Fun video. I have been out of the IPSC game for quite a few years but am just getting back into it. Can anyone explain why I am seeing lots of really good shooters, like the 2 in this video, firing 3 rounds at paper instead of the traditional 2? Is it just make up shots or "just in case" shots? I've seen it on a lot of videos now. I am thinking maybe it's worth the extra split to have the 3rd round down there or are they just correcting a bad shot? I've made "make up" shots before but I have more recently seen it rather regularly from some top level guys. I would love to hear about it. Thanks again for the video.

Thank you!! Some occasions are make up shots but sometimes it is required per the stage description to shoot 3 per target. I rarely ever shoot a 3rd shot as a "just in case" shot, whenever I shoot a 3rd round it is because I called a miss/penalty or a delta depending on the stage

Comparing the time ,HF and position ,if can be said, you are fast, and you are trying to be faster than yourself (or other reason), so the hits suffer.
