I feel so badly for Luke's betrothed. She really liked him. I got a kick of watching their interactions over the past few episodes when they weren't the focus of the scene. It's like the four cousins bonded when kids wailing on Aemon. 😆
People were so pissed about neither of them having control of the dragons but I think you both hit the nail on the head. Vhagar is a battle dragon, she and her rider were burned so she reacted. Also dragons are bonded with the rider so they can sense the emotions. I think that it's a good point to make about animal consciousness and human intellect. Arrax and Vhagar both knew that Luke and Aemond were upset but they didn't know the complexities of what their actions would cost. Aemond chasing Luke on Vhagar could have just made her think he wanted to attack him and not just scare him. Arrax getting chased and sensing how upset Luke was made him defend Luke. So like Vanessa said, Aemond shouldn't have chased Luke. I doubt Viserys had "the talk" with Aemond about humans and dragons because he definitely underestimated Vhagar in that moment and thought he was in more control. Edit: I forgot to mention the birthing scenes and the cuts to Syrax roaring. There was also a situation when Daemon got burned in the Stepstones and Caraxes was screaming as if he was in pain.
Also Aemond isn't a trained dragon rider. Sure he can get on it and fly around but he isn't a combat experienced rider. Neither of them were. Its like getting a drag car as your first car. You might be able to move it around the driveway or drive it down the street but when it comes to doing its intended purpose he has zero experience and control over it. They even mention in the episode none of them have ever been to war or used dragons in such a way. The only one on the show who does is Daemon in the step stones.
I'll make the point that Rhaenyra picked up on was that Daemon was really angry moreso with Viserys not telling him about Aegon the Conqueror's Dream, even though he was heir for ten years before Rhaenyra got named. Daemon took it as another symbol of rejection from his brother that he never really considered him as his successor.
@@beautifulbluebell2037 lol. Killed his wife. Remarried a day after his 2nd wife's funeral. Assauled his third wife. Maybe he aint a bad father but he is definitely not a good husband whether on the surface or below. Not to mentiom he will constantly cheat on Rhae.
Viserys foreshadowed it in the first episodes.... "The idea that we control dragons is an illusion, they're a power, man should've never trifled with . One that brought Valyria it's doom, if we don't mind our own histories , it will do the same to us" And if you need more, search about Baleryon and Aerea Targaryen Oh and he just told us what was the mysterious event that brought the doom to Valyria, the dragons themselves 😘
I felt like luke lost control of arrax the moment they took off because he was very nervous before they took off and he barely listened to luke when he was telling him to turn, arrax felt threatened by vhagar and he attacked her on the other hand vhagar was following aemond's orders at first just teasing luke and arrax because when you look back at it she had two chances to easily kill them but didn't until arrax attacked and there her instinct kicked in and decided to end them, viserys was right, targaryens are fools if they think they can fully control dragons one small mistake and they go wild just like we saw
Totally agree. Thats why to me he should have tried to go back to Lord Baratheon to stay the night and probably baratheon be able to shoo away Aemond. I mean yeah aemond wants to fight but he is still alone, he could be restrained until at least Luke was safe in a room or what
I am sure the kid was scared af, and just wanted to run away. He wouldn't trust anyone there and he would think that he might be killed off if he stays. Also he might be hoping that he won't come after him once he flies off. It's mostly his kid instinct kicked, and he probably wanted to run back to safe place back to his mother.
Agree, but think that Daemond had something to do with it when he went to the biggest Dragons lair and sung a connection with it. He did say earlier he would rather feed his sons to a dragon than bend the knee. A foreboding of his intent. Behind the scenes he wanted a war footing and created it. Now we have the Dance of the Dragons. War.
@@howfire Mmmm you didnt watch the episode closely did you. You watched with your eyes but not your ears. Why did Daemond go to that Dragons lair and sing it prior to the other scenes. What Dragon is it because its bigger than Vhagar. Luke and Aemond both lost control of their dragons. Then when Luke is clear up above the clouds, Vhagar attacked despite Aemond saying NO NO..to Vahgar. This is what starts the Dance of the Dragons. Which is what Daemond wants. War. Watch it again ok. Look at context of the episode. As I said Daemond said Id rather feed my sons to a dragon than bend the knee when they confronted the Hand Hightower. And he feed a son. A stepson. Luke. I may be utterly wrong but... its a great episode. I loved it.
