Video Evidence That Caleb Williams CAN'T READ A DEFENSE!! (Caleb Williams IS TRASH!!!)

  • In my previous video that I made about Caleb Williams, I received a heavy amount of backlash in the comments section, with people telling me that my video was satire and that I was lying about watching his film.
So, I've decided to make a follow up video proving that Caleb Williams has struggles when it comes to basic game situation awareness and ability to read coverages.
This will, in MY opinion, prove that Caleb Williams does not have what it takes to be a star QB in the NFL. Enjoy the video!
(I guarantee that somebody in the comment section will say "Now show the next play" for the Cal clip at the end. Running around for 5 seconds and then throwing the ball up has nothing to do with reading coverages.)

First off its college patrick mahomes said he really didn't know how to read a nfl defense until like his third or fourth year in the league an the videos your showing doesn't prove any thing it takes time to read a defense at an elite level shit Payton manning had like 27 interceptions his rookie season because he couldn't read a defense it's going to be so funny when caleb makes you eat your words

Fortunately there are stats, which are a record of what happened, that can be used to compare every play of every QB, which no scout in the world has time to watch, and it would be crazy to try to process all that information in your head. Through the power of spreadsheets, you can OBJECTIVELY answer questions like which QB has the lowest bad play% while having the highest usage rate? Last season, it was Bo Nix, by a lot. Caleb Williams was 66th. His Heisman trophy year he was 23rd (Bo Nix was 2nd). The spreadsheet I made for this doesn't have data on fumbles.

Williams pro day showed his flaws, he's a slower smaller Fields mini me. He won't throw over the middle unless receivers come to a stop, slow way down, or turn and come back to him and arent covered 90% of the time. Now that he's in the pros and has to in preseason he's having to, and he's throwing even more interceptions than he did in college. The B's media and every dishonest player can only say one thing about him, he's good at off platform throws, which means he's only good when he's running around trying not to get sacked hoping someone can get ooen.

So glad you're talking about this. Williams is a total hype mirage. He won't be nearly as elusive in the NFL, is a fumble machine, and so obviously psychologically brittle.
He's going to get hit for real and he's going to crack. He's not physically strong, or fast.
I'm a Bears fan and the pathetic media coverage and fan blindness makes me sick.

Solid commentary and review. I truly enjoyed this segment due to all of the comments good, bad, or indifferent. Context is vital when presenting a scenario or narrative. Yes, Caleb Williams has a lot of issues with reading defenses, feeling pressure that isn’t there, and simulating big plays for no apparent reason. Ok now that we are clear all NFL players have bust potential until they hit the field and allow their college talent to translate to an NFL Level. By the way, scouting is only one element of the team's process. There is the culture, and scheme fit, in addition to the impact of Coaching. My overarching theme for Caleb would be don’t believe hype, continue to learn, demand excellence from yourself put the freaking work in, be able to lead other men with your play, and embrace the pressure because it is coming.

When it came to Mahomes, people were hating on him coming out of the draft. Whether it was racial, playing for Texas Tech, playing in the "Air Raid" offense, or whatever, they were dumb as Hell. I saw Mahomes in college. What you see now is basically what he did in college, minus the great coaching and a bad team. He could read defenses, play from the pocket, and make wow throws. The issue: he was a bit undisciplined, relied more on his talent, Texas Tech had the worst defense at the time. So, he often improvised because he knew the defense sucked. So, he was trying to score as often as possible. The guy was losing games with scores such as 63-56 and 68-55 for example. Just go back and look at his college highlights and you'll see the same player. If he had played at Clemson, he probably would have won at least 2 titles, a Heisman, and been considered greatest college player ever.
Bottom-line: the "experts" were wrong, and the Chiefs were right. My thoughts on him when the Chiefs drafted him....he will be an all-time great with a chance to win multiple super bowls. When it comes to Caleb, he holds on to the ball too long, takes too many sacks, and fumbles a lot. In other words, the same criticisms of Fields can be applied to Caleb. If Caleb can't read defenses, then he will be a bust. Mahomes is a pocket passer who so happens to be great at improvising. As of right now, teams just have to make Caleb beat them from the pocket and they will be fine.

Second with blitz has first read completely covered as he’s looking at it. when you’re screaming “hot read”. He’s looking to his second and third. Which is going through progressions. by the time the blitz gets there and that hot read is open. He was already being hurried and His Only real option is to either scramble or throw to the flat. No idea the context, but if they needed a 1st, flat wasn’t an option. So, his only option was to scramble. Ultimately, Defense forced a hurry. Could he have gone back to his first read and thrown across his body in a rush?maybe. It’s Not a great play by him, but understandable.

If only you had spoken to the highly paid professionals who recruited this player! They should have a group of other highly paid professionals to show him what he can and can’t do as an NFL quarterback! What if!

Time will tell of course, but I'm saying right now, that you're completely delusional if you think Caleb will bust out.

This would be ironic, because that was Justin Fields downfall

    • @BoiledTea
      @BoiledTea Місяць тому

Justin’s downfall was relying on elite talent in college vs bad basic defenses. It took Justin 3 years to figure out how to read a cover 0

@@williamrogers-y2t it’s not hate it’s statistically accurate. He could t spot a blitz until that patriots game, he put a lot of the blame on the coaches as well saying he feels like a robot out there. Justin’s drop back is what ruins his game, he is so damn slow for being an elite athlete as well as his release time.

The hypocrisy it takes to get pissed off at a comment saying CW is a top 15 processor in the NFL before playing a game when you are saying he's a bust. Can't have it both ways, but when you''re a contrarian for the sake of being contrary I get how that becomes necessary.

If your career is based off of wishing bad on good people you will not go very far. Every player has plays they would like to have back. Not very many college qbs can read nfl defenses...duh. they only had 2 or 3 years in college. Probably hey packers fan...you cannot only look at the negative dude.

I think we all need to realize one thing you can make it in the nfl as a qb and not be able to read defences. I seen a person in the comment here. Say this is what people said about insert qt name here on both Said of this. The problem is he is a bear and yes they are not good at coaching qbs.

"He can often be seen quickly jumping from read to read and analyzing the field, ensuring he finds the right target before attempting a pass. Teams that blitz Williams also typically learn quickly that it is a mistake to do so as he showed no problem getting the ball out quickly and trusting the reads he makes." The Sporting News 02-21-2024 Young blood, all due respect, your final analysis concludes that you are right, and the rest of the scouting world got it wrong! I gotta be honest here, that's hard to digest!!
