When Leafpool has her kits, Squirrelflight agrees to claim and raise them as her own, both cats agreeing to take the secret to their graves. Unfortunately, Ashfur obsesses over Squirrelflight, and starts a fire in the camp to threaten her kits and convince her to leave Bramblestar for him. Not only does Squirrelflight refuse, but she defends her kits with her claws, still refusing to spill her and her sister's secret.
In the battle, Ashfur is crushed by a tree, made unstable by the raging flames. He pleads out to Squirrelflight for her help, only for her to turn away from him, leaving him to perish in the flames as she takes the kits to safety.
It is only when the kits are grown that Ashfur reveals Squirrelflight's actions that day, speaking to Jayfeather in a dream. Jayfeather is appalled that his mother would leave a clanmate to die, and reveals this fact to not only his siblings, but the clan as a whole.
Bramblestar, stressed from leader duties already, faints, which gives Ashfur the opening he needs to possess Bramblestar's body. Once in his body, Ashfur takes revenge on Squirrelflight, using Bramblestar's strength to throw her off of the highrock, killing her on impact. Ashfur then leaves the scene, not knowing he was being followed by a very angry and vengeful Hollyleaf, who wants to avenge her mother.

I don't think I have the words to explain how proud I am of this map and everyone who participated,,,, I never imagined that my silly Ghost-themed warrior cat map would garner such a positive response, so thank you all, from the bottom of my heart ❤❤❤
Also yes, the story is going to be continued!! I need to take a small break as I am quite burnt out, but I would love to make a sequel map to tie up some of the things teased about in the credits!

I AM OBSESSED WITH THESE DESIGNS, THE ONE ON ASHFUR'S FACE TO REPRESENT THE SINGER'S MAKEUP, THE CROSS MARKINGS ON LEAFPOOL AND SQUILF!!! THIS IS CHEF'S KISS
I just had that click for me like a minute ago! I love Ashfur's face markings too! I saw a Ghost concert live just a week ago which is what got me into the band,
Also Jayfeathers pupils are crosses!
BrambleStar has a cross marking on his tail too!
And hollyleaf has crosses under her eyes! 1:55
squirrelflight has a cross on her back thigh, bramblestar oh his forehead, i see crosses everywhere!
I love that with the AU it seems that Hollyleaf is the only one who knew the actual truth about the fire scene, how Ashfur was left to die because he actively tried to murder Squilf and her kits. It seems like Ashfur only mentioned the part of being left behind at the fire and not his actions before that, manipulating Jayfeather because he yknow couldn’t see what actually happened. It makes it understandable for Hollyleaf to then attack Ashfur because he knows what he actually did and like in the description, she wanted to avenge her mother. It’s so well thought out with Ashfur treatment of Squilf and the kits, and I love the idea of the fire scene happening much earlier in their life and being caused by Ashfur. It just AG all of the parts were filled with emotion and it is truly a work of art

I think it’s a more interesting idea that Hollyleaf doesn’t know the full story and that Bramblestar is an impostor. It compliments her character, painting her as cold, decisive, and vengeful. With this idea, Hollyleaf knowingly murdered “Bramblestar,” her leader and as far as she knew, her father, without hardly a second thought.
Not only that, but it also sets up a scene for the truth to be revealed, where Hollyleaf is confronted with the fact that Ashfur was actually the killer, that she dealt justice prematurely, and now her action cannot be undone. We all saw how hard it was to convince anyone in TBC that Bramblestar was an impostor, but imagine trying to do so as a guilty murderer?
Not only that, but we’ve also entered a situation similar to ASC, where both the deputy and leader are dead, and no chain of succession can be followed. As we also saw, Hawkfrost’s spirit is still in existence, so he and Ashfur are still up to influence the living world. Whatever’s next for the clans I cannot say, I only know it will be a tough time.
So Holly not only kills Ashfur at that moment but also likely Bramblestar, who basically raised them along with Squirrelflight. As a result, both end up dead, which makes it even more tragic overall.
did anyone realise that squilf was carrying a dead crow? (I think) That could symbolise the fact that these are crowfeather's kits? Just an idea

I JUST REALISED WHEN ASHFUR POSSESSED BRAMBLESTAR THE CROSS TURNED UPSIDE DOWN (for people that don’t know crosses keep demons away but when they are flipped upside down they attract demons)