She lost her father and had a miscarriage she doesn't really get time to grieve her losses. she just got the news and she now has this big responsibility on her shoulders she trying to do her best and everyone else just wants to rush into war . Rhaenyra is also considering what her father said about the realm needing to be united Daemon is chaotic like Loki the Norse God one moment he is happy and than another day he is pissed off at you. He loves his family and power . I personally feel like he does love Rhaenyra and he did care for Lena not necessarily love ,he also seems to be angry with all the political bullshit and wants Rhaenyra to act like a dragon like 🐉
Aemond is still responsible for Lucerys' death even though he didn't intend to kill him. He chased after him with his dragon and attempted to intimidate him. And then things got out of hand. It's similar to what happened years ago when Lucerys and Aemond were kids. Aemond picked a fight and it got out of hand beyond what he intended.
True, although in both situations it wasn't Aemond who resorted to violence. If Luke had stayed and fought Aemond on the ground and not run away, Aemond wouldn't have chased him, and Luke's dragon attacked first.
@@Rocket1377 In both situations Aemond resorted to violence. Why would he stayed and fight despite Luke saying he was just a messenger and couldn't take part in any fighting, Aemond kept chasing and antagonizing him with Vhagar, including attacking first. In the POV of Luke he definitely must get out there asap, he cant trust anyone there, and he is no match to Aemond. You say about not being chased, but it happened because Aemond desire to harm and terrorize Luke. At the time they fought Luke was just a small child that act by impulse, fear and rage to protect his brother and himself not knowing exactly the consequences of his attack would do to Aemond (not saying what he did was right). Aemond escalated the fight spitting insults, threatening the boys with a brutal death, picking up a rock, aiming it and choking Luke. Unfortunately, the accident was a permanent damage to Aemond. But Aemond himself said, when he claimed Vaghar, that was a fair trade "a eye for a dragon", accepting the thing. He is denying his words now. In Stormlands we got a spiteful, bitter and coward young men who was threatening and terrifying a child and Arrax (a very young dragon) hysterically with an ancient predator, the largest dragon alive, (it's like threatening a pedestrian with a car or toying with a gun) chasing the boy mid fly during a raging storm and attacking 4 times so he can satisfy his frustration. Dragons don't understand sport and jest and to think a dragon wouldn't attack in response to a threat on his life is not just insane, Arrax, like a animal, felt cornered and panicked acting on instinct and terror. And now because of his imprudence Aemond is a kinslayer. And so the dance begins.
I'm really wanting to see how Alicent is going to react when she learns that Aemond(technically Vhagar) killed Rhaenyra's son. I love how complex her relationship with Rhaenyra can be.
Nah, don't worry about the time jumps. They needed to do that for us to know the characters and what makes them tick. But now, the conflict will be given its due.
That last scene reminds me of when teenagers get their license and are screwing around chasing each other on the freeway.... all fun and games until it goes wrong.
He totally did he gets duty. His entire purpose in that scene was to taunt and scare him a bit- it was a clear mistake because we see they don’t control their dragons really.
@@uhrrrrrangels literally everyone thinks they’re above their dragon lol, they’re flying them…? Nothing before then had them think otherwise. Yes it was dumb to taunt and play around but that’s literally kids for you. Arrax started the attack while not listening to Luke. Its evident most of the targs don’t realize it (Viserys knew) and yet you say stupid mistake as if Aemond should have known before hand. I can guarantee over the few years of flying her, Aemond probably thought she wouldn’t rampage and kill someone without his command.
Aemond did understand that. He wasn't trying to kill Luke, just wound him, to repay him for his eye. He challenged him to a man-to-man fight, which Luke ran away from. It was also the dragon who killed the dragon, not Aemond who killed Luke.
When Rhaenyra makes the boys swear they go as messengers and not warriors , it’s because the in the rules of battle like in our historical world they are invoking the same rules of warfare and honor. Everyone is supposed abide by those rules and that’s where one of the sayings, “don’t shoot the messenger” comes from.
The stage is set, the music has started, and now we have taken the first steps of the Dance Of The Dragons! I knew the finale was going to be huge but HOLY GODDAMN SHIT!!! The dogfight or really the DRAGON FIGHT was absolutely horrifying, and the way it ended…..the look on Aemond’s face was absolutely of regret. He wanted to bully Luke but he didn’t want to kill him, and when Vhagar did it against his wishes he knew he started a war. Emma D’arcy in their Inside The Episode interview said that even though Rhaenyra had lost her parents she had never known what true loss was, this was son, HER SON, she will burn all of the greens to ash!
