    Great riding and super shots......Thank you for taking all the time setting up the camera for the long shots rather than carrying the camera.....makes the best viewing pleasure......Thank you.

      Yes I agree, I get tired of POV only videos, but it is a pain filming yourself!

    man that was a cool video, liked the music too. all you need is a surfboard, tent, and a fishing pole and you are ready for anything.

    Love your videos bro. Great trails, great skills and fantastic sound tracks. A couple of friends and I ride TWs in Scotland. Your videos really showcase the bike's ability. A serious look at the Yamaha TW and beautifully displayed by a fantastic rider... Ride free my brother !!!

    Rode a TW200 in my MSF class. Had a GS500, now own a ZRX1100 and through both bikes I've been itching to supplement them with a TW200. Your vids just make that urge so much more so. Hope yours does you well for a long time to come!

      +heheani Thank you! Unfortunelty I did break the first gear wheel in the transmission and had to split the cases, and it hasn't seen much action since the. It will soon though. My other side is in need of a serious overhaul.

    Great vid. Just confirms this is the right bike for my wife and I. I have a Cagiva Gran Canyon for eating up miles, and had a Ducati 900SS for scratching the speed itch. Now with 600 acres to play on in south/central WA, time for something like this. Terrain from rough fire roads to deer paths, from gently sloping grass to cliff faces. Never been into blasting over whoops a-la motocross, just looking to go explore the land.

    • @ShaneDonogh
      @ShaneDonogh  6 років тому

      Wow that sounds awesome! Yeah its a great bike for exploring. Enough power to get you up some difficult terrain but not too much to get you in trouble. Sounds like an epic spot you got! Need a trail builder?

    Do you think the XT250 Duel Sport Yamaha would be just as good of a bike. I'm just not so sure about the fatty tires. In my youth I've ridden a lot... deep sand river riding, hill climbing, and single track trails. I'm wanting a bike to explore... pleasure riding jeep trails... kind of thing. Too the xt250's are fuel injected so no issues in high altitude. And the WR is even water cooled and 6 gears. I know the cost is higher, but not that much. I guess my question today is... if you were to purchase a duel sport bike today... would your choice still be the 200 fat tire? Assuming cost wasn't much of a issue... and the other two models Yamaha offers both have a tad bit larger engine? Good Video !

      +Steven Teel Thank you Steven! Y'know, I was told it has a 16 tooth front sprocket but haven't actually checked. First gear is a little bit high, but has a good top speed. They're super fun bikes. Cant wait to be back on mine!

    That was a great video! Very enjoyable, good shots and very good editing. So obviously you've got off-road chops. This can't be your only bike, or perhaps you used to ride off-road and now just play on the TW. If it's the latter, I get it... Finances or life situation could certainly cause one to grasp the meme "It's more fun to go fast on a slow bike than it is to go slow on a fast bike..." Whatever it is, I'm an experienced off-roader and can tell an experienced rider. Did (do?) you ride trials? Or good old fashioned off-road on a dirt bike? Anyhow, thanks for the upload and the several minutes of great entertainment!

    • @ShaneDonogh
      @ShaneDonogh  9 років тому +3

      +gncc1race Thanks so much! I've been riding offered since I was 5. My other, dirt only bike, is a 09 KTM XCW 300, but it doesn't get ridden nearly as much these days, due to time basically. Thats why I ride the trails to and from work, on the TW or XT. Although I do agree with the sentiment of 'more fun to go fast on a slow bike'. You really feel like your pushing it on TW200 when your tapped out, but in reality your going perfectly safe speed, haha.
      My parents were trials riders and I grew up riding their old TY250's, and I did ride trials for a while in high school on a 92 gas gas, it taught me a lot! Regret ever selling it, but I will have another one of these days! I've been really wanting to get into vintage trials comp's as well lately.

    I wanted to say two things:
    1) I had been on the fence about a TW200 for a while and your two vids played a small but pivotal role in selling me on it
    2) what are those birds in your vids and what's wrong with them? are they some sort of, idk, grouse that all just hate motorcycles and also lack a fear response?

    • @ShaneDonogh
      @ShaneDonogh  6 років тому

      They are a Grouse, and yeah, they like to protect their territory and will come right up to you to scare you away when you get in their space, pretty funny.

    • @ShaneDonogh
      @ShaneDonogh  9 років тому

      +Nels Marcussen Appreciate that. I myself get tired of watching POV vids, because it never shows how steep or technical the trail is. But it is a lot easier to film POV videos! Hence why I haven't done a all bike video in a while.

      I never really measure, but I keep them pretty firm most of the time as I drive on a 55mph highway to get there.
