Dear Shankar and team ET Money, looking to go international for a bit of diversification. Please help me understand best performing mutual funds targeting international markets.
Hi. Pls watch our video in How to Invest in International Funds. It has some really good stuff in it and dont forget to check out the excel sheet in the description. Post that, there will be a more clarity
I want to keep my money invested in mutual fund for a period of 20 years, is there an option for that, since I can only see a time span of 5 years max while investing
Thank you for sharing this video. From what I understand that the Nifty 50 Index fund is tracked by an ETF. - This ETF is created and managed by organizations(private). Keeping in mind that there is no government-run ETF? what would be the disadvantages or risks while investing in ETF? Is it possible that the ETF may be discontinued? if so, what would happen to our investment? Request your team to share insights. I am quite comfortable if you would be able to recommend some literature.. Thank you in advance.. Please keep up the good work!!!
Thanks for this wonderful video. I have a question/doubt: if all index funds replicate the index then the performance of the same index fund (eg, Nifty 50), across different AMCs should be exactly the same, right? but this is not the case. Would be great if you could clear this doubt i.e, why the performance of index funds is different across AMCs? Thanks so much!
Dear ET Money - U mentioned that we can invest in DIRECT funds thru you - but how does it help you ? Hope you are not in charity and at the same time looking forward to understand if there are any hidden charges in investing thru ET Money .. Please clarify.
I'm very confused in Motilal oswal S&P 500 index fund(Indian) & Vangaurd S&P 500 ETF (International & oldest). They both serve the same purpose but the allocation in motilal is a little different and it also contains vangaurd too around 4.5%. Now my main concern is the Expense ratio for Motilal (0.5%) & the transaction fee for Vangaurd (International ETF around 1.2% + other charges*) Which is lower in long term for the same amount of investing done for both. Which would be better in the long term? Both follow same index with different allocation
We've not done a comparison on this but some things to consider will include: - currency i.e. USD vs INR (per Motilal Oswal* historically S&P 500 Index INR performance > S&P 500 Index USD due to INR depreciation) - benchmark (Motilal Oswal S&P 500 uses S&P 500 TRI (INR)) - redemption provisions in index funds (funds keep about 3-4% aside) * www.motilaloswalmf.com/Pdf/Products/equity/990437159Motilal-Oswal-S-P-500-Index-Fund---Presentation-Nov-2021-RD.pdf

There is no max time span with most open ended mutual funds. You can continue your scheme for as long as you want to.
Wow Great insights

Hi. We covered why performance of index fund varies (although not by much) in a different video. Pls watch at ua-cam.com/video/pzrGxQD_Y1Y/v-deo.html
I suppose the difference could be due to different expense ratios, exit load etc..
Great work ! So according to ET Money in which index fund one should invest to make a lot of money
Thanks. We always prefer to approach wealth building as a portfolio.. so combination of index funds
