Thanks for providing an excellent example. I'm really glad you're posting these videos. I was able to get that Audi that I had to do today done in about 20 minutes. Only thing I would add to the video is you need to be quick when you're plugging back into bcm2 and telling the autel to do what it needs to do.

Hi I have a question. Needed to have an all keys lost replacement key . 2005 A4 1.8 Cabriolet unfortunately the key was lost while the car was being repaired. Now car won't start and the locksmith says that the transponder key that he made has been been programmed correctly and that the car doesn't start for another reason. Is there a way to check the immobilizer module? Is there a way to verify that the keys have been made correctly? The car crank over if the key is made in correctly? I'm lost
Hi curtis. I've only done one of these. After unplugging the bcm and reconnecting it I corrupted the bcm and it cost a fortune to repair. Very scared to do another
HI Jason. Dont be scared. Try to learn from the situation. Maybe look at the OEM information and read the removal procedures of the BCM. I feel if you follow there instructions it should minimize risk. Thats just my opinion
@@mandybaker8544 autel was kicked out of the calculation servers for audi. The programming procedure requires you to disconnect the bcm2 at the back of the quarter panels while it's still running. However since there is no succesful connection it tends to brick the bcm2. Generating the synchro file can be done still by benching but it's no longer cost and time effective. The effect on the bcm2 are similar to forcing a volkswagen cluster into boot mode but never bringing it back. Though I've heard you can restore a bricked audi bcm2 with ODIS but you need nastf certification which requires a $500,000 insurance just for starters. Basically stay away from audi and look closely upon advancements by Xhorse tools, they've began making an adapter to potentially read the bcm2 directly.

I had a Nissan gtr that would continuously fail communication. Put smart pro on it. Was done in seconds. I think the tool just struggles to speak with some softwares. Future updates should fix these issues slowly. But it does suck

Ok, why are we not getting updates for newer audi and mercedes, I can't program a key for Audi A3 pass 2013 others pass 2017 that's like 10 years behind and still can't do A3,S3,RS3. Are we being left out? And mercedes same thing so to do honda 2013 and newer I can use a $300 dollar programmer that covers a lot of domestic cars, so over $4000 for the im608 just to do up to 2013, 2014 audi and mercedes don't justify the price and yearly subscription. What's your thoughts. And yes I know there are a lot of other features the Im608 has but for a daily locksmith does it justify the cost would be my question? Or should we just buy a $300 and do domestic for $20 bucks and make a killing, plus put everyone else's business out.
HI Jorge, the trend that I am seeing with these manufactures is that they are slowly implementing there immo systems so that aftermarket professionals cant work on these vehicles . ( Especially the new makes and models) They want to be able to do all the repairs themselves. For VW/AUDI i know they prohibited any aftermarket tools to gain access to their servers. There is nothing that Autel can do at the moment. This goes also with Mercedes benz. The 2 strategies that I do for my clients to give the certainty when doing a key procedure is give me the VIN so I can validate it with my engineer. Once the procedure is validated then Ill give the "Ok" to my client and log in his device when hes doing the key registration . This way if something does go wrong that we dont understand , I can submit the data logging to get my engineers feedback . This will give a conclusion as to what the problem is. The second strategy that I encourage my clients is to diversify their skillset by using all the features on the IM608. There are many perceived high value problems you can solve on the bench with you xp400. Virginizing Benz ECU or TCM modues etc. Or flash programming with your jvci. So in my opinion if your not using all the features of the IM608 then I would recommend the IM508 or the 300 USD tool. If you are diversifying our skillset then it would be worth it as you will be solving problems that would help pay off your till in 6 months or less.

@Abood Hamood the lonsdor is one of the programmers that can program their own key to some newer toyotas,but you need to use their key and equipment there is a video out there that shows how to do it. When doing newer toyotas and the autel gives you 3 lines of data you can not add a key to that car with autel ( at least not for now ) Look for lonsdor and their subscription to do toyota if you really want to add keys to some 2019 and newer toyota. ( it's only like 5 model cars that use that system; if I'm not mistaken), is it worth the investment? Not for me, but maybe for someone that does a lot of toyota key programming. Good luck.

Car is a8 D4 the headlights never worked since the guy bought the car, steering was heavy and wasn’t working and a few other things so I ordered from eBay a second hand bcm 2.0 with the exact same part number. I then coded it with vcds and everything was worming perfectly apart from having component protection so the dash was very dim but it started and ran fine. I then used a clone fvdi and it got the the point where it said turn power off on the module so I disconnected and reconnected it and then all dead. Jo communication and now nothing works I can’t even turn dash on or lock car or open the boot. My friend let my borrow his autel I think it’s im400 but I can’t see anything that could help as I need to bench this now. I did try the old bcm but again nothing at all. Thanks please let me know and once I have everything I need I will book with you.

Hey Curt. I'm trying this process on a 2014 A4 and once I power the BCM back up its telling me that entering into programming mode failed.. Any info that might help ? Autel tech support says the 2013 and 2014 must be done on the bench, but unless my eyes deceived me I watched you do it 🙃
Some of them just will be encrypted. They could of also been updated and encrypted at the dealer when they went in for service. I've seen a 2012 that was encrypted.
Hey Chris, This is difficult to assess with out logging in. What you should do is contact Autel New York and force them to log in your device to see what the issue is and send a data logging to the engineers. If they dont do this then you wont know whats the core issue.

Even then it’s really risky. He’s taking it to the dealer to have a key made. My question now is if he has a dealer key see we able to add a key? You can not do vw or audi at all do to selling the IM series to anyone. They kicked autel out of the server for good. This is a lie. Love the programmer but do to any thefts are able to buy anywhere on the web. Do us a solid discount on yearly subscription.

after you read the immo data can you then save it to load to replacement bsi?

Jason there is no such thing as doing the old bcm2 process anymore with autel. I haven't tried the bench method though

Hazards on, then open door. You must hit twice start button to turn off ignition. And i think you must do learn key, not add key.

I read bcm2 data from a 2016 Audi S7 but only remote programmed after making the dealer key and key learning. No ignition or engine start. Any tips?
Check your key, maybe the wrong key type or a bad key.

No. Most of my clients who own the IM608 are not locksmiths and they are still able to get results.

be read by obd ,only bench
