We took a few Road trips, we even cruised up to his marae (ngapuhi) and that's why I like this song. It takes me back to that road trip, where we stayed the night at his marae (up north) it was great, didn't get much sleep because of the snoring, but I was impressed with the hospitality extended to anyone who belonged to his tribe. And my old mate treated me like his brother. I can only remember being straight once around him. I think that was when I was his best man at his wedding. We was big into herbs, ahem. We were almost like family. So this is for you Charlie. Ka kite (your white brother from another mother). Until we meet again brother.
