UA-cam just recommend me this video after i made one. I installed a Windows 11 on a External 7200rpm 1TB HDD. Runs fine even still using a mechanical storage drive.I used the program WinToHDD, a Debloated Windows 11 Pro ISO, Auslogic Defrag (optional).
-WinToHDD easy to use
-Debloated Windows 11 ISO or known as Tiny11
-Auslogic is just a program i use to defrag my Hard Drive because i installed on External HDD and not SSD.

Can we connect this External Drive to any PC (LIKE MINE WHICH IS RUNNING Windows XP) - and start working on Windows 11....? Should not the hardware of the old PC matter....?

I just noticed that you were talking about being able to connect to the computer through of the USB port and also said something about Windows 11.
I thought it was great if it could be used as an external case and had the operating system.
I would like to ask you to tell me all the characteristics of these products, including the cable.
I'll need to of the brand and technical information about both the case and the card and capacities, if any.

I've used good quality relatively cheap USB flash drives for Windows 2 Go; It's only a bit slower during installation, but not terrible for actual use after the initial install. A $25 Samsung 256GB flash drive, rated for 400 MB/sec read and 1/2 that for write. NVME will be better; especially if you have thunderbolt 3/4 ports or USB 3.2 ports. What you don't want to do is use USB 2.0 devices or plug it into USB 2.0 ports. Whether it be Windows 10 or 11, go with the pro licenses, and search around for the better prices; saw some this morning for Windows 11 pro for as cheap as $3.02.
But Win To Go is not the ONLY option; it's also possible to create a VHD on your existing system drive, and boot from the VHD file itself.
Use cases are one of the things that boggle the minds of many; why would I want to use Windows To Go on my own PC ?
1. As a backup to get into the workstation on a rainy day - i.e. if your system becomes corrupted later, with malware or just unbootable.
2. Excellent for things that you want PRIVATE such as for running your machine to do things like your annual taxes. By doing it your taxes on the Win2Go boot disk, when done, you can simply remove it and, well, it's like having a powered off system that is offline thus not touchable by hackers remotely.
3. For doing other sorts of financial things without leaving a trace on your computer that you use on a day to day basis.
4. For connecting to a work environment if you are "working from home" using your own home computer. While a VPN is secure to a point, at times, depending upon the network you are connecting to, well, you can indeed put your own home computer "at risk" Personally, however, I'd look into getting a cheap Mini-PC for the task, along with a 2 or 4 port KVM. Or I'd dual boot using the VHD option.
Note: Some computers are licensed thru the BIOS; and as such, won't require a separate license. Some are licensed using corporate volume license keys ( gray area ) ; some PC's have the license attached to the outside of your computer case on a sticker. Some manufacturers hide the license key in the registry. But if you can buy a legit license for $3.02, well... Research is your friend.

Yes, you can but it will be slower. However, I've used to boot proxmox and Vsphere and the sd card lasted a couple of years.
It will be horribly slow. I tried this with windows 7 …you can imagine the outcome with win 11/12.

Choose 10 Pro for Workstations as it doesn't come with the bloatware the standard Windows 10 has.

Right click at the taskbar..go to disk management. Then, u supposed to see the undetected disk as 'unallocated'. Right click that disk and assign allocation for that drive
