I gotta say, I was a little skeptical - how was a jazz trio going to cover this banger of a song. But WOW I couldn't stop watching. I agree with the other comments, definitely one of the beat covers of this track, and just an amazing interpretation of a brilliant radiohead song
Love the control and dynamics in this, and those lovely little "Oscar Peterson" style runs in the middle. Very tight and well balanced performance. My third visit for this today.... I am sure I will keep coming back!
I agree, he sometimes sounds out of place, at 1:57, 2:39, at 2:49 however it feels much more in place. But take a look at 2:55-3:03 - that's a legit groove. 3:30 - ok, works with the piano improvisation, 4:50 - just like nothing special but still ok. 5:13-5:45 - out of place at all.
He might be missing an accent from the original track somewhere but he sounds pretty locked in with the bass the whole time to me...it’s just a much different interpretation of the song but I’m not sure id agree it’s out of place in relation to the other musicians here. Maybe the piano does stuff that sounds disconnected from the drums sometimes but I guess id expect that from this kind of jazzy thing
Some jazz production is purposefully produced that way. The main voice is the piano and the style of recording is live. So, some things are set back, in order to capture the feeling and in the moment aesthetic.
Arrangers really have a field day with Radiohead.
Indeed, I hope to one day get a good enough computer to record my arrangements
we do
@@MM-vs2etan…ok computer?
@@spunkylovechild that was great
Phil Selway on the piano
lol just cuz he's bald
That’s racist
And his evil twin on the bass
Wkwkwk
やっぱりか
We know the pianist nailed it, but the bass and the drums, man, what a perfect construction
This one drops a payload.
This has got to be one of the coolest radiohead covers I've had the pleasure of listening to!
Same. The arrangements are fucking sick
Danny Jenklow’s creep is on this level
Same. Check out Christopher O'Reilly's cover of Everything In Its Right Place

Such a phenomenal cover, more people need to know about this video
the vibe....... my brain is melting in the best way possible. euphoric
This is ridiculously good but I can't help but say I'm a little sad they didn't play the groovy breakout at the end of the Radiohead song.
I'm in love with this. Cannot stop replaying!
My 5th time in a row
Discovered it 3 years ago and since then I came back here about 10 times. This Version is a Classic.

assome
how can this be sub 100k views?
Drummer missing an essential accent, if not the beat entirely.

the drums are a bit too muddy.
