I am also from the Surabhi generation...and Renuka's smile was intoxicating...loved this programme...nowadays style and class is missing.👍👌

Siddharth after so many years I've seen Mr Kak. Surbhi Days were Amazing and so was the Programme.
Just brought back all memories of 1994-95. Pure nostalgia! Never ever will those times return. Beautiful program and era.

Fantastic interview this was, Siddarth. Like he said, that was the golden age of DD. So many serials of world renowned writers and such calm and restrained acting they carried. And Renuka Shahane. What to say! Such a charming presence she was.

1 baat maine har super-duper hit movie ya show ke baare mein mark kari hai. And this is almost always the case.... When you ask the makers or actors of movies like sholay or shows like surbhi(I'm just giving an example), whether they expected their movie/show to be such a massive, phenomenal success... And their answer is always like 'NO'... Things worked out spontaneously and organically on their own. We just were giving our absolute best! I am so sure, this thing is true for so many super hit movies or shows out there. When your content hits the mass audience at the right spot, that content becomes evergreen. Surabhi was such a brilliant show... For the first time, we had a show which stressed out the importance of our magnificent Indian culture and India as a whole, it's traditions, it's places, the enormity of the various cultures we have in a single nation, and this show depicted all this in a very beautiful and exploratory manner... Golden times indeed! Gen Z can never understand this.
Those days ... my god bringing in memories almost nearly fading now... suddenly you bring in people their stories their journey and everything starts unwinding again...

Before watching the episode I'm commenting today...it's such a GREAT pleasure to see Siddharth sir after sooooooo long..I still remember that every single episode of Surbhi was never given a miss by my parents as I was way too young to watch n like it..But still I remember if accidentally I would see him on screen he used to give that good relative vibes as if he's one of those chacha mama or someone 😊😊😊Surbhi n Bharat ek khoj are two shows that I've not watched but heard REGULARLY every episode 😂😂