I'm not sure if Aemond gives two shits about this (some people don't, obviously), but this also makes him a kinslayer, since Lucerys is his nephew, and kinslayers are accursed in the eyes of the gods.
@@Kratosx23 He "cared" for his nephews. His look horror when Vhegar kills them is plane to see. Add to the fact that neither dragon was listening to their respective riders. It was basically Dragon vs. Dragon with them along for the ride.
The bows and allegiance scene to Rhaenyra was a great moment There was so much forboding in this episode. At first i thought lightning was going to strike Lucerys and Arrax . Viserys always said the idea that we control the dragons is an illusion. I knew one of the brothers wasn't going to return. Farewell Lucerys and Arrax. The look on Aemonds face even he knows it's on now !!
To be fair to Lucerys and Arrax, both are young and definitely do not think they’re just being taunted for fun. They are fleeing for their lives, so this idea that Arrax made Vhagar attack. When Arrax is clearly terrified, just like Lucerys. What did Aemond think was going to happen?
Aemond on the next season will be like: - Mom, I'm back... - My son! So, what that Baratheon told you? - Ehm...I....I may have started a war by an accident...I guess 😬
@19:39 that's totally right! What Viserys said "The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion. They're a power man should never have trifled with." He was so wise...and there are people saying he was not a good king. Vhagar attacked Arrax because he was attacked and also because he felt Aemond, was in danger, so Vhagar protected. But it was Aemond who put Vhagar in that situation, chasing them...
This episode's conclusion in a nutshell:- Aemond : "Hey Nuclear missile. I'm ordering you to destroy just City A, and not do any destruction to City B, just nearby it. I only want to send a message!" Nuclear Missile : "Um.....that's not how we work" Aemond : "I know that, but I'm ordering you not do it that way, so you just send a message. (In High Valeryian...)You work for me and are loyal to me!" Nuclear Missile : "Ooookay....." (**Nuclear missle wipes out City A. Nuclear fallout from the explosion wipes out City B.......City C,....City D......and City W.....***) Aemond : "Ooh....er............" You can't use dragons to flex. This is what happens when you use uncontrollable weapons of mass destruction to flex. On the flip side, you knew that Lucerys was a goner when they suddenly decided to give him more screen-time and spent all that time with him and his mom foreshadowi....er.... I mean,....showing him having touching mother-son moments with them connecting.
The dragon that Daemon approached in the darkness was Vermithor the bronze fury he was the dragon of king jaehaerys the old king in the beginning of episode 1. I think he's like the second oldest after Vhagar and possibly the second biggest too.
He shouldn’t have went after Luke, he had Vhagar chopping at them scaring the life out of them, Arrax is a baby dragon flying for his life. This is all on Aemond.
Aemond had no intention of killing him, he could’ve been killed him by simply saying “Dracarys” while tailing Luke. Once Luke obeyed his dragon to throw fire at Vhagar it’s the moment the rider is no longer in control of the dragon because remember Vhagar has been in many wars & the next moment he gets his chance to fight back he will.
@@wasssuuuppp yeah but nonetheless, because of the reasons you mentioned, a battle dragon, it's still on Aemond he would have known the history of Vhagar therefore was stupid of him to go after Luc and intimidate them both yes? Knowing that in the back of his mind, the dragons cant be fully controlled regardless of them and their riders connection :)
@@wasssuuuppp Luke didn’t command Arrax to fire, he fired out of pure fear at being hunted and chomped at. Like come tf on bro. This is all on Aemond. He’s flying the oldest dragon in Westeros to chase a kid and his kid dragon, wtf did he think would happen?
@@marleymarsss no it’s not bru, I’d be pissed too if someone took my eye off 🤣 none of these dudes should ride dragons, it’s gunna be hilarious to see everyone at the end lose truly
"Neither whip nor words could turn Drogon if he did not wish to be turned." Thats from fifth book. Also, Silverwing refused the wishes of Alysanne 3 times.Dragons are not slave,Luke felt scared, anxious threatened so his young dragon reacted accordingly,it is sort of self-defense Vhagar felt the resentment and hate Aemond felt towards Luke, Aemond did not want to kill Luke but he wanted to take his eye. Dragons are emotionally connected to their riders, but sometimes whatever they do with feelings of their riders is something they decide on their own.
Whether or not Aemond intended to kill him (I don't think he did), it doesn't matter. He got on the back of the biggest dragon to pursue the tiniest one, just to antagonise Lucerys over a childhood spat that he also started. He should have known that wasn't smart. It is totally his fault.
