Guess i was unlucky. I added a beautiful albino oscar with my regukar oscar who was bigger than my regular oscar. Didnt stop the resident oscar from killing it within a week. Tried to get a tank divider for them but i was too late.
That is always disappointing. Sometimes the resident Oscar just feels like it is his territory and then fights for it. Sometimes they get along. Soon I am going to do a video on how to increase your odds on Oscars getting along.
I am afraid not. Only the albino red survived. The big one had gotten huge and it broke my heart when he went. I have 4 beautiful albino Oscars now, but they fight too much. I have never had Oscars fight this bad before. But they are slowly starting to get along.
@@otcfishkeeper5414 im sad to hear that . I am preparing to have a 4 oscar aquarium and im so affraid for them not to fight . I belive that it helps to have different ones ... from your experience do you think that they will do well in a 500 l tank ? The filtration will be a build in sump with a 9000 l per hour flow .. Thanks
The tank and filter sound awesome. I have kept 4 oscars and even some jack dempseys in it together. I usually do not have any problem, these albinos are the first time they have given me a problem. They are doing better now though.
It can be for a combination of factors. Oscars can be territorial and will defend their space. Also if there is a big size difference they often tend to pick on the little one. If there is not enough space in the tank that can be a problem too. I think I will use this question to make a video with more answers. This is a great question. Thanks
Nice video. Glad the pair worked out!
Nice unboxing video and congratulations on adding new fish to the tank. Oscars are so colorful fish with a great personality 👍
Thanks, so far these two are getting along great.
Wow your oscar is beautiful the black one unique one
Thanks, Unfortunately he has since passed on, but the other one is doing great.
Your best bet would be to use natural gravel to bring out your Oscars natural colors.
Thanks, that is exactly what I thought so I did that in the next tank,
Congratulations beautiful channel and beautiful videos ..... I love cichlids ...like#8
Thanks, Oscars have always been my favorites, but I do love the Jacks too.
I also like them very much, I have also been to Mexico to see them underwater (Jack dempsey) Rocio octofasciata fantastic.
That is awesome, I am very jealous now. :)))

Excellent!!
Thanks, they are awesome fish.
Great vid and tank, I had to rehome my jack demspey as he bullied my 2 oscars lol
Jacks can be really tough. I have been pretty lucky when it comes to mixing them.
I enjoyed this video.
Thanks, I am glad to have your visit here.

I agree, they grew nice in there. Now I have them in the 265 with the other 2 and they are all growing great.

@@otcfishkeeper5414 that would be appreciated. I'd still lile to get another one. Im just baffled that a bigger oscar was killed by a smaller one.
Can i add baby oscars with juvenile oscars
No, If there is a size difference they will pick on the little one and if they are small enough they will eat the little one.
Hey bro , still alive and doing good ?

Yep, they are great. I am working on doing an update for all of the tanks. Thanks
i added another oscar to my tank with my other albino oscar and he fighted with him and killed him why are your fish not fighting like mine?
