John Entwistle just doesn't give a flying f**k. Everyone else is jumping and screaming around him, and he's just standing there in the back, calmly looking up and down. The greatest bassist to ever walk and he just casually accepts it.
That's just the Ox for you, he just laid down a solid beat and ran with it
He was the anchor in the middle of the storm.
Yes
The bassist is always the chill, laid back one
Nah James Jamerson's better
You know you're an awesome band when a song like "Won't Get Fooled Again" isn't even your number one.
Thanks for including "A Quick One While He's Away" on the list. Always one of my favorites.
I agree
The Who. The official band of the World Heath Organisation.
🤣🤣🤣
Yes
Didn’t they do well for us with COVID - oh WHO - accepting all the $ from China that you can 😍
@@jamesw.blatch1584 WHO did that

No ones gonna believe this but I saw them live at Wembley about 2 years ago now. The roof was open and this song started playing. All of a sudden it started raining as he sang “love rain o’er me”. It was a truly magical moment. Never forget
Wow!!! What a memory!
No worlds about Entwistle bass solo on My generation ?
Entwistle is king!!
They left it out. I might unsubscribe.
THUNDERFINGERS!!!!!!!!
Seriously
That was magic
The Who is my favourite band and I could put every song at #1. The ones left that are very important are: Substitute, The Song Is Over, Bargain, Pictures Of Lily, The Kids Are Alright, 5:15, Athena, Happy Jack, and why the disc "By numbers" doesn't get any love? Squeeze Box, However Much I booze, Dreaming from the waidt and my favourite.. Success Story..
I really liked slip kid.
Erectile Milk Slip Kid was awesome.
Tele Player Great song indeed!
There was too much rock on the list. They probably couldn't get hold of decent live video of them doing Substitute or Pictures of Lily. These were great Who songs.
bargain was awsome

LSH Fifa what do you think of Athena? You better you bet, see my way and Armenia city in the sky? There some of my favourite Who tracks.
Pretty fair list tbh
The Seeker!
@@airtempest8945 i actually went in october just before covid struck and it was an awesome experience
YOU LEFT OUT MY GENERATION'S BASSLINE!!!!

You think we look pretty good together!!!
Yeaaa
The Who is the greatest rock band. Best song is Won't get fooled again.
Honestly I don't know how they didn't count that?

6.) Happy Jack
5.) I Can See For Miles
4.) Bargain
3.) Wont Get Fooled Again
2.) Who Are You
1.) Baba O’ Riley
Not in order
Nice you included some of their earlier songs like can't explain. There's even a few more that I would list not so much because they were great songs but how they affected me growing up.
'Substitute ' probably had to be in the top 10. Such a distinctive opening riff.
Here are my favorites by The Who:
Wont Get Fooled Again
Who Are You
Behind Blue Eyes
Baba O' Riley
Pinball Wizard
Same, just Bargain instead of Who Are You, and a different order
You know pinball wizard got a cover by Elton John
Behind blue eyes is my favorite, it has so much emotion.
This is everybody's favorite the who songs
Nice to see a man of similar taste
Basically, one of the greatest bands....EVER that none of these modern day bands can ever live up to.
"Out in the Street" is a very good song, highly underrated / overlooked, should be an honourable mention at least.
Team, I feel the same way about, "Love ain't for keeping"
I think "My Generation" should have gotten top pick considering how listening to it once you'll never forget it and NEVER stop singing it. :D
That’s definitely their best and most definitive song and most major contribution to music.
You know a song I would have loved to see as an honourable mention at least? Boris The Spider. That song is hilarious.
My dad used to sing it to me when I was little & it's one of the most vivid memories of my childhood!
look who's crawling up above my wall...
Black and hairy very smaaaaaall
now he's up above my heeeead
Brilliant bassline as well
I would have put 'Won't get fooled again' at number one, that song is a masterpiece. You should have also at least included 'Substitute' in there somewhere.
You Forgot The Song is Extremely Bad ass!!!
The only Watchmojo video worth watching.