This is what happens when you put the power of a nuclear bomb, in the hands of kids. Aemond thought he had control of Vhagar. Until he didn't. It was an accident, but no one is going to see it that way. I'm positive his mother is gonna be pissed with him. And Rhaenerya... well all she wants is blood.
What an awesome episode, Viserys foreshadowed it in the first episodes.... "The idea that we control dragons is an illusion, they're a power, man should've never trifled with . One that brought Valyria it's doom, if we don't mind our own histories , it will do the same to us" Oh and he just told us what was the mysterious event that brought the doom to Valyria, the dragons themselves 😘
I'm still pissed Rhaenyra's only daughter was a stillborn, wouldn't it great having a daughter named Visenya? The whole realm would be trembling in fear just by hearing her name, lol
I legit thought the Baratheon was Zach Galifianakis. Then I realized I would have really liked for it to have actually been Zach Galifianakis. And also, Vhagar was the sister of Balerion the Black Dread and one of the original dragons of Aegon the Conqueror ... she was old, experienced, and obviously a "fk around and find out" kind of dragon...
Ughhhh my fucking heart could not handle it. I broke down with that dragon scene. Rhaenyra tried doing what she felt was best and lost a son because of it.
Aemond was trying to be a bully and they ended up making the dragons beef and of course the bigger dragon won that battle. They literally said when dragons go to war everything burns
The song in English that Daemon sings to Vermithor. (directly from the man that created ALL the languages in GoT, he also wrote this song for the episode) "Fire breather Winged leader But two heads To a third sing From my voice: The fires have spoken And the price has been paid With blood magic With words of flame With clear eyes To bind the three To you I sing As one we gather And with three heads We shall fly as we were destined Beautifully, freely...” ✨🎶🤴🏼- - -🐉💕✨
RIP to Lord Luc Strong lol. He would have done better than just given Aemond one of his eyes lol. But on a series note, there had to be a casulity of war to sling shot Rhanerya into being more assertive in taking back the iron throne. With blood spilled and Rhanerya lossing her unborn child, ain't no telling what she's going to do smh. A mother's fiery can be dangerous and the look she had on her face in the last shot was giving me Mad Queen vibes 😱
Aemond’s pompous toying while riding the biggest dragon will lead into a war with no return. I blame him for the death; his reckless action was never kingly.
I mean, Aemond kind of got what he wanted but I don't think he was really trying to kill Luke. But it was at that moment, he knew that he messed up. As in: "Oh fuck, What did I just do?!" He basically was the spark to the match of war now. Both parties tried to end things peacefully but now, shit just got real and fast.
Ahhh blood and cheese, the thing that made me switch sides in the book. It would b kinda unfair to the blacks to make it so cruel considering Aemond v Luke wasn't intentional
@@dominictoretto3592 Lol. The death of Luke and Arrax is in the hands of Aemond. He vehemently pursued the dragon pup, for what? with the intention to scare them? dragons are not slaves, and they react to threats and stresses, that’s just solely from the series. The book was hardcore, a vile intention of Aemond to kill. I will have to see how Blood and Cheese will play. Still, I will put the blame on Aemond, that was reckless of him, proving that greater power comes greater responsibility.
@@just42day when did I say it wasn't Aemond fault? It's 1000% Aemond fault as you said he shouldn't have been playing around with 200 year old war beast. All I was saying is that it's going to make blood and cheese seem much more cruel than it already was IMO. Regardless, I'm loving the shows adaptation
There is no misunderstanding! Aemond was the one who chased after Luke.He even wanted to fight with him to take his eye!He started to war between dragons .You say He did not wanted to kill him so he wanted to play hide and seek with Luke? Aemond intended to kill Luke on the book. It was not an accident, Aemond caused Luke's death one way or another. He should have known what could happen with dragons. He was the one who messed with Luke!Aemond is guilty one.
No Aemond said the trade for his eye for a dragon was the price paid in full. Aemond should not of gone anywhere near a messenger, nevermind chase one, that is a major taboo. He is the sole reason this murder happened and it was. An ancient battle veteran dragon told to chase a young terrified dragon is just murder.
In addition to what King Viserys told Rhaenyra about how misguided it is to believe that dragons can be controlled. In Game of Thrones, Daenerys said, "A dragon is not a slave." 🐉🔥
Everyone forgot how dangerous Daemon can be till this episode. Even Rahenera forgot . He’s still the same dude that sent the gold cloaks out to get people and attack. You can pick a side but there’s good and bad people on all sides of this civil war that will do terrible things to win or just because and I felt that wasn’t being shown .
