I quite like the Black Shimanto as well, it may not have the best torpedo angles, but those 360 degree turrets are quite useful to keep up the fire rate and having one tube less per salvo is compared to the Takao is offset at twice per match by the reload skill. I’m tempted to grind the tech tree line as a second cruiser line grind (doing the Nevsky line atm) after playing the ship as well. It’s a shame the special camo on the premium pass is not as good as the historical camo - I mean, the extra torpedo range can come in handy on occasion and that black on gold colour scheme looks great, but I’d rather take the concealment boost any time.
Yeah I hesitated as well - but if you think about it it's pretty normal a shiny golden ship would not have the same concealment ;) I bought it for the epic commander as well.
@deathfromabove432 buddy m bb dd mains so i dont really know how to play cruiser earlier but now i can due to your videos i am at amalfi in that line so yah i should give it a try to b shimanto 😊

Fair enough. Review with regards to ranked battles, I understand a different story for Tier10 battles. There are good tech tree light cruisers for tier9 ranked but that can't be said for heavy cruisers, so maybe Anchorage is the competitive heavy cruiser for ranked.

I generally take blitz passes, it's good value for money - usually it pays itself with the gold from the pass/crates, so the ship is a bonus :)

@Evilship994 start with the russians. It’s the best option for cruisers. Japanese are a bit tricky 😉