Technically false it’s just a horror movie thing. When a cross is flipped it means nothing it’s just a horror thing. The first person who did it (I think in the Bible) meant to symbolize respect to God by flipping it upside down. Fact check me. :3
@Lesfideles1 it's called the Cross of Saint Peter, but yes in the Bible one of Jesus' Disciples was put to death to the cross but he didn't feel worthy to die like he [Jesus] did so he requested to be hung upside down, where the upside down cross comes from (correct me if I'm wrong)

@@wolfiathesavage268 That is where it originates from. And to add to this, the only Satanic symbolism, aside from symbols adapted by say The Church Of Satan and The Satanic Temple, is an inverted Crucifix because it takes something holy and reverses its meaning.
When interpreting this song as someone feeling they’ve been unfairly persecuted and not, you know, sex, it fits Squirrelflight very well.

In all seriousness, amazing map, I how how right before Ashfur dies, when he looks at the blood on his paw, his paw pads look like a heart with the steak of blood going through it, amazing little detail.
Also I’m totally laughing imagining Ashfur talking to Jayfeather and being like “so we where talking in a fire-“ “wait, why in the word where you guys talking in a fire?”, “uhhhhh no reasoooon.”

One detail I really like is when Squirrelflight clawed Ashfur, his blood on her paw dropped on to Hollyleaf. I love the foreshadowing >:)

I don’t think I’ve rewatched a Warriors MAP as many times as this one, it’s so good! Not only the music choice, but the art styles, the designs! The story structure is so well done, it tells a compelling and understandable plot with exciting moments! As well as other minor details such as the cross symbolism on Bramblestar’s forehead, or Ashfur killing the squirrel, all just a cherry on top of an already amazing product.
This is definitely among my top 10 favorite Warriors MAPs of all time, I will be coming back again.
My fav part was 2:04-2:06! I love the murderous blood on his face for some reason and him seeing it to unleash the claws. I’m a huge Ashfur fan and I love this map!

As a Ghost fan and Warrior Cats fan....i love this! I like how Ashfur resembles Papa Emeritus a bit in his design which is cool.

By far my fav AU of Ashfur and the designs are AMAZING I like how there are crosses on the markigs and Ashfur being killed by Hollyleaf in Brambleclaw’s body is something I never thought of plus I love Ghost so much and this is my fav song from them

Gotta love how Ashfur’s tears are black like he’s earring makeup, it just gives him this over dramatic emo feel and I love.
This is VERY creative, and everyone did an AMAZING job! I love the cross shapes in the cats' fur, and the crosses in Jaykit's eyes. I also love when Ashfur wiped the blood off his fur, like a moment of realization. Everyone is phenomenal!
being a fan of ghost and seeing this video, made me tear up with happyness you even got tobias's makeup and little hints of ghost bands signiture cross in it, we need more of these types of videos, makes my day to have watched this early(ish). well done to the animators! well done

ITS FINISHED!! love all the animations and the charecter designs!!! the AU is actually a really well written one, and one that makes a lot of sense! 3:28-3:31, the movement and lypsync is gorgeous and Holly’s paws are so smooth at 4:12!! every animator did amazing!!!

That was awesome the religious undertones were perfect, showing that bramblestar, squirrelflight, Jayfeather, and (I forgot his name somehow) are Cristian, but you dont see anything on ashfur, the closest is how the ashfur is all black and his face is white So I would guess hes an atheist. And then when he possesses Bramblestar all of the crosses are upsidedown in a hint that ashfur was always against starclan/Christianity or again an atheist. Overall a major W, I love this AU.

Warrior cats is such a unique series! I haven’t read much of the books, only a few.. but I have been a fan for a long time since I was little. And I could never find any of the books.. that’s why I never have read a lot lol-

I remember seeing so many of the parts appear in my UA-cam. I’m so happy to finally have seen this project completed. The animation of every part looks absolutely stunning and the story is wonderful!
I don't think I've seen any of the individual parts for this map beforehand but I'm so so happy youtube recommended me this and has done so this early - this project turned out really, REALLY amazing!! I adore the whole concept of this map, the song choice, the designs which compliment said song and the whole AU idea is really solid:] That being said, the execution of it is just as great and if any participant happens to read this comment, then know that you did a fantastic job bringing this map to life, all of you are so skilled!!
