Are the plastic clips only for securing it into the firewall or are they neccesary to keep the spring mechanism in place? I tried installing the cable on my 206, kept the spring compressed with cable ties and installed it. Cut the cable ties but right away the spring starts to extend again to its most extended position. I just dont understand how the spring gets held into the compressed position after you install it.
The Partner is a great van. Only flawed by stupid Frebch engineering when it comes to engine bay access and fixings like the clutch pedal to clutch cable. In the UK, on my 2008 van, a clevis is threaded onto the end of the cable and eventually the threads give up. The French should stick to baking and leave engineering well alone!

yeah, only for securing it in the firewall. some models have that spring loaded thing, this one doesn't, so I can't really help, sorry.

Hi, by any chance you have the # or name of that cable like the serial number maybe, I need one of those clutch cables. Thanks
Sorry, don't have it