But baba o'reilly gives me chills everytime
"A Quick One, While He's Away" is the greatest rock and roll song of all time. So glad it's on here.
The rock'n'roll circus and Live at leeds versions are imo even better than the studio version. Great song.
You're forgiven, forgiven, forgiven...
I missed Substitute, You better, You better, You bet, I'm one, Bargain, My Wife, 5:15
But I liked the list.
The best rock'n'roll group ever!
you better, you better was pete townsend solo wasnt it? and yes 515 and substitute for sure.
no, You Better You Bet was The Who, it was just without Keith Moon. But it's not their best song ever.
x1StapleGun But it's not bad. While it's also not one of their best, one of my personal favorites is "Another Tricky Day".
You're a true who fan they have so many songs it's hard to pick your own
The Seeker
oh yes...
Definitely
The Who are my favorite band. I could easily write a Top 50 list, but I'll keep it short:
1. Love Reign O'er Me
2. The Real Me
3. The Quiet One
4. Behind Blue Eyes
5. Slip Kid
6. My Generation
7. Substitute
8. Bargain
9. Won't Get Fooled Again
10. Baba O'Reily
Honorable Mentions:
The Song Is Over; My Wife; See Me, Feel Me; Who Are You; Bell Boy
Right on, William. I'm right there with your list. I can't believe "Slip Kid" didn't at least get an honorable mention.
Very impressed that A Quick One made this list - Bravo!
There should have been more Quadrophenia songs in the top ten. 5:15, Doctor Jimmy, It is by far their best album IMO
Also Substitute, I can't explain and Magic Bus
I miss John so much, The Who haven’t been the same without him
Absolutely awesome, the top 10, difficult to say as all their songs are great. I was lucky enough to see them live in 1965 but they went on to greater things after that. The best rock band ever in my opinion and my all time favourite. What miracle was it that brought these four geniuses of rock together and gel perfectly to create and produce some of the greatest rock music ever.
Where was Substitute??? Not even a mention, that's a classic. My top 10 are probably
1. Behind blue eyes
2. Substitute
3. Baba O Riley
4. Won't get fooled again
5. Who are you
6. Pinball Wizard
7. 5:15
8. My generation
9. The kids are alright
10. I can't explain
Good video, thanks. And to end it on a note erm.........
YYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Wow a list without The Seeker or I can see for miles! No.1 and 2 for me.
Clearly a list compiled by someone with no real knowledge of the history of the Who.
7. I Can See For Miles

I'd put won't get fooled again higher but I respect your opinion.
Would also include i can see for miles
Johan Liebert Yeah I would now put Won't Get Fooled Again higher too, my opinion has changed since then. That would probably #3 now. And with I can see for miles, that would probably be about #8 now.
BORIS THE SPIDER (dun dun dun dun dun dun dun)
Creepy crawly creepy crawly creepy creepy crawly crawly creepy Creepy crawly crawly creepy crawly

Jeremy it Seems, you're totally right! Look who's crawling up my wall.
Michelle Murday wow this comment was forever ago!
**ahem**
Bargain.
Well, I'm an Enneagram Four; Bargain is about the clearest type 4 mission statement I've heard (4w3; I'm a 4w5. .
The difference: 4w3 - Neil Young, Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Kurt Cobhain, Jimi, Prince, Michael Jackson, Jim Morrison, Judy Collins, Van Gogh, Kevin Gilbert. 4w5: Joni Mitchell, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen, The Edge, Van Morrison, Goethe, Liam Neeson, Edward Gorey, Emily Dickinson

7. a quick one, while he's away
8. my generation
9. the real me
10. won't get fooled again
Baba O’Riley is too short of a song but it is literally flawless and so eye watering. This could easily be a 20 minute prog classic if work was put into it. Yes - Roundabout needs to be longer also
Allegedly there's a 30-minute version of Pete's instrumental demo of "Baba O'Riley" that's never been released.
This is the best list Watch Mojo has ever done.
Nathan Robinson where is substitute
bruh they didnt even put subsitute on the list or even a honorable mention
I love The Who so damn much
U should make a part 2
Baba O'Rielly isn't only the greatest Who song, it may be the greatest song ever.
Fucking A.
Watch Mojo said that Stairway To Heaven is the best song ever. You’re wrong.
Psychobeef They said it was the most iconic, not best.
fair song
You are correct. There are only a few better than it, if any.

