The scene with Miranda and Bianca was so beautiful! I'm SO glad AMC is tackling this issue head on. There is very little in the media about LGBT families specifically, versus just LGBT couples. Very proud of you, AMC. And I can't wait for Bianca and Marissa to get together. They just have to. It's written right there!
It's scenes like that last one with Binks and Miranda that remind me of why I love All My Children and soap operas in general. Well done to CBL who brings the emotion so effortlessly. I will certainly miss Bianca Montgomery. This is yet another reason why All My Children DESERVES to stay on the air.
aw poor Bianca. The look on her face when that lady asked her how Miranda was conceived. You could definitely tell she didnt want to go there. I just wanted to give her a hug and tell her it'd be okay. I love the scene in the park though. That was sweet and touching. Bianca is an awesome mom and anyone who doesnt see that is stupid.
@transitorioxxx It's a PTA is a Parent-Teacher Association. A lot of schools have these groups where parents can get involved in what's going on at the school and they will bring concerns to the school. They may fundraise to help hold events at the school too.
@transitorioxxx It means Parent Teacher Association, which is a group of parents that get together every so often to discuss things about school activities and sometime hold fundraisers, such as bake sales. It was a weak excuse of a come back. And I think that some people call it P.T.O Parent Teacher Organization.
The park scene was nice. I really honestly hate having kids on soaps as it's always a little awkward and I don't think storylines centered around kids are interesting. I guess partly because I am in my early 20s, gay and not really interested in having children. But that park scene was so sweet. I like knowing that reached a daytime audience of mothers. Bianca seems like an incredible mom, even if I wonder who the hell is watching her kids half the time, lol.
'How did you have that kid?'' Really good way to start a conversation and form a dialog. Bianca had MIRANDA out of one ofthe worst experiences any woman can endure and they are entitled to the same sort of dignity, respect, and courtesies you would have BIANCA and MIRANDA extend to you and your daughter, without the fear or shame of being different. Miranda is not 'That Kid' or any other name except for Miranda Mona Montgomery. I recommend a swastica for the bigot's forehead, Lt. Aldo Raine. :D
I felt really sorry for Bianca during that talk, not just because that woman is an ignorant idiot, but because of the "how did you have that kid anyway" comment. The reasons for Miranda's concievement is probably still very hard for Bianca.
WTF is up with the ignorant lady? Ugh! I hate her. "All Amber did was speak the truth...call you what you are!" EXCUSE ME: I'm pretty sure she would hate it if people went around calling her by what she is: BLACK! I'm no racist, but people don't choose what family they are born to, what color they are, and they certainly can't help it if they fall in love with a person of the same sex. Who are we to judge people by what they do? How dare we, humans, not love each other unconditionally?