“Aegon Targaryen 👑🐉 sits the Iron Throne. He wears the conqueror’s crown, wields the conqueror’s sword, has the conqueror’s name. He was anointed by the Septon of the faith before the eyes of thousands. Every symbol of legitimacy belongs to him.” 🫡🫡💚💚
This comment may come with spoils so please fracking read before comment. 6:37 I want one!! with LED not with actual fire. Starve them out 26:0419:15 Aemond has drawn first blood. and now the Dance begins Dragons only obey in High Valyrian fun fact. Deamon will go after Aemond first 100%
There won't be anymore time jumps. The whole Dance of Dragons takes place over just a couple of years. My guess is that it will play out over 4 seasons or so.
Aemond: I want his eye. Or to scare him a tad. Vhagar: He can keep his eye. I love that this is the real events (per GRRM). The book is just a narration of a history book, not complete truthfulness but diff povs of random peeps. I like how they truly didn’t control their dragons at that time. You see the regret and agony that Aemond feels. But no one will believe him since no one was there so his approach will be to just accept it on himself as a murderer (kinslayer)
He wasn't trying to bully him, Aemond wanted a one-on-one duel so he could get revenge for Luke blinding him in one eye. Let's not forget that when they were younger Luke bullied Aemond.
I think Aemond will own it. Like Jamie with Kingslaying. He knew the actual context but let people think the worst because while he was hated he was also feared. I think it’ll low key eat at Aemond too at least in the beginning but I see him eventually wearing it as a badge of ‘honor’.
That very last shot was honestly fantastic! Damn it i'm liking GOT again now :/ I think the worst part is that they can't even cremate him as it looked like his body hit the ocean so there is no way of retrieving it for a proper send off .. any mother would go mad at this point and we're talking about a Targaryen here so Fire is coming.
@@symonew33 Yeah it was hard to tell but I thought the dragon went for the neck of the other dragon, and he got knocked off as a result but maybe you're right he probably got chewed up either way no more body
When he grabbed Rhaenera by the neck like that I'm sure myself in a lot of viewers were like , " umm no bueno" bruh. If you love your niece so much makes me wonder how you handled your cousin Laena behind closed doors.
Agreed, Daemon choking Rhaenyra is fucked, but Rhaenyra also reacted with shock like she never expected him to put his hands on her at all, and she focused on the heir thing that he was actually mad at.
SCREW Aemond! He shouldn't have stolen the dragon of his nieces' dead mother on the night of them watching her burial in the first ruddy place and he would've never lost an eye. He knew it was wrong then, sneaking in the dead night. Also, he had a bunch of dragons to choose from his father's dragonpit which makes him stealing it from the little girls all the more reprehensible! And do NOT give me that lame excuse every asinine bully since the the dawn of time have issued, "We didn't mean to do Y. We onlyeant to do X." First, the X always something stupid and cruel if not outright illegal that they should be doing. Second, that's why you don't play with guns, knives, swords, play chicken with cars, wild animals, on Clifftops, on rooftops, etc. to specifically to prevent STUPID, NEEDLESS, ASININE ACCIDENTS. So much for "It was worth trade." No, Robert, no. Vanessa is right. This is all Armond's fault. All of it. There is no excuse, no sympathy, ZERO compassion left for him. He has long since used it all up.
I somewhat questioned the necessity of the two scenes prior to this episode with the Silent Sisters wrapping the bodies of Vaemond & Viserys, but it ends up adding a great deal to this episode and the scene that shows Rhaenyra making the effort to wrap the body of her stillborn child herself.
Aemond didn't speak to Vhagar in Valerian properly while giving her commands I noticed, there was alot of English... While Luke managed to get Arrax under control after the fire incident, it was still too late unfortunately! BUT Dragons aren't slaves and Vhagar was doing what she does best, battle!
