Simply the best tutorial for creating a radial array.
Damn, it's the tutorial which i've been looking for for a year, thank you so much!
Thank you! Went through several circular array videos with frustration. Yours explained it the best.
Thanks. I watched other videos repeatedly, this is the only one that works for me.
This might be the answer to the problem that I have been experiencing! That whole thing about editing in the edit mode is the way to go.
A simple radial array should definitely not require this many steps though. Other softwares do it in two clicks, I don't understand how Blender's been ignoring this feature so far.
yeah I feel like it should be able to do it around it's own centerpoints, rather than having to do it around another objects
Very helpful - this technique has caused me *so* much frustration...
Thanks, man
Setting the origin point for the original primitive is the secret sauce. I was getting so frustrated, I wanted to punch a baby.
Also, be sure to apply any rotations (set to 0, 0, 0) to your geometry before you attempt to apply the array, or the result is confusing.
if is it possible within the use of a empty? for example I would like to create a medieval bucket to export for Ue4 for example in Fbx format but I would like not to include the "empty" ...I might think I should deleate the empty and Iapplyed the array first.
Rheifuss Stripxssons if you don't want the empty anymore you need to apply the Array modifier and then delete the empty.
thanks buddy :)
damn it i can't do that, when i set it all solids appear one by one in stright line, what is wrong?, using 2.8
You have to use the rotation of the empty as a offset object.
Deforming geometry without instancing is ridiculous, try to combine few object parrented and arrayed. It is mess.
Okay I can't rotate empty at all
Simple and Fast - nice. Thx
Damn, it's the tutorial which i've been looking for for a year, thank you so much!
I was thinking about looking up a tutorial for this and it was just there in my recommendations when I get on youtube. Well, thanks youtube demon.
What if I want to rotate the object later on around the axis of the one?
Damn shit, the secret is don't forget to apply transformation you already did, CTRL + A, but works fine
Thank you very much!
Thanks! Excellent job of explaining this. I’ve watched others that just confused me.
here in 2019 to say: thank you, awsome vídeo
Still useful in 2019, thx! It's ridiculous that circular array functionality is not in the Blender's array modifier by default.
remember to make sure that the transform data for both the empty and the object are the same! Or else you'll get weird scaling/rotation/other weird transformations on the array.
Cool!!! Thanks!!
Nice and comprehensive tutorial..
Really helpful. This help with some issue I was getting.
Thanks!!!
god bless and don't forget to dab on the haters
Really good tutorial. tnx
