLinkUp app to follow others. I will cover that in more detail in my upcoming FreeStyle Libre 3 review video. Stay tuned!
I use dexcom g6 I wonder how this will compare to g7 with cost and I wonder if g7 will be as fast to warmup

so after just 10 months I now find out that I can throw my Libre 2 reader in the trash bin soon, because the Libre 3 sensors are not backward compatible with the older Libre 2 reader and the Libre 2 sensors are being discontinued. (I could do without the new functions) Providing a firmware update might also have helped, but Abbott is a very environmentally and customer unfriendly company. Just seeking profits, no matter what the costs to their customers or the planet. What a waste of money and resources by Abbott, in an age when everyone is talking about more sustainability and striving to lower CO2 emissions, they intentionally produce a waste product.
@@uteh.3659 Got good news for ya.
the Libre 3 will not need a reader. It simply work with your cell phones Bluetooth.
if you’re curious what your blood sugar is simply look at your phone it will update every 60 seconds with a new blood sugar reading. it will be extremely small and will also have customizable alarms.
@@Hartmaniac Thanks for your answer. That is great, but doesn't solve my issue with the way Abbott handles their hardware updates and compatibility. I bought the Libre 2 reader because my phone has a weak NFC antenna and it was very unreliable and time consuming to do a reading. I am annoyed though that Abbott was still selling the readers at a time, when they already knew that they would become obsolete within months and did not inform me about it before I purchased. They refuse to take the reader back, so all I can do is throw it in the trash once there are no more Libre 2 sensors available, because Abbott won't plan for compatibility across sensor versions.

Wow! That's exciting!
Hi Tom I usually put skin tac on my sensor. Is the libre 3 to small to do that ???
I think you can use it too. Shouldn't be a problem. But you will need less liquid because it is really SMALL!
are there any watches that can receive directly the readings without the phone ?
Not right now. I discuss that in my latest video.
My libre 2 never included alcohol wipes in the boxes, is this normal?
Please check my latest video. I answered your Q:)
Nobody in Abbott labs Canada call center or the medical benefits companies seem to even know about the Libre3 for some reason?
We need it at Greece!!!
Abbot really needs to work on releasing the Apple app and the Android app at the same time. Can't stand their favoritism towards Apple.
As a software engineer it is not favouritism, for apple they have to make an app and test it for 1 phone, for Android it has to be done in atleast 10 device's, if not 100s and 3 CPU, minimum hence the time delay
@@AI_mod Or they can release it as open-source, allowing the community to make the application even better. But this is not the style of large corporations. They prefer regionally blocked applications.
