I have using this as ab awake listening practice. I listen, write down (in pinyin, not characters) what I think I'm hearing, and then check to see if I'm right. Because the video has similar phrases all in a row, that means I learn immediately what to fix for the very next sentence!

This is good except that the Chinese speaker is not even. That is, sometimes she speaks faster than the rest of the time, which also makes the pronunciations closer together, and sometimes she is louder, more in the forefront of the video if you know what I mean.
These two things make it hard for me to sleep, because they are surprises to my brain that has gotten used to slower, more evenly spaced, and quieter speaking. I keep jolting awake.