What a Phenomenal Season Finale of #HOTD ‼️ That was the best season finale I’ve ever seen from a show. And this season was BRILLIANT. What a show #HOTD has become and the start to another legendary series. No spin-off has ever been as grand as this was‼️ TAKE A BOW HBO 👑🔥🩸🐉🔥
The translation has been confirmed thanks to the language's creator, David J. Peterson (via Archive Of Our Own). In it, it is revealed that the name of the song Daemon sings to Vermithor is "With Three Heads". Check the English translation: Fire breathes, winged leader but two heads For a third to sing From my voice: The fires spoke And the price has been paid with blood magic With words of fire with clear eyes To tie the three for you i sing As one we come together And with three heads We'll fly like we were meant to beautifully, freely In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya In the book Aemond he kills Luke because he wants to and when he gets home he celebrates and Aegon and alicent they celebrate luke's death different from the series they put it as an accident that the Two lost control of the dragons in the book there is no such thing as losing control of the dragons they spoiled everything in the series but anyway Aemond killed Luke he could have prevented it It was just him not following Luke but that asshole Aemond went after the kid now he's going to bear all the consequences now l' m wondering how they are they going to do this in the series because in the book the greens are all happy with luke's death for alicent, aegon and even aemond so i'm wondering how they are going to do it in the series because the writers put it as if it was an accident and that aemond didn't wanted to kill Luke unlike the book where he kills Luke because he wants to, I didn't like that much they did it just to make people feel sorry for the greens in my opinion, In the book Aemond kills Luke because he wanted to kill Luke different from the series that showed that it was an "Accident" but depending on how Aemond was and blamed for Luke's death he could have avoided it An example was just he didn 't follow Luke then he wouldn't kill Luke anymore like Aemond is a donkey, imbecile is an idiot he did shit and now the greens will pay for everything they did Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother. From the scene where he stopped Corlis talking shit about Viserys in ep 1, helping on the throne to mourning on the beach. I don't think Daemon wanted to show weakness because Rhaenyra was at her most vulnerable and it wasn't easy.. (His last wife died in childbirth, and I believe it is also said that his mother died in childbirth and the wife of Viserys died in childbirth.) So the only thing he could do was prepare for the war he knew was coming. The scene on the beach was much longer of him on the beach Matt the actor he shot a scene on the beach the daemon suffering from the death of his baby who was a girl and her name was the series visenya but HBO preferred to remove this scene the daemon he is not no saint anymore he loves his family he loves his children and really rhaenyra just unfortunately the writers prefer not to show that side of him much, i think the reason daemon didnt go to rhaenyra when she was giving birth is because he feared having to make an impossible choice. The last woman he had complications with died. He didn't want to have to make that choice for Rhaenyra. He couldn't lose her that way. When he dropped to his knees, he was relieved that she was okay and had survived. Rhaenyra didn't want help during the birth because of her mother's death. She wanted to get that baby out so she wouldn't suffer the same fate. This series/book is awesome... Matt Smith said that Daemon would give his life for Viserys and Rhaenyra. I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever Emma Darcy who plays Rhaenyra she says that the daemon never laid a hand on Rhaenyra that this was the first time that Rhaenyra her character didn't care much because she knows that the daemon did that and Because he's angry and he's letting his emotion out and she also says which character of hers cares the most about what she just found out that the daemon doesn't know about prophecy because Rhaenyra I thought the daemon knew because he was heir to viserys for 10 years that's why she put a smile on the side of her mouth because she just found out that her father always chose her and Rhaenyra had her doubts if her father wanted her as heir remembers episode 2 when Rhaenyra talks to Alicent poise now after years he got her answer The daemon must be sad because it's his brother and he just found out that he was never chosen and that brother never trusted him enough to tell him and that's more heartbreaking A script for the first season came out that HBO thought of putting in the story a scene that the viserys was thinking of telling the daemon then he starts talking to the daemon but then gives up only that they They didn't put this scene unfortunately I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family. Daemon isn't a saint, but he's definitely not a villain. He does a lot of bad things, but he's a gray character, and loving his family and protecting them is one of his redeeming qualities and some writers are trying to take that away from him. There are two teams, the Green Team that belongs to Alicent and the Black Team that belongs to Rhaenyra, I hope to see Rhaenyra with fire in her eyes in the second season, The Greens will pay for everything they did
Raehnyra's son was there as a messenger and messenger are not attacked. And certainly absolutely not when they are royal blood. It's that simple. Neither an eye for an eye nor for fun or anything else. He started the war with it. No idea what the two are talking about here, but that was an open declaration of war.
I’m with her. Don’t defend Aemond for this. Whether he meant to kill him or not, he shouldn’t have been chasing him in a storm with a huge dragon that he couldn’t control. Neither he or his mother were entitled to Luke’s eye. He lost it because he was fighting the other boy. I know technically he is a teenager still but he looks so much bigger and older than Luke, he looked crazy chasing him.

