I know in jail they don't care. You have to get special permission to just take Tylenol and it's the same process with the sick call and a lot of the time by the time you get seen your issue is over.
If it's bad enough they usually just pull the tooth. They're not in there doing fillings and crowns. If it's bad they pull it If not then you get Tylenol
They don't. They do extractions. That's it. I have seen a couple women get all of their teeth pulled and get fitted for dentures. The dentures never fit properly. I have liver damage now bc of how many Tylenol I was consuming while waiting to get a tooth pulled. No antibiotics just eat some Tylenol. Took them 3 months to pull it.
Bc in prison you can order Tylenol off commissary and eat as many as you want. Thank God tho, bc in jail they only give you two 3 times a day so I would have suffered in pain way more. But now anytime I eat Tylenol I'm doubled over in pain due to my liver.
I completely understand what you say. But what happens if you do get seriously life threatening sick? Like an extremely high fever. Or some other ailment?
They usually wait until the inmate is passed out in their cell and then move them to the infirmary after they check to make sure you aren't faking...a lot of times it's too late and there's a negative outcome😞
Last time I was in jail (cop thought it was funny to arrest me cause a headlight was out on my way to hook up the new one!) and my anxiety was out of control. I didn’t care if it was an antihistamine My bp and pulse was really high so they did prescribe hydroxyzine so that helped a little and I was thrilled that they didn’t ignore me
I contracted a parasite while on biohazard cleanup at 4 AM and they said it was allergies gave me a weeks worth of Claritin and sent me back. Turns out the parasite in my eye from fecal matter from 5150 area clean up damaged my cornea and by the time I could see a real doctor I went blind in that eye. Had we had the proper protective and required gear for the job it wouldn’t have happened you can’t tell unless you really look at my eye to this day but this was in 2013, depth perception gone can’t ever not hit a curb, tops on lens things people don’t think about until it’s gone… one of many sickening experiences in the twisted justice system but I’ll stop there for now…
My doctor worked in a prison. I couldn’t get the meds I needed because she thought I was on drugs because her patients in prison would try and con her into getting the same med.
I wish that there was a way for you and I to speak one-on-one about this. I have personal questions and it's kind of a long, drawn out story to get to the point and I really don't want to put all of my business out here for the entire world, lols! It has more to do with chronic illnesses (such as epilepsy), and some other personal, legal matters involving my (then) child and her deadbeat dad and the ways that DHR are treating us so DRASTICALLY differently. It's disturbing, to say the very least 😢
I’d be curious what kind of care you received during your pregnancy? You’ve told your birth story (I’m sorry) but have you told what happened in the months before that?? Do you get much care? Do you get better food? Etc.
I remember her talking about COs taking her to the OBGYN for checkups in public with shackles and a prison uniform on. I also believe they got one extra sandwich at night.
Basically the county jail/penitentiary medical staff just tells you to deal with it if your condition is not severe enough. They're worthless in there.
That's funny. At the prison I worked at inmates only had to pay $3 for sick calls, medications, dental, that my own insurance wouldn't pay for if I needed it.
Majority of the doctors and nurses act like they don’t have the time for shit lol which I kind of understand but still. I only ever had ONE nurse practitioner who went out of her way for me when I had a horrible bladder infection and was just laying in my cell so damn uncomfortable.
Oh my gosh, you were just so gorgeous. I think I fell in love with you. The first time I seen your video I can't even believe i'm writing this in a note
There used to be a jail in Virginia that had several inmates die in their cells after being ignored by medical staff. That jail is closed now.
Thank god!
The #1 question I always have is with dental care. Dental pain is so painful and I wonder how serious they take dental pain.

@@clevernamehere oh no. Was it from taking too many or something else?
PLEASE do a video on what happens if you have endometriosis in prison. It's one of the most painful diseases you can have.
American prisons breed insane embitterment. They so need f-ing reform.

@@petersarubbiyeah okay. For some reason my brain didn’t even think about this scenario… that’s so messsssed up!!

Been to prison. 100% accurate
It's always "drink more water" and "eat slower"🙄

Not to mention you just won’t get the best doctors working in prisons. You get the ones that couldn’t make it in fancy practices or big hospitals.
Sounds similar to military health care
What the actual fxck... our country's hero's get treated like that?! 😡😡😡
What if you have a chronic disease like epilepsy or diabetes or asthma?
