with frostfang he gets ap, cdr and an increased gold-income. A very good choice for tf, who already gets bonus gold due to his passive. So if he has at least the same farm as his enemy he still has more gold than the other midlaner.
also the active is pretty great for a tf since it will allow him to catch up to the enemies who got slowed for a follow up gold card and he can activate it incase he thinks people were ganking his midlane lol perfect item for tf
trundle support to steal stats of other tanks. in this game he could steal reksais tankyness therefore they have another tank and enemies do not. good way to play trundle ^_^
he also has insane damage down on bot lane with his q and the pillar works perfectly in teamfights as well as skirmishes between 2v2 and 3v3s down on bot lane.
