This made me feel sadder than any other fan media. Something about seeing Twilight, a normally energetic and go-getting character, feeling atomized and dogged down by human life is heart breaking. It’s like a remorseful prisoner seeing their son or daughter getting locked up for the same crime they did.

Assuming she's in college here, it actually is pretty great. I really enjoyed my time in college, and I did absolutely nothing. I didn't go to parties, I rarely went out, but I still enjoyed it. Hopefully people don't end up like Twilight here

Imagine being suddenly whisked away from your low- or no-rent house - which is also a repository for your favorite hobby - in the middle of a bustling town of several hundred other like-minded individuals, including a circle of your lifelong best friends, where you receive generous daily compensation at your job and are just a short train ride away from your personal hero and idol, who is herself the ruler of the free world and essentially a demigod, and where you have literal main character syndrome, so you get to frequently go on trips to new places and meet new people, oftentimes accumulating a lifetime's worth of memories and experiences in the space of a single year... Now, imagine that the place you wind up... is *here.* You wind up living in either a two-family home in the middle of nowhere, or a shitty one-bedroom apartment in *that* part of town, where the 'civilized' streets are more dangerous than the Everfree Forest. You're surrounded by not only nothing but strangers, but an entirely different species of them. They regard you with either patronization because you're a livestock animal to them, or with terror and hostility because you're not only sapient, you're also smarter than most of the indigenous lifeforms. Aside from you, magic - an intrinsic part of your DNA, even more fundamental than our technology - doesn't exist. Violence worse than anything you've seen across multiple 'bad ending' timelines is commonplace, and in many ways is a basic commodity/form of expression. You're not special, save for the fact that you're a living cryptid, you're paid the barest minimum for your labor, and you're separated from your friends and family by, at best, countless light-years of space, if not an entire Universe, dimension, timeline, brane, or whatever, lost and alone in a hostile, alien world. I'd be (more) horribly fucking depressed and desultory, too.
