This is the first tutorial out of many I've watched where I finally understood all the flippy stuff you do with the wasteband! It all finally made sense! Thanks for that!
She sewed the skirt to one side of the waist band, right sides together. Then, when the skirt ended, she folded the waist band itself right sides together and continued sewing until the end. Because the long sides of the waist band fabric was sewn together only when the skirt ended, one side of the waist band strap "tube" is left open which lets you flip the band inside out so the seam is inside

Very enjoyable tutorial. I did wonder about the measurements when you did the second shaping on the skirt front - could you offer any information about how much you cut off and to what distance along the hemline? Thank you for any guidance you may have.

Thank you very much I think I can do this the skirts are awesome and I loved the palazzo pants I want to make these for my daughter she wears 3-5 would that be about the sizes you make because you look small like her ? Thanks for any help or advice o would so appreciate I’m a quilter mainly but have been working on learning some clothes like pjs and skirts .
