- This was a video put together in 1989 depicting the role of the aircraft division in the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. It was made by an independent observation and doesn't reflect the views, policies, or opinions of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.
I guess back then OHP uniforms fit correctly, today all the sleeves are 4 sizes too small.
A buddy of mine was OHP and was shot in the line of duty. He died of his injuries (neck I believe) a few years later. All he wanted to be his whole life was an OHP Trooper. RIP Steve.
And a guy in my OKARNG unit died when a guy in a truck slammed into the back of his patrol car while he was between them getting info. RIP Dewayne.
Sorry for your loss did that happen Recently I ask cause I saw a dash cam video of that happening to a cop
@@wheeliprince12 Steve Smith was shot in 1999, but died in 2003 from his injuries.
Duane Gundy was killed on April 11, 1990.
They need to do this in every state, throughout the country.
Omg! I couldnt find old oklahoma police cars anywhere on the internet! And this is a whole video!
Flagging over violators is "Old School", try that today and your career will be short lived!
oooh wait I haven't finished TEXTING !
They do it in Europe
I was hoping to see Joseph Nicholle who was a chopper pilot. He died 3yrs after this video in 1990 in his chopper. Would have been neat to see him.
I thank God for Oklahoma ok
In New Mexico, this is called "Mexican Radar"!
Dang, this looks so much like work lol
Really stopping people for 64MPH on that highway??... 9:30
Keep in mind this is from the 1980's when the national speed limit was 55 mph.
In my country I drive 75-80 miles per hour instead of 55 all the time. No one ever given a shit..
Flagging down violators, wow. Old school