I feel so badly for Luke's betrothed. She really liked him. I got a kick of watching their interactions over the past few episodes when they weren't the focus of the scene. It's like the four cousins bonded when kids wailing on Aemon. 😆
Don't feel bad she didn't give a f and got married

@@priyanshshrivastava9013 no need, I'm watching the show ;p
@@priyanshshrivastava9013 The books aren't POV so no one knows if she "didn't give a f". What are you on about?
Also if you watch again, it sounds like Aemond panicked and spoke english to Vhagar and not Valyrian. Maybe that's another reason

The Dance of Dragons has begun. Aemond and Lucerys couldn’t restrain their dragons
Yup
Its largely aemonds fault for fucking around with Luke but honestly he should have left the moment he saw vhegar knowing the deal was off poor kid .
The only one with full control of their dragon during battle is Daemon right now. The other dragons haven’t seen battle yet or their riders haven’t.
Viserys foreshadowed it in the first episodes....

"The storm broke, and the dragons danced"
War.
@@charki40 Wtf? How did you get this conclusion? Daemon has nothing to do to Luke murder
I loved it.

she just got the news and she now has this big responsibility on her shoulders she trying to do her best and everyone else just wants to rush into war . Rhaenyra is also considering what her father said about the realm needing to be united
Daemon is chaotic like Loki the Norse God one moment he is happy and than another day he is pissed off at you.

Why you talking like Aemond started that fight you dummy
True, although in both situations it wasn't Aemond who resorted to violence. If Luke had stayed and fought Aemond on the ground and not run away, Aemond wouldn't have chased him, and Luke's dragon attacked first.
@@Rocket1377 stop blaming the victim.
Also if you watch again, it sounds like Aemond panicked and spoke english to Vhagar and not valyrian. Maybe that's another reason
I'm really wanting to see how Alicent is going to react when she learns that Aemond(technically Vhagar) killed Rhaenyra's son. I love how complex her relationship with Rhaenyra can be.
She is going to be pissed at him for sure!

Nah, don't worry about the time jumps. They needed to do that for us to know the characters and what makes them tick. But now, the conflict will be given its due.

Even if you are at war, you do not kill the messengers or envoys. Rhaenyra understood it, Aemond didn't.
He totally did he gets duty. His entire purpose in that scene was to taunt and scare him a bit- it was a clear mistake because we see they don’t control their dragons really.
@@LS13. it was a mistake. A very stupid one. Aemond thought he was above his dragon. Now he knows he is not.

Vhagar is a she-dragon. A grande dame and veteran of battle. Luke and Arrax never stood a chance!
"The idea that we control dragons is an illusion" - Viserys Targaryen
The Dragons are just like Larys, Cole and Daemon... Weapons that don't do subtleties when they think they're defending someone they're loyal to

You are correct.
Vhagar felt the resentment and hate Aemond felt towards Luke, Aemond did not want to kill Luke but he wanted to take his eye. Dragons are emotionally connected to their riders, but sometimes whatever they do with feelings of their riders is something they decide on their own.
Vhagar is the old granny she-dragon! What a beast she is!
Whether or not Aemond intended to kill him (I don't think he did), it doesn't matter. He got on the back of the biggest dragon to pursue the tiniest one, just to antagonise Lucerys over a childhood spat that he also started. He should have known that wasn't smart. It is totally his fault.

😱 “FCUK…. FCUK!!!!”
Lmao 😂
People surprised Daemon choked Rhaeynra. He did smash his first wife’s head in with a rock
@21:19 wow nice Scary Movie 2 quote hahahahahah love that movie :D
Love your hair Vanessa 💕 I loved this season! The wait for season 2 begins 😩
💜💜💜
That sapphire eye looks so clean and cool
How in the ever loving hell do you guys get this reaction out so fast... the episode LITERALLY just ended!!!
They watched the leaked episode and filmed their reaction early lol
They had to react to the leaked episode, the entire episode leaked about 4-5 days ago.
ooooohhhh... Piracy's a bitch these days!!
