- Celebrating the spirit of the season by taking on an enormous home challenge from KFC! In Japan, a bucket of KFC's fried chicken is a Christmas dinner tradition - so I decided to bring that tradition back to the states and turn it into a Christmas food challenge! I gave myself just one hour to finish an 8 piece Original Recipe Chicken bucket, 1 Family Sized Cole Slaw, 1 Family Sized Mac N Cheese, 1 Family Sized Potatoes w/ Gravy, and 4 biscuits!!!

When I lived in Japan on the beach, I stopped and picked up some KFC. They forgot to put the biscuits into my order, and I called them to let them know, I didn't really care, but a few minutes later they showed up at my home with my biscuits. keep in mind this is before any food deliveries like we have today. It is all about customer service in Japan.

Have to admit I love the extra crispy. Years ago when they came out with honey bbq wings I ate my share. Haven’t been to KFC in a long time. I’ll have to visit them again.
They had spicy crispy for a minute. It was amazing.
But.. I’m old. Original was the first I had.
It’s not the same today.
Yum brands changed the recipe to avoid paying royalties to Harlan sanders heirs.
I love just being with my family and us having a great meal together, just love it all!

You can tell how tiny Katina is by how big the containers and the chicken pieces are next to her. I stumbled onto this whole eating challenge stuff not long ago from watching Atlas taking them down. Now I cant stop watching Katina take them down with her small frame.

I literally watch this before I go to sleep the way she eats all the food so satisfying to look at Christmas best time for food but doesn’t override thanksgiving can’t wait until she do a thanksgiving feast !!😝
I have respect for original recipe, but, I prefer the extra crispy. In my opinion, the combination of soft juicy chicken and super crispy skin is heaven. Merry Christmas to you and your boo!!!

Yep I love their coleslaw. Only coleslaw I ever liked better was back in the day when chick fil a had it.
I haven’t had kfc in forever. I don’t eat fast food often other than a very rare cheat meal. And… it’s usually about 15 bucks worth of Taco Bell. I was thinking I was going to do Krystals for my next one. However they just tore it down and there isn’t one remotely close. So I guess kfc is going to be it for next cheat meal.
That coleslaw from kfc is good. Applebee's. Has a good slaw. But red lobster is the best too me the celery seeds makes the differents.
coleslaw at KFC and many fast food joints just taste like the average watery grocery store shit

I used to work for KFC therefore I know what goes into the food they make original recipes dipped in the coating and batter only once stir macaroni and cheese is made from a bag as well as the potatoes the only thing that's naturally physically processed is the coleslaw the even the sauce for the coleslaw comes out of the bag
In my opinion…..KFC coleslaw is the good standard.
They actually make it fresh daily, never out of a bucket!

Unless your KFC doesn't sell as much coleslaw as my KFC. They might (and they shouldn't) keep it and sell it for the next day.

If you have never done a food challenge at in&out, you should. Their burgers are sooo good and their fries also. You can order as many patties as you want. Shakes are great too.

Sometimes I go to KFC just for the coleslaw and I love dipping my Xtra crispy chicken in the potatoes and gravy. Merry Christmas you guys

@@Guyver09 I like it, but with chicken, I wouldn't just eat the coleslaw by itself like she did. For me every fork load should have chicken, coleslaw and fries, and gravy.
Being English, I would have treated those "biscuits " like scones and have jam and clotted cream on them. Yum.
You learn something new everyday.. At least you don't have to cook Christmas dinner all day. Just order a KFC. Simple! We don't have the biscuits in England which is a shame. They look delicious. Have a wonder Christmas with Randy, family and friends. Stay safe and happy. X

Hey Katina!! that is one of my favorite meals I get the exact same thing when I can afford it.. my guess is you spent about 35 bucks.. that's about what it normally cost for three people here at our house.. however that being said, the last time I went and got KFC Friday payday.. the side dishes were barely half full..!! And the eight piece dark meat I got had four chicken wings 2 legs and 2 thighs 😤😤😤!! You obviously go to a store that cares about repeat customers!! Love to see it!!! 👍👍👍🍻🍻

KFC is such a big thing at Christmas in Japan that you need to preorder your meal weeks in advance to have any chance of getting it! 🍗🎄🎅 I hope you and Randy have a wonderful Christmas!
In my country Kenya KFC doesn't usually have lots of people since it's a time where families meet and cook together and spend time together

My son was studying abroad at a university in Japan over Christmas last year. 4 or 5 of his friends were supposed to fly over there for Christmas from Indiana but we had bad weather and their flights all got canceled. My son had made reservations at a KFC in Tokyo for all of them and then ended up having to spend Christmas alone. I had not known it was a thing in Japan to eat there for Christmas until then.
You should eat the biscuits with the cole slaw and chicken, it's the best! And a lot easier than eating all the biscuits by themselves.

I know they're instant mashed potatoes but KFC's mashed potatoes are untouchable! Popeyes has better chicken than all the rest though.

I have to say being born and raised in Kentucky I love this one. In ky our KFC's have buffets, and I have seen hog heads at the buffet eat like this. You girl would fit in back home 😂

Next time you do KFC you gotta scoop the slaw and taters & gravy together with the biscuit 😋 even better if you let the biscuit soak up some of the slaw juice first, then scoop slaw and taters. Sooooo good. Also try the honey on the chicken 🤤
This is the only challenge I could beat Katina at. I'm not kidding. Of course I would have a coronary immediately after so I'm thinking that's not a win.

Original is best and the mash and slaw go well together as a meal. I enjoy sweet tea and the other drinks from kfc is bomb. I love the sodas they offer especially fruit punch though not carbonated delicious.

You can keep the drink bag and reuse it as an ice pack. Good for putting food on, inside a cooler; for any camping/beach/party event.

Biscuits and honey is the best!!! Reminds me of my grandma. Sometimes we leave KFC Biscuits and honey at her grave stone because the cemetery where she is buried has a ton of deer and grandma would have tried to feed them, so now she does.
