SO happy with bringing back traditional dining - it will make our upcoming trips far less stressful! We like a private table, same table, same waiter - no waiting!
I would ask all of you guys to share a few seconds of video showing wheelchair accessible spaces. Like any ramps on the ships, wheelchair space in the entertainment areas and theater. Anything that might be an obstacle or anything that might encourage us to use or avoid a ship. Simple things like the hand washing stations can a person in a self propelled wheelchair have space under the sink so they can move close enough, accessible bathrooms and so on. 😊thank you
yeah but you dont get to actually step foot on Antarctica with princess. its just "scenic cruising" if you dont actually set foot on the continent, then you didn't actually go to Antarctica in my book!
I think this a good move for Princess. I would think it will satisfy all the dining personalities. And I think it will help alleviate the confusion that I've observed with the dining crew with reservations.
Enjoy your cruise this July! Wish we were going with you! Thanks for all your information! We love cruising with Princess and are thinking about New England next.
We love same time, same table reservations, but 5:00 is too early and 7:30 is much too late. So how do we get a same time, same table reservation for 6:00pm?
Just received from Princess re: Sept 7th sailing Quebec City to Boston on Emerald Princess please be advised that due to cruise ship congestion in Halifax, Canada, Emerald Princess will now be at anchor for the call on Friday, September 13 rather than at berth as previously scheduled. A water shuttle service will be available to take you ashore and back to the ship
I love that you understand how important those dining reservations are to some cruisers! You get it! I had just finished saying to hubby that if I had already made dining reservations & they were canceled, AND I had to wait until June to re-book, I would not be happy. Then, you said the same thing!😅
I am really enjoying your content on Princess since we have made the leap from Celebrity back to Princess. We're very excited to be doing a 51 day cruise on Majestic this December from Los Angeles around the full of South America and back to Fort Lauderdale. I only wish they had included Antarctica as well but I shall keep it on my bucket list and look to doing it another time. Thanks Alison for providing us with all the cruise news in such a positive way!

We are currently on the Sun Princess. There are sometimes long lines for the Reserve Collection restaurant. However, there are never any lines for the Signature Collection restaurant at any time of the day.
Question on the New dining options : Will it be possible to select Traditional Dining and vary the times each day? I like the idea of same table, same staff (in general) but port schedule may dictate early one day, late another. We are currently booked to do MDR at 7PM in August (before the change) every night except the two specialty dining nights. I know my initial question may fit the new "Reservation" dining but that would might not get me the same table, same staff since PCL is stating one MDR per dining style.
We are 1st time Princess cruisers, so our cruise is Nov 2 when can we make our reservations for our cruise ??? I love Traditional dining, did you say only 5 & 7pm earlier the better for me..

Hi Alison we will be on the regal princess in November and the dining reservations I made are still there but I will keep an eye out for the cancellations. Thank you so much for all your informative videos 😊
I think the Princess dining reservation options are fantastic! All of these options should check boxes to meet everyone's dining needs. Bravo, Princess!!
My app says we have to pay in full before we can do anything about dining reservations. So not for everyone on June 17th. Unless I am missing something.
We are on the British Isles cruise with you and have our dining booked, which nights are we dining with the group? We would like to switch to dine with you those nights. We generally like early dining because we love going to the shows.
We are on the Caribbean princess, October 8th-20th. All our dining reservations are still shown on the App. We still can't book dining for the Sun, July 2nd-20th sailing, hopefully on the 17th.
We already made our reservations, booking, for Antarctica. January 21,2025. And I booked my dining. Has not been deleted. I’m going to talk to my TA and get it rebooked it to get that OBC. Love your blogs. ❤

Hi Alison we are on the Discovery Princess from Seattle inside passage to Alaska next September , what can we expect to see and what’s the weather like at that time of the year please ? We are also on the Sun Princess next summer so we were interested to hear about the change in dining times . Do you know how and when you book Spellbound? x
We are booked on the Discovery Princess for a Mexican riviera cruise in November 2024 and have already made our dinner reservations for 6pm and they haven't been canceled as of yet 04/15/24.
we just finished a 10 day cruise on the Sun Princess and we usually do the anytime dining BUT when we would go down to dinner, there never was an available table, (even just for the 2 of us) so we had to book the only time available which was 5pm (we didn't make 2 days because like you said our excursions ran longer those days) Now with this being said we really enjoyed a set time and table/waiter so we will continue to do this for our future cruise, but we will just reserve a little later time.
Thx Allison. I do not have a cruise booked after June 2024, so the new dining arrangements do not affect me yet. But I do not like the sound of it as we are usually booked in the flex dining times. Then we book a time, around 7 pm. But sometimes we are running late and so then show up late after trying to phone to cxl our time. So this new thing is a bit awkward. Thx for the heads up on the booking window for the S. America itineraries.
We're glad our cruise is June 15th and not affected by this change. We actually picked the same time each day in alternating restaurants for the experience so basically early seating.
Thank you for the information. We aren't sailing until January 20, 2025 and our dining reservations are still showing up in the app. We will be on the Coral again :) but she only has two dining rooms. Wonder how they will be designated. The Bordeaux (deck 5) dining room already has a portion roped off for the Suites and Upgraded Mini-Suites, so the other amount of available tables are reduced. We love a 8:00pm dining time with the same table, same waiters etc. for two. Will we be forced to show up at 7:00pm if we want the Traditional Dining second seating?
My dining reservations for my October 5 cruise were still on the app. Do you know if they’re going to make the any time dining the American style option like on the Sun Princess?
Would love to hear more abou the Reserve Dining Room on Sun Princess; one of the main reasons that I book that category room is for the no wait idea dinning and the extra menu perks. I also think that these new dinning changes are going to be a positive for Princess guests and crew.
Yep. Just got the news in my app about the new dining options. We’re going on Grand Princess to Alaska next year and they’re doing the new dining even on that older ship. All of the reservations we booked in advance got deleted today, Monday. Poof! LOL.
Wonder if the Princess App will be able to handle the load when everyone with cruises after September 14th tries to book dining reservations on June 17th. Hope it all works well.
I’ve not cruised on one of these mega ships and don’t think I want to. I prefer small ship cruises partly because there are seldom waiting lines for meals.
Just a quick question we are ecstatic that we will finally have the opportunity to go back to traditional as we enjoy that the most, and we do have several cruises still booked and nothing has been deleted yet, but what we are wondering is if you recall on the Sun Princess what the traditional dining times were For example, was it five and 730 or what? I don’t know if the other ships in the fleet will be the same but it would be a good sampling.
We have a mini suite--do mini suite people still have their own dining area on discovery princess and be able to go whenever they want or do you now need reservations there????
If you have a Reserve Collection Mini suite booking, I believe nothing changes for you. You go when you're ready. If you have a general Mini suite booking, likely the changes will apply to you. That is my understanding. If in doubt I recommend calling your travel agent to confirm.
I just checked and our November ones are still there. I wish they would take a look at the reservations and if they see that someone has booked 5pm each night in the one dining room then they get the idea that this person would like traditional dining so they adjust their booking to whichever room is going to be the traditional setting. It would sure save the panic come June 17th when everybody is trying to rebook.
I'm sure they have an adjustment in mind; basically just proportion areas based on demand and treat two dining rooms as three different areas. Thanks for watching!