Can't be a top 10 who song unless Keith is on drums
I hate when people comment on these top 10 videos, requesting a different top 10 list.
So happy Baba O'riley was #1 =D
I hate when people comment what is #1.
Comments are meant to open discussions and ideas regarding the video being displayed. By common sense, you're supposed to read them AFTER you're done watching the video. It's called "comment about the video", not "read the user's opinions then compare them with the video."
I made this comment while watching both, video and comment section, but this is a top 10 video and by reading your comment it made no sense for me to keep watching it.
Its no common sense. Everyone can see whatever they want whenever they want. If I like to see the comment section first I see no problem with that.
Oh god, get a life --->
bremex well thanks, I didn't watch the video before reading this but I guess it's my fault. No offense like ALPHOMO over here :(
My top 10!
10. Eyesight to the Blind (The Hawker)9. My Generation8. Who Are You?7. 19216. Christmas5. Love, Reign O'er Me4. Baba O'Riley3. Cousin Kevin2. Won't Get Fooled Again1. A Quick One, While He's Away
I'm sorry, but I love the album Tommy a lot. Lol!
They all look like great characters for a sitcom
I was lucky enough to see the who twice both when I was 11. I'm eleven now.
Thanks for that :D
Fuck that im 15, never ever seen them in my life. Even when i lived in England. What hope do i have now in Canada. Yet, ive spoken to townshend before i saw him on the street in London back in 2007.
***** Actually, he should have said "I'm still eleven."
youre a lucky kid, lets hope you see them many more times
Damn, I got right in front of my eyes the CSI intro when the no.1 song came in.
1) Baba O Riley (agreed) 2) Bargain 3) See me Fee me 4) Love Reign Oer Me 5) Who Are You 6) Pinball Wizard 7) A Quick One 8) My Generation 9) Join Together 10) Eminence Front Many honorables: Behind Blue Eyes, We're Not Going to Take It, Going Mobile, Won't Get Fooled Again, Naked Eye, Can't Explain Basically, your list is within my list (with my honorables) So many great songs to choose from!
My top 10. 10. You better,you bet 9. Love reign o'er me 8. Heaven and Hell 7. Happy jack 6.Pictures of Lily 5.Amazing journey 4. A quick one while he's away 3. I'm free 2. The seeker 1. Young man's blues
As a hardcore Who fan, I have to say that I thought it was a pretty good list! It picked most of the favorites of the general public. I was prepared to mad if Baba O'Riley and Won't Get Fooled Again weren't #1 &2 and I wasn't disappointed!
A few of my personal favorites are Anyway, Anyhow, Anywhere, which was the first Who song where they showed their own identity as a band, incorporating feedback and the sort of "controlled chaos" style they became known for. 5:15 is probably my favorite song from Quadrophenia and I like Substitute a lot because of Moon's drum fill and because Townshend wrote it to express his feelings of inadequacy as a song writer.
Top 10 Eric Clapton Songs
10: Helpless Dancer 9: Behind Blue Eyes8: I can see for miles7: The Real me6: Bell Boy5: Wont get Fooled again4: Baba O'Reilly 3: The Dirty Jobs2: My generation1: 5:15make a fucking top 20 rather top 30 for the best rock and roll band to have ever lived.
Thanks for uploading this, they're one of my favorite bands, along with van Halen
Might have been nice to see the early Who represented a little more. Kids Are Alright deserves a spot instead of just an h.m.
Top Ten The Beatles songs?
That would be a hard one.
i believe they did a few months ago.
I thought that too, but I don't think they did. I went looking for it and found nothing.
I thought they must have, I mean come on it's The Beatles, but I had a look, there's no Beatles list. Gofigure :/
I don't think you can even attempt that without grown men tears coming out...

Substitute?!
THANK YOU.
Eminence front is one of the greatest masterpieces in music history and it's only number 10??
I agree but some don't even think it belongs in the top 10! It's absolute bull crap!
B-web
I does not belong in the top ten.
I agree, THE WHO have way better songs than Eminence Front.
NChapters you need your ears cleaned out, can I take a wild guess that you are an American? It never fails to make me laugh at how Americans always pick the pure crap from British bands records, I once met a guy who tried to tell me that the kinks didn't make any decent music in the 60's....
No moon, no who.
MY LIST: 10.You Better, You Bet (1981) 9.I Can See for Miles (1967) 8.Pinball Wizard (1969) 7.Love, Reign O'er Me (1973) 6.Eminence Front (1982) 5.Behind Blue Eyes (1971) 4.My Generation (1965) 3.Won't Get Fooled Again (1971) 2.Who Are You (1978) 1.Baba O'Riley (1971)

I don't even think they have 10 albums
They do
They have way, I mean WAY, more than 10. Trust me.
+Omnom338 Rules!!!!!! they have 1 more, it wouldnt be so much a top 10 as a pick the who album you dont like :)
+blind io No No No! That's not what I'm saying! I'm saying they have way more than ten. No, they don't have 11 lol. They have like 15-20.
The fact that you included I can see for miles makes my day :)
my favorites
12. Doctor Jimmy
11. Heaven and Hell
10. Substitute
9. Won't Get Fooled Again

