5:25 you can also add in a bunnyhop (or several if you're good enough) to maintain the momentum of the kick for faster rollouts from spawn. It's minimal but it has allowed me to barely touch on overtime when I wouldn't have otherwise. Sadly you can't just bind scrollwheel to jump since it'll use up the doublejumps so the timing is a bit precise...
@dotriv I still wouldn't recommend it because the double jumps immediately start recharging during the bunnyhop, so you could still end up accidentally halting all your momentum 😅
10:46: As a high ELO Ironfist main, my team and I have found that Ironfist actually works very well in situations where you can't dive if you play as a sort of off tank WITH the team. An example of this being to apply pressure on the tanks and force the strategists to heal them while you hold the line with your vanguard, so your long range duelist and even long ranger strategist can take out the backline. If a opening is provided and you can slip away with the frontline fortitude falling apart or you dying, by all means do so but holding the line and finding a way to out last the opposing team works best in our experience. Loved this video. Just wanted to see if there was more I could learn, tyvm!
Thank you so very much for this guide! I genuinely appreciate the amount of work and passion you put into it! I really like Iron Fist, I have (or rather used to have) so much fun with him! That being said, I started avoiding playing him as everyone claims that he is absolutely useless in high ranks. Now, I am quite the opposite of a high rank player, yet still I was afraid that I would get attached to a "low skill character". I know, sounds ridiculous. But I decided to focus on "better" heroes, mostly Panther. However, seeing that you made it so far on a competitive ladder encouraged me to pick up Iron Fist again. You have once again proven that good skill, gamesense and dedication can make any character work. And for that I am grateful! My only problem right now is that I don't know how to use his Kick. Actually, it's more of a "when" thing. I have a habit of holding on to it and only using it as a disengage tool. But in your clips you seem to be a lot more comfortable using it aggressively and you stay alive. But I suppose it is a matter of experience. Anyway, I am looking forward to seeing more of your Iron Fist videos! Again, thank you kindly for this guide, for sharing your tips and strats! You are amazing
Thanks for the encouragement! So the big thing about kick is that you kind of need to use it aggressively if you want to get any kills at all (otherwise you give the enemies too much time to respond), so i try to set up in a way that after the kick i know theres a corner or team to hide behind
Thanks for this, we need an Iron Fist Discord for like-minded individuals. Also, I found some (seemingly?) unknown tech with IF, if you perfectly time a Bhop after doing Dragon Kick (without double jumping), you can transfer your momentum from the Dragon Kick into your Bhop & literally go FLYING, I’ll upload a video of this on my channel, & by the time you read this it’s probably there. The tech can be extremely useful in certain situations, it could give you just the momentum you need to slip out without getting owned. I’ve had plenty of examples where if I didn’t Bhop I would’ve been toast or at a significant disadvantage, like today I used it to get away from a Spider-Man who was ON ME which gave me enough time to recharge my Parry which won me the fight.
I thank you for this, I got to plat in an instant with Iron Fist but I hit a brick wall and only managed to hit Diamond after dropping him, despite loving Iron Fist This will get me to pick him back up again! Thank you!!
Bro thanks for the guide, i needed learn a new playstyle in high rank. When the enemy adopt the turtle formation i can't do nothing going backline so the tank style sounds pretty amazing.
Minor correction about your matchup re:Punisher. You actually destroy Punishers on their turret unless they're getting hard-saved by healers or bubbles. The trick is to jump around. He's effectively a stationary target and he simply cannot move his screen around to aim at you fast enough, the only play is to leave turret or die. Hit him, jump over his head when he turns to aim at you, keep bouncing off his head until he's dead. It goes even faster with the empowered attacks because of the stationary aspect, meaning you never accidentally dash and just unload the damage into him. And an added bonus of attacking him (and others) from this angle is that you win most damage trades because headshots are basically impossible from below you.
Loved the vid and how in-depth you went, you explain all the facets of Iron Fist super well and succinct. only note would be to have some music in the background at a low enough volume not to distract from what you're saying but its there to supplement the audio and fill in those moments where you aren't speaking.
You can dodge and get out of town so fast with triple+ jumps. Especially since you can change directon in the air making you unpredcitable. I don't get why people say you have to save "kick" to get away. Sure it's faster if you really gotta dip fast. I'm so used to kicking in to kill a support or hela/hakwaye faster. Kick in, predict the parry, finish off, jump away. Iron Fist and Peni are my favorites so far!
its situational really. you gotta decide the best for the situation. i do both. there are situations where i know i cant kill anything so i drop from high and get out with kick. there are situations im confident i can kill the target if i do it fast so i use the kick either as a finisher or disrupter/gap closer. enjoying ironfist and wolverine so much. this game is fun.
I was discussing this hero last night. Why the devs felt the need or desire to give Iron Fist a self-heal is something I can't wrap my head around. He already gets bonus health from successful blocks *AND* KOs/Assists, so adding an outright healing state with almost zero wind-up time on top of that feels excessive. If they took that away, I think he would feel pretty well-rounded, being quite strong when mastered and flexible but not overly frustrating or oppressive against anyone but a true hard counter. As he exists today, I think it's very easy to argue that his kit is overtuned.
I am new to this genre never played overwatch or anything but i have melee bias and i use iron fist just cause i feel like a menace and i just learnt if i play a dps i have to basicall assasinate enemy healers 😂 now i understand roles lol
Hes kinda like Master Yi from league low skill floor, high skill ceiling as rank scales. You can play him carelessly against low level players and win, but if you play him the same againt high level players you will get stomped. This is different from say hawkeye who plays the same at all levels of play.

Good catch! you can still use scrollwheel, just make sure to use up all doublejumps before using the kick, makes it a lot easier to bhop in general.
@dotriv I still wouldn't recommend it because the double jumps immediately start recharging during the bunnyhop, so you could still end up accidentally halting all your momentum 😅

As a lord on Iron fist with 19 hours this is an amazing video and taught me some things I will definitely apply

@@skinnyboiiiijose you think a game should resemble the comics 🤡

This is a really good guide! I think I might have to become an Iron Fist main now...

Great vid, man.
For the aiming to the right stuff for melee characters I just disable the crosshair and use the body to aim
Love the pfp! Do you have one for Hulk by any chance?
Nope, sorry! got a friend to make it for me
Now instead of going 1-67 on iron fist I can go 2-66, thanks riv
Gj bro keep it up
Actually enjoyable and good tips for iron fist. Bout hit gmmm

For newbie yeah
I appreciate this video, ngl I thought I was forced to only go up when running on walls.
Staying on target is the hardest thing about him for me
I am new to this genre never played overwatch or anything but i have melee bias and i use iron fist just cause i feel like a menace and i just learnt if i play a dps i have to basicall assasinate enemy healers 😂 now i understand roles lol
Yes! As dps main rule is to not aim tank first. Especially if you are really mobile, target support or other dps
what does CC mean?
Crowd Control! it means anything that makes someone unable to do something (move, shoot, use abilities, etc)
@ preciate that and nice video too
Doing fucking god's work holy shit
Bro make more videos on Marvel Rivals games it's popping high....
What do you think about playing him frontline/brawl
Next Peni! Please?
Can't u just stay in air against her nest
bro we should collab dive bombing vanguards as Magik and iron 🤝
Step 1: be a virgin! am I right fellas? Haha
Wait this guy needs a guide? I thought his gameplay was easy enough

@saul94923 ooh ok, maybe I should actually try playing the game
So you’re saying you’re another one of those absolute winners that quick lock DPS and force others to take support. Got it.
