Does Your Lens Matter? Testing lenses on the Thunder Bolt

Since the Boss runs the lasers she handled the video and testing. I just got to work the camera. Ran some tests on the Bolt engraving a bourbon barrel lid using a detailed graphic to see and show the performance of each lens.

Dark color will come if you defocus 1-2mm

You are correct however if you want to keep the spot size small for the detail then defocus may not be the answer.