3. Naked Eye
2. I Don't Even Know Myself
1. My Generation (Live at Leeds)
I could name tons more but this is all I got time for right now ;)
FINALLY! THE WHO DESERVED THIS AWHILE AGO
I think most people can agree that Won't Get Fooled Again is the best Who song!
I say a quick one is my number one
donaldrocks101103 yep
C'est surement le CHEF D'OEUVRE ABSOLUT, mais, ils ont
créé "SUBSTITUTE".
Sur "quick one", il y a "disguise" avec l'extraordinaire enchainement
de Keith Moon, "quick one" et" sad about us".
Sur sell out, "mary ann", "glittering girl","odorono", "early morning"...
Le choix est donc "cornelien
In my opinion my generation is their best song
Join together
10. Eminence front
9. A quick one while he's away
8. Pinball Wizard
7. Who are you
6. I can see for miles
5. Love Reign O'er Me
4. Behind Blue eyes
3. My generation
2. Won't get fooled again
Honorable mentions : The real me, I can't explain, The kids are alright, Magic bus, See me, Feel me
1. Baba O'riley
these guys are from my home town and went to my high school. gotta love their music
Damn right! Baba O' Riley is just a perfect rock song!
Pinball wizard is definitely higher than number 8
I Can't Explain was released in 64, not 73
1. My Generation (Live at Leeds)
2. Heaven and Hell (Live at Leeds)
3. Won't Get Fooled Again
4. Baba O' Riley
5. I Can't Explain
6. The Dirty Jobs
7. We're Not Gonna Take It
8. Bargain
9. My Wife
10. I Can See For Miles
"The Real Me" belongs in the top ten. And if you're going to include "I Can See For Miles," you want a clip with Keith Moon on drums -- Kenney Jones never got that song right.
No one was ever as good as Keith Moon. If anything if they tried to play what Keith Moon played. They would ruin it so bad.
i think you will find thats simon philips
Keith was only alive when he was playing like the drum solo.
Kenny was a great drummer, he just had a different style. it was always going to be hard to replace Moon. Zak Starkey is maybe the closest you will ever get to Moon, after all it was Keith who taught him how to play. Replacing John has also been difficult. I only ever saw them once with John and there is a missing edge though the other 14 times Ive seen them, they still rock and Pino Palladino has caught something of Johns style.
Love Reign O'er Me should've been #1 and The Real Me should have been in the actual list :( Quadrophenia is a masterpiece.
I agree The Real Me is one of my favorites
Top 10 actors turned directors
10. Who are you
9. Squeeze Box

7. I can see for miles
6. Boris the spider

1. My Generation
Honorable mentions:

Love reign O'er me
Happy Jack
A quick one while he's away
The Real me
I can't explain
See me, feel me
Pinball wizard is not #8, more like 4# or maybe even 3#
Pinball Wizard is great, but it's overrated.
it's total crap like some 14 year olds in a garage band
Taterly Saladman then you don't know good music
Pinball Wizard is a good song but it doesn't deserve to be on a top ten of the best Who songs. It does not compare to other songs that were not even in the honorable mentions.
My Top 10:
10. Behind Blue Eyes
9. I Can't Explain
8. Eminence Front
7. I Can See For Miles
6. Squeeze Box
5. A Quick One While He's Away/Join Together
4. Pinball Wizard
3. Baba O'Riley
2. My Generation
1. Won't Get Fooled Again
0. The Entirety of Quadrophenia (I Consider It One Whole Song, Like The Dark Side Of The Moon)
Good list, though I reckon The Seeker should have at LEAST got an honorable mention though.
Hell yeah!
You're godamn right!
Glad to know that I'm not the only one who think that's a truly underrated song.
I think "Boris the Spider" is too often overlooked. I really enjoy listening to this forgotten piece.
10. Who Are You
9. Bargain
8. Love Reign O'er Me
7. The Seeker
6. Eminence Front
5. I Can See For Miles
4. Were Not Gonna Take It
3. Baba O Riley
2. Behind Blue Eyes
1. Won't Get Fooled Again
DO TOP TEN THIN LIZZY SONGS
It boggles my mind that Quadrophenia isn't even in the list
Great list. My personal favorite song by The Who is "Go To the Mirror" from Tommy, but the ones you selected are awesome as well.
Ive waited soooooo long now for the top 10 Muse songs!! Please do it!!! :D
I am happy to Baba O'Riley at the top, its truly a master piece!!!
The seeker should've been on the list
Good list. For comparison, here are the positions these songs gained in the list of top 50 The Who songs by RS magazine:
1. Baba O'Riley - #6
2. Won't Get Fooled Again - #1