Leaked episode is my guess. Some reactors just straight up put, "reaction to HOTD finale leak" lmao
Check the English translation:
Fire breathes, winged leader
but two heads
For a third to sing
From my voice:
The fires spoke
And the price has been paid
with blood magic
With words of fire
with clear eyes
To tie the three
for you i sing
As one we come together
And with three heads
We'll fly like we were meant to
beautifully, freely
In the book Aemond he kills Luke and because he wanted not to and as he is showing in the series that he is sorry, the name of Rhaenyra's baby would be a girl and her name would be visenya
In the book Aemond he kills Luke because he wants to and when he gets home he celebrates and Aegon and alicent they celebrate luke's death different from the series they put it as an accident that the Two lost control of the dragons in the book there is no such thing as losing control of the dragons they spoiled everything in the series but anyway Aemond killed Luke he could have prevented it It was just him not following Luke but that asshole Aemond went after the kid now he's going to bear all the consequences now l' m wondering how they are they going to do this in the series because in the book the greens are all happy with luke's death for alicent, aegon and even aemond so i'm wondering how they are going to do it in the series because the writers put it as if it was an accident and that aemond didn't wanted to kill Luke unlike the book where he kills Luke because he wants to, I didn't like that much they did it just to make people feel sorry for the greens in my opinion, In the book Aemond kills Luke because he wanted to kill Luke different from the series that showed that it was an "Accident" but depending on how Aemond was and blamed for Luke's death he could have avoided it An example was just he didn 't follow Luke then he wouldn't kill Luke anymore like Aemond is a donkey, imbecile is an idiot he did shit and now the greens will pay for everything they did
Rhaenyra wasn't dreaming of a dragon giving birth. Her own dragon, Syrax, was screaming in pain at her because they are so bonded. If you notice during the Battle of the Stepstones, Caraxes screams when Daemon is hit by an arrow. this shows how Rhaenyra and Daemon have a great connection with their dragons. Rhaenyra's anger burns the whole transition was so well done, her anger is completely justified compared to how they made Daenarys
Daemon as crazy as it gets, he loved his brother.
I fully believe he was heartbroken to see his brother in that condition. we books Alicent she hates Rhaenyra she was always jealous of Rhaenyra so much that I wish rhaenyra's death no and as in the series it shows that alicent is like that and because we books she does things because she because she is a bad person
Let's see the losses Rhaenyra lost mother and father and daughter and son and Daemon lost father and mother in childbirth and also lost his wife who is Laena and son and now he lost brother and daughter and two other children They are suffering, but each one of their own ways, the daemon starts preparing for war because he knows Otto very well and he is afraid of losing his family One thing I say is that the two really love each other rhaenyra she can't survive without the daemon They are the best couple like it or not they are everyone's popular Daemyra forever
Emma Darcy who plays Rhaenyra she says that the daemon never laid a hand on Rhaenyra that this was the first time that Rhaenyra her character didn't care much because she knows that the daemon did that and Because he's angry and he's letting his emotion out and she also says which character of hers cares the most about what she just found out that the daemon doesn't know about prophecy because Rhaenyra I thought the daemon knew because he was heir to viserys for 10 years that's why she put a smile on the side of her mouth because she just found out that her father always chose her and Rhaenyra had her doubts if her father wanted her as heir remembers episode 2 when Rhaenyra talks to Alicent poise now after years he got her answer The daemon must be sad because it's his brother and he just found out that he was never chosen and that brother never trusted him enough to tell him and that's more heartbreaking A script for the first season came out that HBO thought of putting in the story a scene that the viserys was thinking of telling the daemon then he starts talking to the daemon but then gives up only that they They didn't put this scene unfortunately
I think the biggest reason people didn't like the scene of Daemon smothering Rhaenyra is because he's supposed to be a bad guy to the greens, but the protector of his family. Daemon isn't a saint, but he's definitely not a villain. He does a lot of bad things, but he's a gray character, and loving his family and protecting them is one of his redeeming qualities and some writers are trying to take that away from him.
There are two teams, the Green Team that belongs to Alicent and the Black Team that belongs to Rhaenyra, I hope to see Rhaenyra with fire in her eyes in the second season, The Greens will pay for everything they did
The Dragon Daemon was singing too is Vermithor
And lets wait for september 2024
She lost her dad, her throne, her unborn baby, and her baby lucerys all in 48 hours like she’s boutta be on the war path
Field trip to Winterfell next season.
🎶That Cregan's a bad mother-
Watch your mouth!
I'm just talkin' 'bout Stark!
We can dig it!🎶
"Let me introduce you to my Huncle Daemon..."
🤣
Aemond was an idiot for claiming a valarian dragon and trying to command ot in English 💀
*What. A. Season.*
2 years till next season airs I think!filming season 2 starts in april or august/september 2023
Rhaenys lost 2 children in one week, ( as far as everyone and her knows). Now Rhaenera has.
Gotta wait like 2 yrs for season 2😭
The storm broke and the dragons danced
I think before Luke hit the ground Falcor scooped him up because it's the Neverending Story!!!
Falkor
